RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT THEIR ORIGINAL POINT.
On a request from Trainer S.S. Shah, permission was granted to Trainer M.K Jadhav to saddle his charges TROPICAL PARADISE in the 2nd race, BETWEEN FRIENDS & GOLDEN RULE in the 6th race, at his own (Trainer S.S. Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (137) – THE T. M. GOCULDAS PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
At the start, HOUSE OF LORDS (App. Sonu Chouhan, dr. 2) jumped inwards at the same time ARIES (D.R. Shubham, dr. 1) jumped outwards and they made contact.
GODDES OF DAWN (T. S. Jodha, dr. 7) tried to duck the front gates as the start was affected. As such, the filly lost about a length at the start.
It was observed that ARIES (D. R. Shubham) was inclined outwards in the straight under the use of whip. Jockey D.R Shubham has been cautioned.
After the race, GODDES OF DAWN & FLASHING FAMOUS were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2 (138) – THE SIR CHARLES FORBES TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
HER CHARGE (Bhawani Singh, dr. 9) lost about a length at the start.
Approaching the 200 meters, TYRANNUS (Antony Raj. S.) shifted out thereby carrying out ABHYANKAR (Neeraj Rawal) who further shifted out and made contact with CARADOC (A. Sandesh).
After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (HER CHARGE) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures and inform the Stipendiary Stewards before, next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Antony Raj S. (TYRANNUS) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (ABHYANKAR) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (CARADOC) reported that his mount was running green in the straight.
After the Race ABHYANKAR and HER CHARGE were trotted and found to be sound but were found to have wolf teeth on the left side of the mouth.
RACE NO.3 (139) – THE A. F. S. TALYARKHAN SALVER: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
It was observed that RAFAEL came in the paddock sporting a “D Bit” for which permission had not been obtained. As such, Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been fined Rs 1000/- for his lapse.
BEAT THE HEAT (App. N. Bhosale, dr. 5) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer H. J. Antia has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
WINGS OF FURY (Shrikant Kamble, dr. 3) took an awkward jump.
AZALEA (J. Chinoy, dr. 8) lost about a length at the start
At the start, FOURTH WING (P. Trevor, dr. 7) jumped inwards onto RAFAEL (C. S. Jodha, dr. 6) and tightened the field on his inside.
At the start, BEE MAGICAL (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 9) jumped inwards and went across AZALEA (J. Chinoy, dr. 8), who was marginally slow to begin.
Passing the 100 metres OURENSE (A. Sandesh) was observed to have suddenly shifted out. After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh reported that his mount was running green in the straight.
After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (BEE MAGICAL) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (WINGS OF FURY) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the the prescribed limit on his mount and also used the same in an improper manner, the Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the Race OURENSE was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4 (140) – THE R. N. KANGA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 5
RASPUTIN (Antony Raj S., dr. 3) lost about a length at the start.
Jockey N. S. Parmar (MOJITO) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. After the race, Jockey N.S Parmar reported that his mount hung-out in the straight. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the Race COEUR DE LION was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5 (141) – THE EDGAR DESYLVA SALVER: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
WHATSINANAME (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 1) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Asad Siddiqui has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, FABLE (App. Bharat Singh, dr. 4) jumped outwards momentarily and made contact with EKLA CHOLO (Amyn Merchant, dr. 5).
At the start, MEDUSA (A. Sandesh dr. 7) shifted in and went a cross SLIVER STRIKE (Haridas Gore, dr. 6). After questioning and not being satisfied Jockey A. Sandesh has been fined Rs.3,000/-
After the race, BAKLAVA found to have an injury on Left Hind Fetlock.
RACE NO.6 (142) – THE NARAYANDAS J. DAVE PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS – 8
At the request of Trainer Narendra Lagad, PRINCE IGOR was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 9.20 a.m. on 4th March 2025, at the stables and was found to be sore by left hind, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
LION KING (P. Trevor, dr. 5) took a fly jump and lost about 2 lengths at the start. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
TYRONE BLACK (App. Sonu Chouhan, dr. 3) lost about a length at the start.
ZIP ALONG (Mustakim Alam, dr.1) took a fly jump.
Soon after the start BETWEEN FRIENDS (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr. 8) shifted in under urgings thereby inconveniencing SUSSING (App. Haridas Gore, dr. 6) who had to be checked. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been cautioned.
Passing the 100 meters, BETWEEN FRIENDS (Prashant P. Dhebe) leaned inwards onto SORRENTO SECRET (A. Prakash) racing on its inside.
After the race, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe (BETWEEN FRIENDS) reported that his mount hung in- in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer S. S. Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the Race TYRONE BLACK was checked and was found to be sore from left fore fetlock. As such the gelding has to be passed fit by the Clubs V.O., before next accepting to race.

