Contribution towards families of our soldiers who were killed at Uri, Jammu and Kashmir
 
India witnessed a horrific terrorist attack on our soldiers who were martyred at Uri, Jammu and Kashmir last Sunday.
 
To support the grief stricken families, the RWITC Committee has sanctioned a sum of Rs.3 lakh towards the Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties, from the RWITC Charities’ Fund. The RWITC has always taken a leadership role in its CSR mission and to contribute to deserving causes.
 
We are pleased to state that the Western India Race Horse Race Owners’ Association (WIRHOA) has agreed to contribute Rs 50,000, M/s. Darashaw Foundation Rs.50,000, Mr Shiven Surendranath Rs 25,000 and Mr Pervez Andhyarujina to Rs 10,000 at very short notice for the above cause.
 
We request all owners, trainers, breeders, bookmakers and members of the public to generously donate towards the above, from their winnings or otherwise as a gesture to a national cause.
 
Cheques can be made payable either to RWITC Ltd.  or to the Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties (AWFBC) This fund is utilised to give/grant financial assistance to widows/ next of kin of battle casualties. The RWITC will collect all contributions and forward a consolidated amount to AWBFC and/or forward the cheques received directly in the name of AWFBC.
 
It is proposed that the Chairman, RWITC Ltd hand over the contributions received to the Army, after the presentation of the Southern Command Gold Trophy.
 
ALL CONTRIBUTIONS OF RS 10,000 AND OVER WILL BE ACKNOWLEDGED IN A NOTICE ON THE CLUB’s WEBSITE AND IN THE RACE CARDS ON THE KINGFISHER PUNE DERBY WEEKEND.
