RACE NO.1(33) - THE CASTLEBRIDGE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - 8
On arrival at the starting gate at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, TALKING POINT (H. M. Akshay) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race.
ASHWA ANKARA (K. Nazil, dr.3) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
MADISON (Neeraj Rawal, dr.8) lost about four lengths at the start. As such, Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race
At the start, ANAIRA (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.6) jumped inwards throwing its head up and made contact with TALKING POINT (H. M. Akshay, dr.5).
Approaching the 150 metres, TALKING POINT (H. M. Akshay) shifted in under the use of whip thereby carrying MAYSARA (A. S. Peter) inwards. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey H. M. Akshay has been fined Rs.2,000/- for persisting with the whip from the left despite his mount shifting in.
After the race, IMPULSIVE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, TALKING POINT was observed to have lost its left hind shoe.
RACE NO.2(34) - THE SYNTHESIS TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - 10
On a request from Trainer P. Shroff, SOLIDARITY was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 11:15 a.m. on 20th December 2025 at the stables and was found to be sore by right fore. As such, the rig was certified unfit to race, was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
On a request from Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha, SASEKA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 12:56 p.m. on 21st December 2025 in the saddling enclosure and was found to have a sore right eye. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
ENSKY (Amyn Merchant) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, ALL FOR LOVE (Yash Narredu, dr.6) jumped inwards and made contact with LARA (Akshay Kumar, dr.5) causing the latter to stumble.
Soon after the start, MIGHTY HERO (App. Ritesh Gochhi) shifted in thereby
tightening and inconveniencing BRAVO ZULU (C. Umesh) causing the latter to
check and drop back. App Ritesh Gochhi has been cautioned.
Approaching the 1000 metres, LUCIO (P. Trevor) shifted out at the same time LARA (Akshay Kumar) leaned in thereby tightening and inconveniencing MIGHTY HERO (App. Ritesh Gochhi) racing between them. After questioning all concerned, Jockeys P. Trevor and Akshay Kumar have been cautioned.
After the race, the V.O. reported the following:
ALL FOR LOVE was observed to have a cut injury on its right hind pastern and lost its left fore shoe.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(35) - THE P. D. AVASIA TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES - 13
TRAIL BLAZER (App. N. Bhosale, dr.5) lost about a length at the start.
ESTEBAN (Neeraj Rawal, dr.11) was observed to have ducked the front gate as the start was effected.
At the start, DESERT CLASSIC (App. Sonu Chouhan, dr.2) jumped outwards at the same time TRAIL BLAZER (App. N. Bhosale, dr.5) jumped inwards onto EASTERN MONARCH (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.4) due to which LIFE IS LIFE (K. Nazil, dr.3) drawn between them was tightened for room and had to be checked.
At the start, ENFORCER (Yash Narredu, dr.10) jumped outwards and went across ESTEBAN (Neeraj Rawal, dr.11) who was marginally slow to begin.
At the start, AR FIRST STAR (R. Manish, dr.6) jumped outwards bumped FLASH MOB (C. Umesh, dr.7) and they made contact.
Passing the 1100 metres, EASTERN MONARCH (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted in due to which DESERT CLASSIC (App. Sonu Chouhan) and SAKANA (H. M. Akshay) were tightened for room and had to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, App. Aditya Waydande has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
An objection was lodged by Jockey Yash Narredu (ENFORCER) placed 2nd by the Judge against App. Aditya Waydande (EASTERN MONARCH) placed 1st by the Judge, reason being, “from 350 metres the winner came shifting onto him and at 200 metres took his ground, where he had to completely stop riding for 50 metres and pull his mount out. If he had not taken his ground, he would have certainly won the race. At no point till the winning post, his horse was tired and was full of running”. The Stewards having heard the submissions made by the Jockey Yash Narredu and Trainer Sanjay Kolse along with his Apprentice Aditya Waydande and having watched the replay of the race from various angels, in conjunction with the Stipendiary Stewards and acting on their own observations of the race, decided that it was accidental and overruled the objection and the order of placing remained unchanged.
After the race, App. Mustakim Alam (MINISTRY OF TIME) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ESTEBAN) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-. Further, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ESTEBAN) was observed to have used the whip in an improper manner on his mount. As such, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, ENFORCER was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(36) - THE BEAUTIFUL STRANGER TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - 9
SINGER SARGENT (C. Umesh, dr.6) lost about three lengths at the start. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, OPUS DEI (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.1) jumped out throwing its head up and had to be steadied.
Approaching the 1200 metres, ULTIMO (R. Ajinkya) racing on the haunches of EARTH (App. Ramswarup) was observed to have clipped the former and stumbled.
