RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 1600 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 2 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

On a request from Trainer Aravind G., permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge SMITHSONIAN in the 1^st race & QUEEN REGNANT in the 3^rd race, at his own (Trainer Aravind G.’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, permission was granted to Trainer Himmat Singh to saddle his charge TOUCH OF FURY in the 2^nd race, THUNDERCLAP in the 4^th race & ATTENBOROUGH in the 8^th race, at his own (Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(62) – THE P. HADOW TROPHY - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9

At the start, EXCELLENT GOLD (J. Chinoy, dr.1) jumped outwards at the same time REMUS (Antony Raj S., dr.3) jumped inwards thereby bumping and tightening ARIES (Bhawani Singh, dr.2) drawn between them thereafter BUCKLEY (A. Sandesh) shifted in and EXCELLENT GOLD (J. Chinoy, dr.1) further shifted out as a result bumping and tightening REMUS causing the latter to be checked. After the race, Jockey J. Chinoy reported that his mount jumped outwards despite his efforts. In view of the behavior of the gelding Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

At the start, DALI SWIRL (S. Saqlain, dr.7) shifted in and made contact with EXCELERATOR (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.6).

After the race, SUPERLEGGERA (S. Zervan) was trotted and found to be sound but had injury on right hind chestnut and lost his right hind shoe, EXCELLENT GOLD (J. Chinoy) was trotted and found to be sound and BUCKLEY (A. Sandesh) was trotted and found to be sound at the stables.

The Equine hospital reported that DALI SWIRL had both eye injuries, left eye sore, EXCELLENT GOLD had right eye injury and ARIES had a left eye injury (sore).

RACE NO.2(63) – THE DR. P. K. SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY - DIVISION II: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 10

At the start, TOUCH OF FURY (Nirmal Jodha, dr.3) jumped outwards and brushed the haunches of THUNBERG (C Umesh, dr.4).

At the start, HAWK OF THE WIND (Yash Narredu, dr.8) jumped inwards onto MANIAC (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.7) who inturn shifted in onto PRECIOSO (Akshay Gaikwad, dr.6) thereafter HAWK OF WIND veered outwards thereby taking the grounds of HIGH SPIRIT (J. Chinoy, dr.9). After the race Jockey Yash Naredu reported that his mount was erratic after the start. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

Approaching the 300 metres, PRECIOSO (Akshay Gaikwad) shifted in under urging thereby bumping and taking grounds of MANIAC (Prashant P. Dhebe) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back. After questioning Jockey Akshay Gaikwad and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Passing the 200 metres, LADY DI (N. B. Kuldeep) shifted out under pressure and carried CHAMPAGNE SMILE (Vishal N. Bunde) outwards. Jockey N. B. Kuldeep has been reprimanded.

It was observed that MOON BELLE (Bhawani Singh) hung out in the straight despite Jockey’s efforts. Trainer Karthik Ganpathy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, HAWK OF THE WIND & MOON BELLE were trotted and found to be sound & THUNBERG had injury on right fore outer bulb of heel & lost its right fore shoe.

RACE NO.3(64) – THE MOOSA M. HOOSEIN TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 10

Soon after the start, TWELFTH EARL (App. P. Vinod) shifted in under urgings thereby and went across COUNT THE WINS (K. Nazil) causing the latter to check and drop back. As such, App. P Vinod has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Approaching the 150 metres, SHE IS ON FIRE (A. Sandesh) leaned inwards onto DIVINE HUNT (S. Saqlain) under pressure causing the latter to be steadied. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

After the race, SHE IS ON FIRE & COUNT THE WINS were trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine hospital reported that SHE IS ON FIRE had both eye injuries, right eye sore, POWER OF THOR had left eye injury (sore) and THE FLUTIST had right eye injury (sore).

RACE NO.4(65) – THE P. HADOW TROPHY - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 9

At the start, MAJESTIC WARRIOR (J. Chinoy, dr.2) jumped inwards onto ARABIAN PHOENIX (K. Nazil, dr.1).

Soon after the start, DESERT FIRE (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in and went across PURE (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to be steadied. App. Mustakim Alam has been severely cautioned.

Approaching the 250 metres, THUNDERCLAP (C. S. Jodha) was observed to have weakened and dropped back for no apparent reason. After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha reported that the gelding had suddenly given up and dropped back. As such, the gelding was subjected to Veterinary examination and found to be sound.

It was observed that Jockey K Nazil (ARABIAN PHOENIX) was not wearing the goggles as such he has been fined Rs.500/-.

After the race, PRIDE’S ANGEL, DESERT FIRE & PURE were trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine hospital reported that RAFFAELLO had left eye injury (sore).

RACE NO.5(66) – THE TURF AUTHORITIES OF INDIA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8

At the start, PETRONIA (K. Nazil, dr.4) jumped out throwing its head.

