RACE DAY REPORT
RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.
FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 2 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 4 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
RACE NO.1 (99) – THE SONNY BRAR TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 4
KIMIKO (C.Umesh, dr. 4 ) lost about three lengths at the Start, Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
After the Race the V.O reported the following:
GOLDEN DANCER was examined and was found to have an injury on its Left Hind Fetlock
RACE NO.2 (100) – THE MATHRADAS GOCULDAS TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
At the Start, MARKET KING (Vivek G. dr. 2) jumped outwards onto SUN OF A GUN ( A.Prakash dr. 3)
After the Race, an objection was lodged by Jockey P.Trevor rider of IRISH GOLD, placed third by the judge against Jockey Neeraj Rawal rider of ULTIMO, placed 1st by the judge and Jockey Vivek G, rider of MARKET KING placed 2nd by the judge stating that “ in the last 50 meters ULTIMO came out and MARKET KING has come in and I had to break my horse’s stride and momentum which cost me a certain Race.” The Stewards after having heard the submissions made by all three Jockeys, having viewed the replay of the Race from all angles, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations decided to over-rule the objection and the placing remains unchanged as declared by the judge.
The Stipendiary Stewards after questioning all concerned decided to fine Jockey P.Trevor Rs 10,000/-and Jockey Vivek G Rs 5,000/-
After the Race The V.O reported the following:
CHRISTOPHANY was examined and was found to be Sore by Right Fore . As such, the mare has to be passed Fit by the Clubs V.O before next accepting to Race.
RACE NO.3 (101) – THE NADIR & YAWAR RASHID TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
Trainer Behram Cama has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late declaration in respect of his charge AXLROD.
At the start SENECA ( P.Trevor, dr. 4 ) jumped inwards onto ASHWA BRAZIL (Bharat Singh, dr 3) at the same time AXLROD (T.S. Jodha dr. 1 ) jumped outwards onto WINGS OF FURY (Neeraj Rawal dr 2 ) due to the incident WINGS OF FURY had to check and drop back.
In the final stages of the race, BISHOP (Vivek G) shifted out under the use of whip thereby carrying AMAZING RULER (Amyn Merchant) outwards, After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey Vivek G has been fined Rs 5,000/-
After the race Jockey T. S. Jodha (AXLROD) reported that his saddle slipped passing the 800 metres marker. As such, Trainer Behram Cama has been fined 2,000/- for his lapse.
Jockey Amyn Merchant(AMAZING RULER) reported that his saddle slipped soon after the start . As such, Trainer Faisal A Abbas been fined Rs 2,000/- for his lapse