Passing the 150 metres, OPUS DEI (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted out despite the riders effort and went across ALPINE STAR (App. Avinash Paswan) causing the latter to be checked. After the race App. Aditya Waydande reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
From the 300 metres, EARTH (App. Ramswarup) was observed to have been inclined outwards. After the race on questioning App. Ramswarup stated that his mount hung out, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey S. Mosin (EMPEROR RODERIC) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, EMPEROR RODERIC was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, EARTH was observed to have an injury on its right hind fetlock and left hind hock.
RACE NO.5(37) - THE FAIZ JASDANWALLA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES - 7
On a request from Trainer P. Shroff, HERMANUS was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 10:15 a.m. on 21st December 2025 at the stables and was found to have fever. As such, the colt was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds.
After being stalled, ZANELE (Vivek G., dr.5) reared up and fell back on the gates, subsequently the filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified her fit to race.
Soon after the start, ADMIRABLE (A. Sandesh) shifted in under urgings and went across LORENZO (Yash Narredu) who was marginally slow to begin. Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
Approaching the 900 metres, INVICTOR (S. Zervan) racing on the haunches of RAMBO (C. Umesh) had to be steadied.
Approaching the 150 metres, INVICTOR (S. Zervan) was observed to have drifted out under pressure. Trainer Altamaash A. Ahmed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
In the final stages, RAMBO (C. Umesh) was observed to have veered out under pressure. As such, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race
RACE NO.6(38) - THE P. D. AVASIA TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES - 13
At the start, SKY FULL OF STARS (S. G. Prasad, dr.7) jumped inwards at the same time STAR EXPRESS (S. A. Amit, dr.6) jumped outwards and they made contact.
Soon after the start, MRIGA (A. S. Peter) shifted out onto HEAVEN’S RHYTHM (Yash Narredu) forcing it outwards onto SKY FULL OF STARS (S. G. Prasad) who was inclined inwards thereafter MAJORELLA BLUE (N. B. Kuldeep) leaned in onto MOJO (App. Ritesh Gochhi) causing the latter to lean in and made contact with SKY FULL OF STARS.
Passing the 700 metrds, MRIGA (A. S. Peter) shifted out and made contact with ADONIS (S. J. Sunil). Jockey A. S. Peter has been cautioned.
Passing the 400 metres, EL MORAN (Antony Raj S.) shifted in at the same time AKITANIA (David Allan) shifted out due to which HEAVEN’S RHYTHM (Yash Narredu) racing between them was tightened for room and had to be checked. After questioning all concerned, Jockey Antony Raj S. has been fined Rs.3,000/- and Jockey David Allan has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Santosh G. (ESCAPE VELOCITY) reported that passing the 400 metres his reins slipped momentarily. Jockey Santosh G. has been cautioned.
Jockey A. S. Peter (MRIGA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, DANCING CLOUD was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.7(39) - THE GRACIAS SALDANHA MEMORIAL MILLION: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES - 10
In the early part of the race, KING KE (Oisin Murphy) was observed to have travelled wide for no apparent reason. Jockey Oisin Murphy has been cautioned.
At the start, BUGATTI (Vivek G., dr.3) jumped and whipped around thereby taking no practical part in the race. As such, Trainer P Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
Passing the 350 metres, KING KE (Oisin Murphy) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing EXUMA (David Allan) causing the latter to be checked thereafter KING KE further shifted in and tightened BLACK THUNDER (T. S. Jodha) causing it to be checked. After the race on questioning, Jockey Oisin Murphy stated that his mount hung-in, despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Approaching the 600 metres, KING KE (Oisin Murphy) leaned inwards thereby tightening and inconveniencing ENDURANCE (Antony Raj S.) along the rails.
In the final stages of the race, TIEPOLO (P. Trevor) leaned inwards thereby tightening KING KE (Oisin Murphy) along the rails. After the race, Jockey P. Trevor reported that his mount hung-in, despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, DOCTOR DOLLY was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, KING KE, EXUMA and TIEPOLO were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.8(40) - THE INDIAN 2000 GUINEAS (GRADE 1): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES - 9
On a request from Trainer Dallas Todywalla, GIACOMO was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 5:00 p.m. on 20th December 2025 at the stables and was found to be sore by left hind. As such, the colt was certified unfit to race, was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
BIG BAY (Yash Narredu, dr.5) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, BIG BAY (Yash Narredu) shifted out onto CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (Mukesh Kumar) who had to be steadied.
Approaching the 1400 metres, ZACHARIAS (Oisin Murphy) shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction due to which CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (Mukesh Kumar) and SOVEREIGN KING (Antony Raj S.) had to be steadied further BAYCHIMO (A. Sandesh) racing along the rails was tightened for room and had to be checked. Jockey Oisin Murphy has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Vivek G. (ROSARIO) reported loss of whip passing the 200 metres. This being his first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, no action has been initiated.
