RACE DAY REPORT

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT.

 

RACE NO.1 (27) – THE R. J. KOLAH TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 3

 

EVALDO (David Allan, dr.2) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

EVALDO (David Allan, dr.2) lost about a length at the start.

 

After the race, CHARLIE was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination EVALDO was observed to have a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.2 (28) – THE M. N. NAZIR TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 4

 

At the start, TREAT (Neeraj Rawal, dr.3) jumped inwards and went across SUBSTANTIAL (A. Sandesh, dr.2) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination EAGLE DAY was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (29) – THE MAHALAKSHMI SPRINT MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

At the start, CHRISTOPHANY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.4) jumped inwards, made contact and went across I’TS MY TIME (Akshay Kumar, dr.3) causing the latter to be steadied.

 

Passing the 500 metres, IRISH GOLD (A. Sandesh) shifted in and went across CHRISTOPHANY (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.

 

In the final stages of the race, CHRISTOPHANY (Neeraj Rawal) leaned out under pressure thereby carrying CONSTABLE (P. Trevor) outwards. Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been cautioned.

 

After the race, IT’S MY TIME was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination CONSTABLE and CHRISTOPHANY were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (30) – THE INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (GRADE 1): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

After being stalled, VEGATHA (R. Ajinkya, dr.6) was fractious and reared up thereby dislodging its rider. As Jockey R. Ajinkya was found to be unhurt he was allowed to remount thereby causing a delay in the start. As such, Trainer P. S. Chouhan has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After being stalled, FYNBOS (P. Trevor, dr.2) was fractious and reared up. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination FYNBOS was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.5 (31) – THE JEHANGIR P. DUBASH TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

After the race on questioning, Jockey S. G. Prasad (MANOR HOUSE) stated that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. As such, Trainer Aman Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race. Due to the above, in the final stages of the race, MANOR HOUSE and ELUSIVE ART were observed to have jostled.

 

After the race, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, an endoscopy was performed on ELUSIVE ART at the saddling enclosure and was found to have guttural pouch infection.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination ELUSIVE ART was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (32) – THE KOREA RACING AUTHORITY TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

 

RED MERLOT (App. Avinash Paswan, dr.12) was fractious in the stall and lost considerable ground as the start was effected. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (K. Nazil, dr.11) jumped out awkwardly and lost about two lengths at the start.

 

Approaching the 1200 metres, BEYOND STARS (S. Mosin) leaned out thereby carrying RED MIST (App. Ramswarup) outwards thereafter passing the 1200 metres RED MIST shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing BEYOND STARS causing the latter to check and change course thereby carrying TAJIRI (C. Umesh) outwards. Jockey S. Mosin and App. Ramswarup have been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey C. Umesh (TAJIRI) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. This being the first outing of the filly, no action has been initiated.

 

After the race, on veterinary examination FINCH was trotted at the stables and was found to be sound.

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the EVALDO (Winner – 1st race), JADE (Winner – 3rd race), KAVYA (Winner – 4th race), FYNBOS (2nd place – 4th race), SOCIAL BUTTERFLY (3rd place – 4th race), FOXY (Winner – 5th race), ASHWA GYPSY (Winner – 6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: MOCK RACE HELD ON 14TH DECEMBER 2025:

 

Trainer Sangramsinh N. Joshi has been fined Rs.1,000/- for not producing the registered Racing Colours in respect of his charge STAR ROMANCE. The horse raced in emergency colours i.e. “ALL BLACK”.
