THE HYATT CROWNS OF EXCELLENCE
For the first time, Hyatt Regency, Pune, joins the RWITC in presenting The Hyatt Crowns of Excellence, for performance at the Pune Season 2012.
The excellence awards will be presented at The Ball Room, Hyatt Regency, Pune, on Sunday October 28th in a grand cocktail- dinner reception.
Awards will be presented under the following categories and point system as under:
Points are calculated from first day of Pune Racing i.e. 26th July 2012 to 28th October 2012.
THE AWARD CATEGORIES:
Leading Owner (Overall)
Leading Owner (ten or fewer horses)
Leading Trainer (overall)
Leading Trainer (twenty or fewer horses)
Leading Jockey
Leading Allowance jockey
Leading Sire
Leading Juvenile
Leading Horse
Champion Winning Horse
Leading Filly/Mare
Leading Syndicate
OWNER: In case of partnerships, colours to be the criteria for determing ownership, except in cases where all partners are the same.
OWNER: (Category II): To be defined as owners with 10 or fewer horses. If a horse runs in a particular owners colours, it is taken as a full horse for that owner even if he has only a part share.
TRAINER: (Category II) Trainers with 20 or fewer horses at start of the season.
ALLOWANCE JOCKEY:If jockey claimed an allowance at start of the season
STAKES:To inc winning stakes only, plus trophy and performance incentive (for owners only)
CRITERIA:
for LEADING OWNER/ OWNER WITH TEN OR FEWER HORSES/ SYNDICATE
Owners will be ranked on three criteria:
1.Number of wins
2.Number of graded races won
3.Total stake money won
Under each head the top 4 owners would be given points:
1st 10pts 2nd 5pts 3rd 3pts 4th 1 pt.
Owner with maximum points would be the champion.
In case of tie, stake money leader would be the champion.
LEADING TRAINER/JOCKEY/ALLOWANCE JOCKEY
Points will be given on three criteria:
1.Number of wins
2.Strike rate % (winners to mounts/rides)
3.Stake money earned
Under each head points will be given as above.In case of tie, strike rate % will determine the winner.
To qualify, minimum rides/mounts would be 30 from the beginning of Pune Season.
LEADING SIRE/ HORSE/ FILLY
Points will be given as under:
For each win in an ordinary race 1 point.
For each win in a non graded race with 5 lacs+ to the winner 2 points.
For graded races:
Grade 1 winner: 15 points, 2nd: 8; 3rd: 4
Grade 2 winner: 10 2nd: 4; 3rd: 2
Grade 3 winner: 5 2nd: 2; 3rd: 1
Sire/Horse/Filly with maximum points will be the winner:
CHAMPION WINNING HORSE
Points: Winner of 1 race: 4 pts per race won;
Placed 2nd in a race: 2 points per race;
Placed 3rd in a race: 1 point per race.
(Note: Winner/2nd/3rd in graded races will also get points as mentioned above for this category of awards)
LEADING JUVENILE
The top five juveniles will be short listed as per the above criteria.