The urine and blood samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th race, viz. CREDENCE, ZACHARIAS, FOURTH WING & GOLDEN KINGDOM, were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: “ATTAINED” PLANTING IN THE STALL IN RACE NO 134. THE P.A. D’AVOINE TROPHY 1200 MTRS ON 26TH FEBRUARY 2025
After the running of race Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy expressed her displeasure to the Stipendiary Stewards regarding the loading pattern of the horses in Race No 106 wherein her charge ATTAINED planted in the stall thereby taking no practical part in the Race, she was informed that the Stipendiary Stewards would be looking into the same.
After reviewing the race in question the next day, watching the back view of the loading along with the Starter and taking all the circumstances into consideration. It is evident that the horse was stalled in accordance to the laid down procedures for loading which is on the basis of the draw numbers allotted to horses but due to unforeseen/unavoidable circumstances that occurred at the starting gates there was a delay in the process. As such, you are requested to give your charge more gate practice and show your charge to the satisfaction of the Starter before next accepting to race.

RE: RE: ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “ANGELO” (DRAWN 3) RUN IN RACE NO .118 THE AHMED I RAHIMTOOLA TROPHY (1600 MTRS) RUN ON 20TH FEBRUARY 2025 .
We refer to the meeting Jockey Vivek G. had with the Stipendiary Stewards on 4TH March 2025 with reference to the captioned subject matter.
In this connection, we write to confirm the decision of the Stipendiary Stewards conveyed to him, that having heard him and Trainer P. Shroff and having viewed the video recording of the race in question as also the previous runs of the horse. The Stipendiary Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by him and held him guilty of riding an injudicious race. In that, the amount of ground he lost due to his horse hanging out and then in under the use of the whip is the difference between him winning and losing the race. Therefore, the Stipendiary Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license for one Race Day i.e. 30th March 2025 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

RE: YOUR APPEAL AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS FOR DEPRIVING YOU THE USE OF WHIP IN RACES WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT TILL THE END OF THE MUMBAI MEETING 2024/25 FOR YOUR RIDE ON "CIRCLE OF DREAMS" IN RACE NO. 127 THE POONAWALLA BREEDERS MULTI-MILLION (GR.1) RUN ON 23rd FEBRUARY 2025 DURING THE MUMBAI MEETING 2024/25:
Jockey Akshay Kumar vide his e mail dated 25th February 2025 had appealed against the decision of the Stipendiary Stewards depriving him the use of whip until the end of the Mumbai Meeting 2024-25 as he had used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount CIRCLE OF DREAMS run in Race No. 127 the Poonawalla Breeders Multi Million (GR I) on 23rd February 2025.
The Stewards of the Club have decided stay the punishment imposed upon him until the matter is heard and disposed.

RE: JOCKEY S. ZERVAN FAILING TO FULFILL HIS RIDING ENGAGEMENTS
We refer to the meeting Jockey S. Zervan had with the Stipendiary Stewards with reference to the above captioned subject matter on 6th March 2025.
In this connection, we write to confirm the decision taken by the Stipendiary Stewards conveyed to him that having heard him and not being satisfied by the explanation tendered by him.
The Stipendiary Stewards have decided to fine him Rs 10,000/- for not being able to fulfill his riding engagements.