WINGS OF FURY was trotted and found to be sound
RACE NO.4 (102) – THE R. M. & RUKMANI GOCULDAS MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS – 12
ASHWA ANKARA ( K. Nazil dr. 10 ) was reluctant to be stalled .Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to Race.
At the start, AGEISJUSTANUMBER (Mustakim Alam dr. 9) jumped inwards onto HOUSE OF LORDS (Bharat Singh dr.8 ) who further shifted in and went across MILA (T.S.Jodha dr.7).
Soon after the start, SILVER STRIKE (C.Umesh ) shifted in and went across PURE ( N.S.Parmar ) who was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 900 Metres AGEISJUSTANUMBER (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing MILA ( T.S.Jodha) racing on its haunches causing the later to check and drop back. After questioning and not being satisfied App. Mustakim Alam has been fined Rs. 3000/-.
After the Race the V.O reported the following:
STARSEED was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5 (103) – THE N. M. IRANI TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
Soon after the start, ORGANISED CHAOS (Nirmal Jodha) leaned
in onto ACE IN THE FIELD (Akshay Kumar) who further shifted in onto JANHAVI (Mustakim
Alam) who made contact with SPARKS FLY
(A. Prakash) After questioning and not being satisfied ,Jockey Nirmal Jodha has
been fined Rs 2,000/-
Approaching the 400 Metres PALOMA (Yash Narredu) leaned out
onto ORGANISED CHAOS
(Nirmal Jodha) who further shifted out thereby carrying STORM MAJESTY(P Trevor)
outwards. After the Race on questioning, Jockey Yash Narredu (PALOMA) reported
that his mount was running erratic throughout the race. As such, Trainer
M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to
Race.
The Equine Hospital reported the following:
ROGUE was examined at the Stables and was found to be sound
RACE NO.6 (104) – THE NAWABZADA RASHIDUZZAFAR KHAN TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 14
Trainer Behram Cama has been fined Rs.3,000/- for putting in late declaration in respect of his charge FLOYD.
ESCONIDO (S.
Zervan dr. 3) lost considerable ground at the start, as such Trainer S. Waheed
has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the
satisfaction of the Starter in
(Two Mock Races) before next accepting to race.
Approaching the 1400 Metres PHANTASMIQUE (C. Umesh) shifted in and went across ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS (Akshay Kumar) causing the latter to be checked .Jockey C Umesh has been cautioned.
Passing the 300
meters MARIUS (Kirtish Bhagat) shifted out , at the same time MERCHANT OF
VENICE (Nirmal Jodha) shifted in thereby tightening and inconviencing TREASURE GOLD
(App. A. Omkar) racing between them causing the latter to check and change
course . Jockey Nirmal Jodha and Jockey Kritish Bhagat have been cautioned
After the Race , the Jockeys reported the following :
App Ritesh Goochi (SIMOLA) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the bend despite his efforts, Trainer James Mckeown has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to Race.
Jockey Kritish Bhagat (MARIUS) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight despite his efforts, Trainer P Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to Race.
Jockey C. Umesh (PHANTASMIQUE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the bend despite his efforts and also stated that the bit used on his mount had shifted to the right and therefore, he was not able to ride out his mount to his full advantage, Trainer Imtiaz A Sait has been asked to ensure to use serviceable equipment on his mount.
Jockey Kritish Bhagat was observed to have used the Whip above the prescribed limit on his mount MARIUS. This being his second offence in the current Mumbai Meeting 2025-26, he is being fined Rs 5,000/-
Jockey K. Nazil was observed to have used the Whip above the prescribed limit on his mount BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY. This being his First offence in the current Mumbai Meeting 2025-26, he is being fined Rs 3,000/-
After the Race the V.O reported the following:
AGATHA was examined and was found to have a gum injury
BRAVO ZULO was trotted and found to be sound
RACE NO.7 (105) – THE S. A. WAHID PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 11
SENTINEL (Bhawani Singh) was reluctant to be stalled,Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
Soon after the Start, MUSKOKA (Haridas Gore dr. 9) shifted in , at the same time MISS MAGIC (Amyn Merchant dr. 4) shifted out thereby tightening and unconvincing RISE ALL STARS (S.G.Prasad dr.7) causing the latter to check and drop Back. Jockey Haridas Gore and Jockey Amyn Merchant have been cautioned
After the Race , the VO reported the following:
RISE ALL STARS was trotted and found to be sound
AR FIRST STAR was trotted and found to be sound
SENTINEL was examined and was found to have a cut injury on its Right Fore Fetlock
OPEN MOCK RACE
RUNNING AWAY refused to be stalled despite substantial efforts .As Such ,Traienr M Narredu has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to Race

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the 2nd ,4th ,5th ,6th race, viz.ULTIMO,SILVER STRIKE,STORM MAJESTY,MERCHANT OF VENICE and the special samples of KIMIKO(1ST race), MUSKOKA ( 7th Race ), AR FIRST STAR (7TH Race) were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

The Stewards at their meeting held on Sunday, 8th February 2026 interviewed Trainer Behram Cama regarding the Certificate of B-Sample Analysis (Confirmatory Analysis Report) dated 27th January 2026 from Laboratoire des Courses Hippiques, France in respect of the post race urine sample of b f NEBULA (Winner) in Race No. 25 – The Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Memorial Trophy run on 7th December 2025.
“Result : Presence of LAMOTRIGINE”
A copy of the above report was handed over to Trainer Behram Cama and he was asked to continue his own enquiries and to lead evidence, if any, to prove mitigating circumstances, within 15 days and to also attend the enquiry to be held by the Stipendiary Stewards and the Sr. Veterinary Officer of the Club, as and when you would be required to.
Further, as per the Medication Rules, the Stewards of the Club have decided to disqualify b f NEBULA (Winner) in Race No. 25 – The Prince Karim Aga Khan IV Memorial Trophy run on 7th December 2025 and revised the order of placing of the race as under :-
LADY SCARLET - FIRST; ALEXIOS - FOURTH
MYSTICA - SECOND; PUCCINI - FIFTH
MARGARETTA - THIRD;
RE: RACE NO.90: THE TATTERSALLS MILLION: RUN ON 1ST FEBRUARY 2026:
The Equine Hospital reported that VINCERO had left eye injury (sore).
RE: MORNING TRACK WORK HELD ON 4TH FEBRUARY 2026
HAGIBIS was examined by the Clubs V.O at the equine hospital and was found to have EIPH GRADE II and is not permitted to Race for the Stipulated time period of 4 weeks and has to be passed fit by the Clubs VO before next accepting to Race
