Big Day awaits Racing Patrons on Gitanjali Day
Close on the heels of a record breaking German Fest Christmas Carnival, the RWITC pulls out another rabbit from its hat.
The Gitanjali Indian 1000 Guineas Day is being promoted as what a top class racing day is all about. The season's first classic has a near record 4.5 million in stakes and has ten top fillies in contention-including three of the highest thought of in the country- Moonlight Romance, Siachen and Blackjack.
With Gitanjali in the fashion jewellrey business, it is but natural the day will be a feast for the fashionistas. A live show by designer Lina Tipnis with 16 models in bridal wear will be the focus of the off track action.
?
The surprise Bollywood guest is however the guest of Kishore Dhingra's Jaspal Enterprises and not Gitanjali. Karisma Kapoor, a huge name even though she has left the silver screen will present the trophy for the Jaspal Enterprises Sprint Million.
There will be prizes from Morellato watches to a pearl set from Gitanjali and 1,00,000 in cash which is being offered by Jaspal Enterprises.
?
With formal attire returning to the members lawns for the day, skirts and linen jackets should hold sway and there are prizes for the best dressed.
?
The entire race day goes live for the first time ever on www.rwitc.com and ET NOW will have the live telecast from 2.30 to 5.30 pm to ensure the classic gets all-India viewership.
In addition, to top off an already packed day the Indian Stallion Register, a new offering of the Stud Book Department will be released just before the Guineas.
