The Best of UK Racing to come to India

In a first of its kind deal, Delta Lifestyle and Entertainment Private Limited has acquired the exclusive telecast, internet and mobile rights for the best of British Horse Racing for Indian racing fans.

The deal which is till 2016 will begin immediately in the mid-year with the prestigious mile and a half group race, The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Stakes, this Saturday from 7 PM onwards on Neo Sports and/or Neo Prime.

Delta Lifestyle which already owns India's longest running TV show on horse racing, The Winning Post, already has an established relationship with Neo Sports.

"It is a premium lifestyle and sporting product and one that is a visual treat," said Delta Lifestyle and Entertainment MD, Mohit Lalvani. "We will showcase 22 of the best races each year including Royal Ascot where Queen Elizabeth is the patron and which is not just the best week of horse racing but a fashion statement as well.

It is a direct complement to Indian horse racing and I am thankful that the racing authorities have come forward to support it. Both the RWITC and RCTC have already committed their support and our proposals are pending with the other turf clubs as well. Kunigal Stud which is one of India's leading farms has also lent their weight to the project. We are truly excited by this development," he ended.

Vivek Jain, Chairman, Marketing and Media Working Group, Committee Member, RWITC said that the RWITC is happy to lend its support to this endeavour as it promotes racing and puts India on the global racing map.

The ten race events will start in May each year with the Guineas weekend and end with the Champions Day at Ascot at the end of the year.
