First ever coffee table book on Indian Racing to be launched on Sunday

In a monumental effort, the first ever coffee table book on the history of Indian racing, authored by Lynn Deas, will be launched on Sunday in the paddock.

Lynn has been bringing out the well known Racing World magazine for years, and is India’s only journal on Indian racing.  With the backing of The Turf Authorities of India, Horse Racing in India: A Royal Legacy, has been produced after years of research and the final product is tribute to her painstaking efforts.

“I have seen an initial copy, and it is outstanding in every aspect”, commented Vivek Jain, head of the RWITC’s marketing  group, and who had encouraged Lynn to go through this daunting task. “From the quality of photographs, memorabilia over the years, the content covering the growth of the sport, and its pan-India coverage has never been attempted ever before on this scale, and is a coffee table book of world standard”, added Mr Jain.

Ms Deas will present the book to the Chairman of the RWITC after the 6.30 race on Sunday, and then will host a wine-n-cheese cocktail thereafter to celebrate the launch, sign copies and when the first copies will be up for sale.
