RE: COMMENCEMENT OF TESTING AND THRESHOLD LIMIT FOR ‘COBALT’
IN URINE AND BLOOD PLASMA
The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 3rd April 2016 have decided to analyze the urine sample of race horses for the detection of Cobalt with immediate effect with the following threshold limit, as has been approved by the International Federation of Horseracing Authorities :-
Cobalt : 0.1 microgram total cobalt per milliliter in urine
Cobalt : 0.025 microgram total (free and protein bound) cobalt per milliliter in plasma
It has been decided to place Cobalt in Class 3 as has been classified by the RCI.
The testing for Cobalt will be effective on and from the commencement of Pune Meeting 2016.