Jockey P. Trevor (NAMIRI) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, ZACHARIAS was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.9(41) - THE GULAMHUSEIN ESSAJI TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES - 12
On the way to the starting gates, Jockey C Umesh (SIMOLA) got kicked by CRONERSTONE (R. Ajinkya) on subsequent examination it was found that he got injured on his knee and therefore was not able to fulfill his riding engagement and hence SIMOLA was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starters order.
On arrival at the starting gates, GIANT GOLD (Antony Raj S.) was observed to have splayed its right fore shoe, as such the filly was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starters order.
After being stalled, SEMURG (Shrikant Kamble, dr.9) was fractious and lashed out at the gates, the filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right hind and was observed to have multiple injuries on its left hind cannon, the filly was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter order and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
At the start, ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS (N. B. Kuldeep, dr.6) jumped outwards and made contact with MAGICAL MOMENTS (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7).
After the race, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe (DONATELLA) reported that his mount refused to raise an effective gallop. On being subjected to veterinary examination the filly was trotted and found to be sound.
After the race, Jockey N. B. Kuldeep (ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, an endoscopy was performed on MAGICAL MOMENTS at the saddling enclosure and was found to have respiratory infection.
After the race, the V.O. reported the following:
ABSOLUTE GORGEOUS was observed to have a gum injury.
DONATELLA was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.10(42) - THE SYNTHESIS TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES - 12
AEON FLUX (App. Bharat Singh, dr.12) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
KEY WEST (N. S. Parmar, dr.6) threw its head, reared up and lost considerable ground at the start. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, WRANGLER (Akshay Kumar, dr.1) jumped outwards and went across DHAHABI (S. G. Prasad, dr.2) who was marginally slow to begin thereafter SAVAGE PEACOCK (Shrikant Kamble, dr.5) shifted in thereby bumping and forcing FAY (T. S. Jodha, dr.4) inwards onto MEADOW SPRINGS (P. Trevor, dr.3) who had to be checked. Jockey Shrikant Kamble has been cautioned,
Approaching the 150 metres, WRANGLER (Akshay Kumar) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing GOLDEN HEART (S. J. Sunil). Jockey Akshay Kumar has been cautioned.
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (SAVAGE PEACOCK) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2025/26, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of BEZALEL (A. Sandesh) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, BEZALEL and KEY WEST were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the MADISON (Winner – 1st race), EASTERN MONARCH (Winner – 3rd race), EARTH (Winner – 4th race), ADMIRABLE (Winner – 5th race), TIEPOLO (Winner – 7th race), BAYCHIMO (Winner – 8th race), SOVEREIGN KING (2nd place – 8th race), NAMIRI (3rd place – 8th race) and AMERICAN EAGLE (Winner – 10th race), and the special samples of ENFORCER (3rd race), ZACHARIAS (8th race) and BEZALEL (10th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “SILVER STRIKE” (ADITYA WAYDANDE) (DRAWN 5) IN RACE NO.19 – THE DR. JAGJIT SINGH TROPHY (DIST. 1200 MTRS.) RUN ON 4TH DECEMBER 2025:
In connection with the captioned subject matter, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 21st December 2025, having heard the submissions made by App. Aditya Waydande, Trainer Faisal A. Abbas and his Master Trainer Shazaan Shah as also the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the video recording of the race in question, noted that App. Aditya Waydande had accepted his mistake and apologized for the error in judgment on his part considering that he had failed to follow his riding instructions and taking into account Trainer Faisal A. Abbas’s dissatisfaction of his riding which cost him a certain race.
The Stewards held App. Aditya Waydande guilty of unsatisfactory riding on his mount “SILVER STRIKE” in the above race and decided to suspend his Apprentice Jockey’s licence for four race days i.e. on 10th, 18th, 21st, & 31st January 2026 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “FYNBOS” (P. TREVOR) (DRAWN 2) IN RACE NO.30 – THE INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GR.1) (DIST. 1600 MTRS.) RUN ON 14TH DECEMBER 2025:
In connection with the captioned subject matter, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 21st December 2025, having heard the submissions made by Jockey P. Trevor and Trainer P. Shroff, as also the Stipendiary Stewards, having viewed the video recording of the race in question and having deliberated in the matter at length, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey P. Trevor. In that he could have sat in a better position in the early part of the race but failed to do so also turning for home the Stewards felt that he was not vigorous in his riding efforts thereby placing his mount at a disadvantage.
The Stewards held Jockey P. Trevor guilty of riding an incompetent race on his mount “FYNBOS” in the above race and decided to suspend his Jockey’s licence for four race days i.e. on 10th, 18th, 21st, & 31st January 2026 (permitted to ride work/mock race) and fined him a sum of Rs.50,000/-
