ADDITIONAL REPORT/S:

RE: REQUEST TO RE-VIEW AND RECONSIDER THE DECISION OF THE STEWARDS OF THE CLUB FOR SUSPENDING JOCKEY'S LICENCE OF MR. A. SANDESH FOR 12 RACE DAYS I.E. W.E.F. 215T JANUARY 2026 TO 29TH MARCH 2026 (BOTH DAYS INCLUSIVE) AND TO FINE HIM A SUM OF Rs. 1,00,000/- RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF "BEZALEL" (DRAWN 8) IN RACE NO. 42 THE SYNTHESIS TROPHY (DIV. II) (DIST. 1400 MTRS.) RUN ON 21ST DECEMBER 2025:

In connection with the captioned subject matter, the Stewards of the Club, at their meeting held on 21st January 2026, met Jockey A. Sandesh and his spokesperson, Mr. Dallas Todywalla, as also Trainer P.S. Chouhan. The Stewards of the Club considered all documents placed before them Including, the endoscopy report dated 18th January 2026 in respect of b.g. BEZALEL together with emails from Jockey A. Sandesh dated 20th and 21st January 2026, as also an email dated 21st January 2026 from Trainer P. S. Chouhan. The Stewards duly deliberated upon the submissions/material placed before them.

The Stewards were of the view that the gelding's performances in its subsequent race (i.e. Race No. 73 run on 18th January 2026) and any veterinary findings arising thereafter are not relevant to the enquiry conducted in connection with riding of Jockey A. Sandesh on BEZALEL in Race No. 42 held on 21st December 2025 ("said Race").

The enquiry and the findings recorded in connection with the riding of Jockey A. Sandesh in the said Race, were based exclusively on his riding in the final stages of the race. Further, the gelding was subjected to a veterinary examination immediately after the said Race and was reported to be sound at that time.

In light of the above, the Stewards decided that the material submitted by Jockey A. Sandesh by way of fresh evidence does not constitute fresh evidence in the matter. Accordingly, the request to reopen the case does not fall within the scope of the matter already adjudicated upon. His request is therefore declined and the decision of the Stewards of the Club dated 5th January 2026 stands.
