Message from Chairman, RWITC Ltd

It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC), to announce a unique event in association with the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA)

In a first of its kind, the internationally renowned Symphony Orchestra of India (SOI) will bring their world famous ensemble, to the lawns of the Turf Club, in an open air concert on Saturday, February 12th, starting sharp 7.30 p.m.

The concert will be conducted by the internationally acclaimed virtuoso violinist, Marat Bisengaliev. The players are mostly international, with a core of instrumentalists drawn from the West Kazakhstan Philarmonic.

For the first time, guests will be seated in reserved boxes of the Grand Stand in the members’ enclosure to listen to the 65 person orchestra which will regale the audience from the front lawns, with the imposing race track in the background.

The showstopper will be a Grand Finale by the inimitable Kailash Kher accompanied by the SOI.

The evening begins with cocktails, followed by a 75 minute live performance, and closes with a culinary treat created by master chef Farrokh Khambatta.

The event is the result of a path breaking initiative of the RWITC and the NCPA. In keeping with the profile of the show, the dress code is formal.

Tickets at Rs 1,500 for RWITC members and Rs 2,500 for guests will be available on first come basis from January 31st.
