RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES WIDE FROM 2400 METRES TO 2200 METRES, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2200METRES TO1000 METRES, RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES TO 800 METRES, THERE AFTER 3 METRES WIDE UPTO WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

On a request from Trainer M. Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer S. Narredu to saddle his charge LORD FENICIA & AMBER KNIGHT in the 3rd race, GALWAY BAY in the 4th race, FLAMING FIRE in the 5th race and IMMORTAL LOVE in the 6th race, at his own (Trainer M. Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer S. Ganappathy, permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge LIGHTNING FLAME in the 8th race, at his own (Trainer S. Ganapathy’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(86) – THE NANA RAGHUNATH CUP: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners -  6

 

Approaching the 800 metres, WELLINGTON (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have dropped back for no apparent reason and thereafter ran detached from the field. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the being stalled, REGAL COMMAND (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) was restless and not allowing its rider to settle. Trainer Karthik Ganpathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (RASPUTIN) reported that soon after the start his mount was inclined outwards and had to be steadied.

 

RACE NO.2(87) – THE MATHAIYUS TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  4

RACE NO.3(88) – THE SOUTHERN COMMAND TROPHY  - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners -  10

 

GOLDIVA (A. Sandesh, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 3 lengths at the start.

 

After the race, Jockey N. B. Kuldeep (ATTENBOROUGH) reported that approaching the 400 metres his mount had weakened and thereafter leaned inwards.

 

After the race, ATTENBOROUGH was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(89) – THE COL. KAIKHUSHROO MANECKJI BHARUCHA MEMORIAL TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres –Runners- 14

 

In the process of stalling it was observed that one of the fore shoe of CHARLIE had came off as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order.

 

Soon after the start, MIDAS TOUCH (C. S. Jodha) and SKY HAWK (T. S. Jodha) were observed to have jostled and had to be steadied. Thereafter SKY HAWK shifted in thereby tightening and forcing VENUS (Dashrath Singh) inwards onto GALWAY BAY (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockey T. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 600 metres, VENUS (Dashrath Singh) shifted out under urgings thereby tightening GALWAY BAY (Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. After questioning Jockey Dashrath Singh and not being satisfied with his explanation, as such his Jockey’s licence has been suspended for one race day i.e. on Saturday, 15th October 2022 (permitted to ride work/mock race) for careless riding.

 

Passing the 600 metres, FLASH FORCE (H. M. Akshay) shifted in and went across ZARAK (A. Sandesh) causing the later to be checked. Jockey H. M. Akshay has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, SKY HAWK was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(90) – THE FIELD MARSHAL SAM MANEKSHAW MEMORIAL TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  14

 

Approaching the 1000 metres, SIM SIM (T. S. Jodha) leaned inwards thereby tightening DESERT FIRE (Dashrath Singh). Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, DESERT FIRE (Dashrath Singh) shifted out at the same time FARREL (R. Ajinkya) leaned inwards due to which SIM SIM (T. S. Jodha) racing between them was tightened for room and had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/- and Jockey R. Ajinkya has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 600 metres, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted out at the same time FARELL (R. Ajinkya) leaned inwards due to which DESERT FIRE (Dashrath Singh) racing between them had to be steadied.

 

Passing 100 metres, FLAMING FIRE (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in under urging thereby forcing FARELL (R. Ajinkya) inwards onto DESERT FIRE (Dashrath Singh) causing the later to be checked. App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Shinde (SOVEREIGN MASTER) reported that his mount was restless in the stall and not allowing him to settle in stall. Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (DESERT FIRE) reported that his mount was leaning in the stall and not allowing him to settle. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, DESERT FIRE was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

 

The Equine hospital reported that EXCELLENT GOLD had both eye injuries (sore).

 

RACE NO.6(91) – THE SOUTHERN COMMAND TROPHY - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10

 

At the request of Tr. Narendra Lagad, BOMBAY was examined at 10.15 a.m. on 25th September 2022, by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to be sore from left fore leg. As such the gelding was withdrawn and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race

 

The Sr. V.O. reported that on a request from Trainer S. Narredu (Deputizing for Tr. M. Narredu) IMMORTAL LOVE was examined at the saddling enclosure as the filly had played up due to which the outside bruise hair of right knee came off. Since there was no bleeding from the wound, the filly was trotted and found to be sound.

 

At the start, DUFY (P. Trevor, dr.5) jumped inwards and bumped PERFECT WIN (Bhawani Singh, dr.4) and thereafter ricochets onto VINCENT VAN GOGH (A. Sandesh, dr.6).

 

Approaching the 1000 metres, NELSON RIVER (R. Ajinkya) was observed to be keen and in the efforts to settle his mount he shifted out and carried MONT BLANC (J. Chinoy) outwards.

 

Passing the 600 metres, FAIRUZA (S. Zervan) shifted out thereby taking the grounds of MONT BLANC (J. Chinoy) causing the later to clip and stumble. After the race on questioning, Jockey S. Zervan stated that the saddle on his mount had shifted to one side and in his efforts to straighten the same his mount leaned outwards. The matter has been reported to the Stewards for such action as they may deem fit.

 

Passing the 300 metres, MONT BLANC (J. Chinoy) hung in and collided with the inner rails. Also, It was observed that Jockey J. Chinoy (MONT BLANC) had used his whip in an improper manner, as such, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey Antony Raj S. (MILLI) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MONT BLANC, IMMORTAL LOVE & MILLI were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(92) – THE WOLF 777 INDIAN ST. LEGER (GRADE 1): (About) 2800 Metres – Runners -  5

 

Jockey A. Imran Khan (KARANVEER) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2022, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

RACE NO.8(93) – THE D. D. PILLAI TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners -  10

 

Jockey K. Nazil (ROYAL CASTLE) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2022, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Jockey N. B. Kuldeep (ANGELS TRUMPET) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2022, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

The urine samples of the MARKET KING (Winner – 2nd race) & VINCENT VAN GOGH (Winner -6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

 

The urine and blood samples of the ZUCCARELLI (Winner – 7th race), EXEMPLIFY (Second place -7th race) & KARANVEER (3rd place – 7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
