RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 2 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES THEREAFTER 4 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST.

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

RACE NO.1 (10) – THE BEYOND EXPECTATION PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

At the request of the Stipendiary Stewards, the Sr. V.O. examined FIDATO (Antony Raj S., dr.2) on arrival at the starting gates and was found to be sore by left fore. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter’s order. After the race, Trainer Narendra Lagad lodged a complaint in connection with the withdrawal of his charge, as such, the Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the incident and the same will be placed before the Stewards of the Club for their direction.

 

After being stalled, LION KING (P. Vinod, dr.4) stood in an awkward position and was not allowing its rider to settle and thereby delaying the start, further, he took a fly jump. As such, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

LIGHTNING BLAZE (App. A. Omkar, dr.5) planted and lost considerable ground at the start. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, GOLD CAVIAR (App. Bharat Singh, dr.8) jumped and veered outwards despite the riders efforts. In view of the gelding’s behavior, Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Soon after the start, MIRAE (S. Mosin) shifted in under urgings and went across LION KING (P. Vinod). Jockey S. Mosin has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, NORTHERN SINGER (C. Umesh) shifted in and went across BETWEEN FRIENDS (Prashant P. Dhebe) causing the latter to check and change course thereby inconveniencing LION KING (P. Vinod). Jockey C. Umesh has been cautioned.

 

After the race, GOLD CAVIAR was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the stables and was found to be sore by right fore. As such the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MIRAE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (11) – THE S. K. SUNDERJI SALVER: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 5

 

At the start, CALIPH (P. Trevor, dr.3) jumped inwards and brushed the haunches of GOLDEN GLOW (Yash Narredu, dr.2).

 

After the race, CALIPH was trotted and found to be sound.

 

After the race, MEDUSA was observed to have an injury on right hind fetlock. 

 

RACE NO.3 (12) – THE JSK1 GAMING TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

 

At the start, BEAT THE HEAT (C. Umesh, dr.5) jumped inwards and went across REGAL GALLERIA (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.4) who was marginally slow to begin.

 

Soon after the start, AZURE (Antony Raj S.) veered outwards and went across AEON FLUX (App. Haridas Gore) who had to be checked.  Thereafter, AZURE further shifted out thereby carrying MUSKOKA (A. Sandesh), AR FIRST STAR (A. Prakash) and AMONG THE STARS (Yash Narredu) outwards. In view of the erratic behavior of the filly, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, AR FIRST STAR (A. Prakash) shifted in thereby tightening MUSKOKA (A. Sandesh) and AEON FLUX (App. Haridas Gore). After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey A. Prakash has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 600 metres, AEON FLUX (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in and went across ENSKY (S. J. Sunil) who had to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied  App. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (AMONG THE STARS) reported that his mount hung-in in the final stages of the race, despite his efforts. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, App. N. Bhosale (TRAIL BLAZER) reported that his mount hung-in in the final stages of the race, despite his efforts. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AMONG THE STARS was trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that TRAIL BLAZER had a right eye injury (sore).

 

The Equine Hospital reported that REGAL GALLERIA had both eye injuries (sore).

RACE NO.4 (13) – THE ISMAIL KHAN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 11

 

ALARICUS (C. Umesh, dr.11) planted in the stall thereby taking no practical part in the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

 

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.3) lost about two lengths at the start.

 

At the start, HIGHGROUND (S. J. Sunil, dr.8) jumped inwards and had to be steadied. 

 

At the start, WILD CHILD (N. S. Parmar, dr.9) jumped outwards onto RED DUST (A. Sandesh, dr.10).

 

Soon after the start, YULETIDE (A. Prakash) shifted in thereby bumping BALENO (Bhawani Singh) who had to be checked. Thereafter, approaching the 1200 metres, YULETIDE further shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing EXHALT (Bharat Singh, dr.1) causing the latter to check and drop back due to which SPEAK THE BREED (Antony Raj S.) had to be steadied. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey A. Prakash has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Approaching the 400 metres, BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted in at the same time BALENO (Bhawani Singh) leaned outwards and they made contact. App. Aditya Waydande and Jockey Bhawani Singh have been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (RED DUST) reported that his mount hung-in in the final stages of the race, despite his efforts. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, RED DUST was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (14) – THE J. E. HUGHES TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

At the start, FIGHTON (App. Bharat Singh, dr.3) jumped outwards onto ALPINE STAR (App. Ramswarup, dr.4).

