Casino Royale Indian 2000 Guineas: Racing for a Cause

The season’s second classic, The Casino Royale Indian 2000 Guineas was flagged off at an impressive media briefing on Tuesday evening at ARC’s Riding Arena.

Lending a touch of glamour were Miss India International Neha Pinge and ramp star Fredy Darulwala, who had a few photo ops with the horses.

Mohit Lalvani introduced the day as Racing for a Cause, with the association of the Happy Home of the Blind. The physically challenged kids performed and touched everyone with their superb singing. They will perform live on Sunday in the paddock.

The 2000 Guineas Day raffle is unique. Members and guests can donate Rs.10,000 and upwards for the Happy Home and take part in a lucky draw. Draws will be made for as many as runners in the classic, and each lucky drawee will get to “own” the drawn horse. The persons so drawn can enter the paddock, as all owners, and five will be selected at random to drive in the patrol car along the horses. The member drawing the winning horse can also jointly lead in the horse!  Prizes will be a trip to Goa with free chips at Casino Royale.

An added attraction on Sunday will be a live act called Lets Tango! By the internationally recognized tango dancers from Argentina.

The race for The ET NOW Gold Cup will also be run in recognition of the telecast partnership with the RWITC.

The races will be telecast live on ET NOW between 2.30 - 5.30 pm and the entire race day continuous live on www.rwitc.com
