RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 4 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Vishal Gaikwad, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh to saddle his charge RAECHELLES PRIDE in the 8th race, at his own (Trainer Vishal Gaikwad’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(28) –THE MASOOM MASTER TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 12
DALASAN (N. S. Parmar, dr.10) & WALK THE TALK (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.8) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths each at the start.
Passing the 600 metres, PATRIOTS DAY (M. Ayyar) shifted out under urgings and carried SHE IS ON FIRE (S. Zervan) and MEMORABLE MOMENTS (A. Sandesh) outwards. Jockey M. Ayyar has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (DALASAN) reported that his mount jumped out slowly and thereafter veered outwards. Trainer S Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, CHASTITY and DALASAN were found to be sore by the left hind leg and right fore leg respectively. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, NOBLE KING was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, MEMORABLE MOMENTS and PATRIOTS DAY were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(29) –THE CARDINAL PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 8
At the start, DIVINE SOUL (M. Ayyar, dr.1) jumped outwards and went across UNCLAIMED TREASURE (App. A. S. Peter, dr.2) who was marginally slow to begin and made contact with IMPERMANENCE (A. Sandesh, dr.3)
Approaching the 600 metres, Jockey K. Nazil (SCOTTISH SCHOLAR) was observed to have repeatedly looked back. After the race on questioning, he stated that as his mount was leaning inwards and he had looked back to see if he was sufficiently clear of the other runners.
After the race, UNCLAIMED TREASURE and IMPERMANENCE were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(30) – THE JEFFERSON PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 5
Approaching the 300 metres, BOLD LEGEND (App. P. S. Kaviraj) was denied of a clear passage and had to be checked.
An enquiry has been initiated into running and riding of BOLD LEGEND (App. P. S. Kaviraj) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, CIRCLE OF LOVE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(31) –THE INGLENOOK PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres –Runners- 7
After the race, REVELATOR was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, ENID BLYTON was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that REVELATOR, ENID BLYTON & GIANT STAR had left eye injuries (sore).
The Equine Hospital reported that MAJESTIC WARRIOR & BAKHTAWAR had right eye injuries (sore).
RACE NO.5(32) –THE STAR SUPERIOR TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 8
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (SILVER FLAMES) reported the loss of whip at about 50 metres. This being his first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2021, no action has been initiated.
After the race, SILVER FLAMES was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that EXCELLENT GOLD had a right eye injury (sore) and AUGUSTUS CAESAR had a right eye injury.
RACE NO.6(33) –THE S. A. POONAWALLA MILLION (GRADE 3): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 6
JUICED (A. Sandesh, dr.2) jumped out slowly losing about 4 lengths at the start. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
In the final stages of the race, PETRONIA (K. Nazil) shifted out and carried ALICIA (P. S. Chouhan) outwards. It is also observed that Jockey K. Nazil had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit. After the race on questioning, Jockey K. Nazil stated that his mount hung out despite his efforts as the same was borne from the video recording of the race, no action has been initiated against the Jockey. However, Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.7(34) – THE RAO SAHEB KEDARI GOLD TROPHY : (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 12
FARAHNOUSH (Yash Narredu, dr.7) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. In view of a similar behavior of the filly in her last run. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
Jockey A. Imran Khan (LADIDA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2021, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, Jockey M. Ayyar (ZAFIRO) reported that his mount hung out throughout the race, despite his efforts. It was observed that the gelding had finish on the extreme outside. Trainer S. S. Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
The Sr. V.O. reported that SEMINOLE was declared to run without bandages but ran with bandages on both hind. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been fined Rs.1,000/- for his lapse.
After the race, ZAFIRO was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.8(35) –THE GREAT SECRET PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 14
At the request of Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, REMUS was examined in the stable area at 5.15 p.m. on 6/11/2021 and was found to be suffering from fever, as such the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
TORMENTA STORM (M. Ayyar, dr.6) refused to stall despite substantial efforts. As such, the filly withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer S. S. Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
MAGIC IN THE WIND (N. S. Parmar, dr.7) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start
At the start, LAGERTHA (App. P. Vinod, dr.9) jumped outwards and made contact with GILT EDGE (K. Nazil, dr.10) forcing it outwards on to NOBLE LORD (App. A. Prakash, dr.11).
Passing the 800 metres, WALSHY (H. Zeeshan) was observed to have leaned inwards thereby brushing the rails.
Approaching the 200 metres, FUHRER (App. P. S. Kaviraj) shifted out under pressure and carried ALASTAIR (P. S. Chouhan) outwards. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, LAGERTHA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, GILT EDGE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
RE: ENQUIRY OF APP. JOCKEY A. S. PETER INTO TRYING TO SUPRESS THE RT-PCR COVID-19 POSITIVE REPORT IN CONNIVANCE WITH THE LAB TECHNICIAN AND MISLEADING THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS:
In this connection, the Stewards of the Club heard App. Jockey A. S. Peter, having deliberated the matter, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by App. Jockey A. S. Peter and held him guilty of dishonorable practice and also misleading the Stipendiary Stewards, the Stewards decided :-
1) to suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 14th November to 28th November, 2021 (both days inclusive); (permitted to ride work/mock race).
2) Further, to impose on him a suspended sentence of three months over the next two years i.e. if he is found guilty of tendering misleading evidence and/or any dishonorable action in connection with racing, within the next two years commencing from 30th October 2021, then the aforesaid suspended sentence of three months would immediately come into force and effect and which aforesaid punishment would be in addition to any other punishment which the Stewards may impose on him for any subsequent act of his as regards the aforesaid.

RE: SUSPENSION OF JOCKEY S. ZERVAN’S LICENCE FROM 14TH NOVEMBER TO 21ST NOVEMBER 2021 (BOTH DAYS INCLUSIVE) FOR MISBEHAVIOUR/MISCONDUCT:
Jockey S. Zervan informed to this office, that he did not wish to appeal against the above decision of the Stewards of the Club and requested to advance his suspension date.
In view of the above, his Jockey’s license will now stand suspended from 13th November to 14th November 2021 (both days inclusive) for misbehavior/misconduct.