 

After the race, EMPEROR RODERIC was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, RAMBLER was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (15) – THE ATOMIC PRINCE PLATE : (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

 

RED MERLOT (A. Prakash, dr. 5) reared up as the start was effected thereby losing about two lengths at the start.

 

ALPHA GENE (App. N. Bhosale, dr. 9) took a fly jump and lost about a length at the start.

 

Soon after the start, EMPOWER (S. A. Amit) shifted in and went across RED MERLOT (A. Prakash), who was marginally slow to begin.

 

ALPHA GENE (App. N. Bhosale) was observed to have trailed the field. Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the race, MAJESTIC WARRIOR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race 

 

After the race, ALPHA GENE & ARIYANA STAR were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (16) – THE ORANGE FLAME PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 12

 

At the request of the Stipendiary Stewards the Sr. V.O. examined NOSTALGIA (P. Trevor) on arrival at the starting gates, who certified him fit to race.

 

On arrival at the starting gates, at the request of Jockey S. Mosin, ZARAK was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race.

 

At the start, VINCERO (App. Aditya Waydande, dr.9) jumped outwards and went across ESCONIDO (A. Prakash, dr.10) causing the latter to be checked. App. Aditya Waydande has been cautioned.

 

At the start, DOCTOR DOLLY (A. Sandesh, dr.5) jumped outwards and made contact with LOOKING LIKE A WOW (App. Sonu Chouhan, dr.6) who had to be checked.

 

Soon after the start, THE ATHABASCA (K. Pranil) shifted in under urgings thereby bumping and tightening DOCTOR DOLLY (A. Sandesh) who in turn leaned-in onto NOSTALGIA (P. Trevor) thereafter THE ATHABASCA further shifted in and made contact with ZARAK (S. Mosin). After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey K. Pranil has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

 

Passing the 400 metres DOCTOR DOLLY (A. Sandesh) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening CHANDRAYAAN (Neeraj Rawal) causing the latter to check and drop back thereby causing ESCONIDO (A. Prakash) racing on its haunches to check and change course. After questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey A. Sandesh has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Passing the 200 meetres, FLOYD (Yash Narredu) shifted in thereby inconveniencing THE ATHABASCA (K. Pranil). Jockey Yash Narredu has been cautioned.

 

LOOKING LIKE A WOW (App. Sonu Chouhan) was observed to have trailed the field. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.

 

After the race, THE ATHABASCA, LOOKING LIKE A WOW, NOSTALGIA & ZARAK were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd & 5th race, viz. BETWEEN FRIENDS, ULTIMO & DIVINE STAR and the special samples of MAJESTIC WARRIOR (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: MORNING TRACKWORK HELD ON 20TH JULY 2025.

 

MAGNETO was scoped at the Equine Hospital after morning track work on 20th July and was found to gave Grade III EIPH and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. As such, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

RE: SUSPENSION OF MR. ADHIRAJSINGH JODHA’S TRAINER’S LICENCE – ENQUIRY INTO THE POSITIVE FINDINGS OF “CAPSAICIN” IN THE URINE SAMPLE OF CH. M. “FIERY RED” RUN ON 12TH DECEMBER 2024 AT THE ROYAL CALCUTTA TURF CLUB.

 

In connection with the captioned subject matter, the Stewards of the Club via Circular Resolution dated 21st July 2025, decided to reciprocate the punishment and disabilities imposed on Mr. Adhirajsingh Jodha by the Stewards of the Royal Calcutta Turf Club.

 

As such, his Trainer’s licence will remain suspended with effect from Tuesday, 29th July 2025 upto and including Friday, 26th September 2025 and the disabilities imposed by the Royal Calcutta Turf Club would stand.

In connection with the captioned subject matter, Trainer's Licence of Mr. P. Shroff shall stand suspended for a period of 15 days i.e. w.e.f. 18th July 2025 to 1st August 2025 (both days inclusive) and the fine of Rs.10,000/- shall stand.

 

During the period of his suspension all disabilities mentioned under the Medication Rules shall apply.
