Apprentice Training Program - Last Date to apply 5th April 2012

The Stewards of the RWITC Ltd, Mumbai, at their meeting held on Sunday, 11th March, 2012 have decided to invite applications for the forthcoming Apprentice Training Program wherein, a Committee has been set up to train boys / girls in a 2 Tier Training Program.
AIM
-
To train candidates to develop into thorough horse people.

To improve quality of Work Riders, Stable Assistants etc., this program will help promote candidates on the basis of their capability and ability to the field as seems fit for them.

To give the candidates the opportunity to prove themselves in the best possible field according to their aptitude.
ELIGIBILITY
-
Candidates may be a minimum of 15 years at the time of Applying.

Candidates preferably should have some form of an Education Background. (8th Pass)
TIER 1
-
To train candidates to be familiar & comfortable around horses.

To bring out their best and put it to the best possible use in the Horse Industry.

Candidates will be trained to ride horses under the supervision of the Trainers they are assigned to under the supervision of the Core Group.

Candidates will have to attend both Theoretical, Practical & Physical Classes as the program may so require.
Those candidates, who show their skills & interest we are looking for to make good quality Apprentice Jockeys, will be promoted to the 2nd Tier of the program.
Those who do not show a drive & interest to become a Jockey may be employed in various other fields within the Racing Industry as deemed fit.
TIER 2

Candidates will be given extensive Theoretical & Practical classes to become Jockeys.

They will all work with Trainers and a regular evaluation on their progress as riders will be assessed by the Core group.

It will be essential for them to maintain utmost physical fitness as well as a reasonably low weight.
The program does not guarantee the grant of Jockeys License to any selected applicant.
Candidates are requested to note that No Accommodation will be provided under the scheme and they will need to indenture themselves under a Trainer in Western India.
