Mumbai: A large Indian delegation will take part in the 35th Asian Racing Conference (ARC) to be held in Hong Kong from May 5 to 8.
As Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) heads the Turf Authorities of India, RWITC Chairman Vivek Jain will lead the delegation and unfurl the Indian flag at the opening ceremony. Jain will also announce Mumbai as the venue for the 36th ARC in January 2016 and unveil the logo for the Mumbai leg.
The Conference will be spread over four days and will cover all aspects of the sport like stewarding, breeding, technology, marketing, medication and the future of the sport.
“I’m privileged to head the delegation and it would be a proud moment for RWITC to carry the flag on behalf of India. The conference will be a great learning experience and act as a precursor for the next conference in Mumbai,” stressed Jain.
The Indian delegation is expected to include leading breeders Cyrus Poonawalla, Zavaray Poonawalla and Ameeta Mehra apart from Chairmen of Hyderabad and Bangalore Turf Clubs.