At the start, SUMMER NIGHT (R. Ajinkya, dr.2) jumped outwards onto MULTISTARRER (N. S. Parmar, dr.3).

After the race, SUMMER NIGHT was trotted and found to be sound.

After the race, ALICIA was found to be in distress accordingly cold water shower was provided and she was found to be in relief.

RACE NO.6(67) – THE YOHAN Z. POONAWALLA TURF CLUB TROPHY (GRADE 3): (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 8

At the start, ENDEAVOUR (C. S. Jodha, dr.5) jumped out throwing its head.

Approaching the 150 metres, it was observed that JOAQUIN (S. Zervan) had weakened and dropped back for no apparent reason. As such, the gelding was subjected to Veterinary examination and found to have EIPH (Gr.II).

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (ASHWA BRAVO) reported that his mount hung-out in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer M. Srinivas Reddy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

RACE NO.7(68) – THE AMJAD KHAN TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14

MYRCELLA (S. Zervan, dr.10) refused to stall despite substantial efforts as such the mare was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. In view of above and a similar behavior of the mare in her last start where she was accepted to run, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show her in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

At the start, DOWSABEL (Amyn Merchant, dr.3) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of SENSIBLITY (R. Ajinkya, dr.2).

At the start, AGOSTINO CARRACCI (K. Nazil, dr.6) jumped outwards and at the same time COEUR DE LION (J. Chinoy, dr.7) jumped inwards and they made contact.

Approaching the 300 metres, MAGILITO (S. Saqlain) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening FLASH FORCE (App. A. S. Peter) causing the latter to check and drop back as a result SENSIBILTY (R. Ajinkya) racing on its haunches had to be steadied. Jockey S. Saqlain has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Approaching the 200 metres, COEUR DE LION (J. Chinoy) leaned inwards thereby tightening and inconveniencing SLAM DUNK (App. P. Vinod) causing the latter to be checked. After the race, Jockey J. Chinoy reported that his mount hung-in, despite his efforts. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Jockey S. Saqlain (MAGILETO) reported the loss of whip in the final stages of the race. This being his first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2022, no action has been initiated.

After the race, COEUR DE LION was trotted and found to be sound.

RACE NO.8(69) – THE DR. P. K. SARDESHMUKH MAHARAJ TROPHY - DIVISION I: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 11

On the arrival at the start, at the request of Jockey Santosh G. (ATTENBOROUGH) the saddle on his mount was adjusted.

After being stalled, FANCY NANCY (Antony Raj S., dr.2) played up as such the filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, MOJO (Amyn Merchant, dr.6) jumped inwards onto WALTER (R. Ajinkya, dr.5) who was marginally slow to begin.

Approaching the 1000 metres, MOJO (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and went across PERFECT WIN (A. Sandesh) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back. After questioning, Jockey Amyn Merchant has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

Passing the 400 metres, MONTGOMERY (C. Umesh) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening RISTRETTO (S. Mosin) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back onto MOJO (Amyn Merchant). After questioning Jockey C. Umesh and not being satisfied with his explanation, his Jockey’s licence has been suspended for one race day i.e. on Sunday, 9^th October 2022, (permitted to ride work/mock race).

Approaching the 200 metres, PERFECT WIN (A. Sandesh) shied outwards and had to be steadied as a result inconveniencing ATTENBOROUGH (Santosh G.).

Passing the 200 metres, WILD THING (N. S. Parmar) shifted in and went across MONTGOMERY (C. Umesh). Jockey N. S. Parmar has been cautioned.

Jockey N. B. Kuldeep (BLUE’S PRIDE) reported that his mount was running green and was hesitant to run with the field and dropping back throughout the race.

After the race, FANCY NANCY was trotted and found to be sound but had a gum injury and PERFECT WIN had a gum injury.

RACE NO.9(70) – FRENCH RACING ON PLAY.RWITC.COM PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 14

In the process of backing in ESFIR (K. Nazil, dr.10) kicked the front gate as such the filly was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and found to have injury on left hock. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

After being stalled, REGAL PRINCE (Dashrath Singh, dr.8) played up and hooked its fore in the adjoining stall and casted himself in an awkward position as such the gelding was withdrawn before coming under Starter’s order. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

DAULAT MAI (Akash Agarwal, dr.2) was reluctant to stall and thereafter jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, SUSSING (D. R. Shubham, dr.5) jumped inwards onto ALLIED ATTACK (T. S. Jodha, dr.4).

After the race, Jockey S. Saqlain (ANOUSHKA) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

The Equine hospital reported that COLD PURSUIT had left eye injury and MARIELLA had left eye injury (sore).

The urine samples of the THUNBERG (Winner – 2^nd race) & SUCCESSOR (Winner – 5^th race), and the special sample of JOAQUIN (6^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

The urine and blood samples of the IRON AGE (Winner – 6^th race) & LEOPARD ROCK (2^ndplace – 6^th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
