India,Spore rookie jockeys to compete

Mumbai: The top apprentice jockeys of the India and Singapore will exhibit their skills in a four-race contest to be held over two days of coming weekend at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse.
The five apprentice jockeys each from both the countries will try to prove their superiority in these races where the winner will get 15 points while second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth finisher will earn 10,7,5,3 and 2 points respectively.The winning team will be awarded a silver whip.
In case of a dead-heat for any place,the jockeys involved will receive an equal share of the aggregate number of points for that finishing position and the subsequent place e.g. If there is a dead-heat for the 3rd position,the aggregate points of 12 (i.e 7 points for the 3rd and 5points for the 4th) will be distributed amongst the two jockeys involved in the dead-heat i.e 6 points each.
There will be a contest of skill where anyone who predicts the name of the winning team will get a Tata Nano car as a reward but sadly this contest is not free.One will need to place a bet of Rs 500 (and in multiples thereof ) at Tote windows to be eligible for a contest form on Saturday. But if one wishes to enter the contest on Sunday, he will have to bet at least Rs 1000 on Tote.The forms can be deposited before the match races on both the days.
The races:
On Saturday: Thumbelina Trophy and Aerospace Trophy.
On Sunday: Jaguar Trophy and Indo-Singapore Apprentice Champions Trophy.
