Mumbai: Wonder mare In The Spotlight finished fourth in a four- horse photo-finish in the Dubai Duty-Free Full Of Surprises, at the Meydan race track, in Dubai on Thursday.
The Indian champion was favourite at 2/1 in the race.British horse Anatolian won the race with Irish horse Ahzeemah finishing second.
South African horse Star Empire was third,just a neck ahead of the highest stakes earner in Indian racing history. The verdict for the first four placings was Hd,Nk and Nk.
It was a great performance considering In The Spotlight was running under lights and anti-clockwise for the first time in her career, said her trainer S Padmanabhan.
