ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “MOONLIGHT KISS” (DRAWN-12) IN RACE NO.170 - THE RACING OFFICIALS TROPHY DIV-II RUN ON 30TH MARCH 2025.
In connection with the captioned subject matter the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 5th April 2025, having heard the submissions made by App. Mustakim Alam and Trainer Narendra Lagad, as also the Stipendiary Stewards and reviewing the video footage of the race in question, the Stewards having deliberated extensively on the matter noted that upon entering the straight, he failed to get into his mount despite a clear passage, and in the final furlong, he did not ride out. As a result, he failed to take all reasonable and permissible measures to secure the best possible placing in the race which could amount to not permitting his mount to run on its merits.
However, considering his past record, and that the mare was at longer odds, keeping in mind his admission of guilt, the Stewards gave him the benefit of doubt for not permitting his mount to run on its merits, instead held him guilty of riding an unsatisfactory race and decided to suspend his Jockeys licence for a period covering 15 race days i.e. Should he apply for grant of a Jockey's licence for the racing season 2025/26, and the same is granted to him, it shall stand suspended from the first day of the Pune Meeting 2025 upto and including a period covering 15 race days.
