SOI on the Lawns a roaring success
RWITC's new foray into staging non racing events got off to a flier with a hugely successful Symphony Orchestra of India performance on the front lawns at Mumbai.
Close to 1,500 guests, many of whom were corporate honchos sat enthralled through the 75 minute musical extravaganza, topped off by an outstanding rendition by Kailash Kher.
The evening started with cocktails as guests were seated on the lawns and in the boxes of the Grand Stand. Vivek Jain, Chairman RWITC and Khushroo Suntook, Chairman NCPA introduced the evening.
The ambience and atmosphere were unparalled, felt many visitors with a huge LED Screen providing moving images as the backdrop to the Orchestra.
The principal sponsors were Religare and Audi, with a host of associates.
Guests stayed on to partake in a food feast by Farrok Khambatta of Joss.
