RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT 3 METRES FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 4 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 9 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 11 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.
FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1400 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 7 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
RACE NO.1 (38) – THE SAMUEL NATHAN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
At the start, SWAROVSKI (App. Bharat Singh, dr.6) jumped inwards and went across DAIANNE (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) who was marginally slow to begin and had to be steadied.
At the start, MADISON (R. Ajinkya, dr.1) jumped outwards at the same time THE FLUTIST (C. S. Jodha, dr.3) jumped inwards due to which RED DUST (Amyn Merchant, dr.2) drawn between them was tightened for room and had to be steadied.
After the race, MADISON was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, MADISON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, SWAROVSKI was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2 (39) – THE TOPSPIN PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
STAR PRIDE (Bhawani Singh, dr.2) reared up after being stalled and put his legs in the adjacent stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
STAR PRIDE (Bhawani Singh, dr.2) lost about a length at the start.
At the start, AMONG THE STARS (Yash Narredu, dr.6) jumped inwards and made contact with TOUCH OF MYSTIC (Akshay Kumar, dr.5).
At the start, NEPTUNE (A. Sandesh, dr.4) jumped inwards and made contact with BETWEEN LANDS (S. J. Sunil, dr.3).
Passing the 600 metres, EASTERN MONARCH (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing NEPTUNE (A. Sandesh) racing along the rails who had to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, Jockey S. J. Sunil (BETWEEN LANDS) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts.
After the race, STAR PRIDE & BETWEEN LANDS were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3 (40) – THE WORLD'S OLDEST BARBERSHOP TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
CAREGIVER (K. Nazil, dr.6) lost about a length at the start.
At the start, COLLATERAL (S. G. Prasad, dr.8) jumped inwards and went across GOLDEN GOOSE (App. N. Bhosale, dr.7) who was marginally slow to begin and had to be steadied.
Soon after the start, OH KAY (Amyn Merchant) shifted out at the same time QUICKER (App. Aditya Waydande) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing MOUNT SINAI (Nirmal Jodha) and ZENDAYA (A. Sandesh) who were marginally slow to begin causing both the horses to be steadied. Jockey Amyn merchant has been cautioned.
Approaching the 200 metres, TRILLIONAIRE (App. S. Saba) shifted out under urgings and went across ZENDAYA (A. Sandesh) racing on its haunches causing the latter to check and change course as a result forcing ARBITRAGE (App. Haridas Gore) inwards onto SPIRIT BAY (App. S. Siddharth). After questioning and not being satisfied, App. S. Saba has been fined Rs.2,000/- and Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
It was observed that GOLDEN GOOSE (App. N. Bhosale) drifted out in the straight and finished the race on the outer portion of the track. After the race on questioning, App. N. Bhosale (GOLDEN GOOSE) stated that his mount drifted out in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
It was observed that MOUNT SINAI (Nirmal Jodha) trailed the field for major part of the race. Trainer Himmat Singh has been asked to ensure that his charge puts up a reasonable performance in the future.
After the race, App. Aditya Waydande (QUICKER) reported that approaching the 300 metres his reins slipped momentarily. App. Aditya Waydande has been asked to be more careful in the future.
The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into the running and riding of ZENDAYA (A. Sandesh) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, QUICKER was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, COLLATERAL was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, COLLATERAL was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, ZENDAYA, MOUNT SINAI & GOLDEN GOOSE were trotted and found to be sound. TRILLIONAIRE was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4 (41) – THE BEHRAM A. ENGINEER SALVER: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
At the start, ESPERANZA (P. Vinod, dr.7) was observed to have leaned inwards and bumped CONSTABLE (P. Trevor, dr.6) who in turn made contact with LORD VADER (Bhawani Singh, dr.5) who had jumped outwards, due to this incident Jockey P. Vinod (ESPERANZA) was unbalanced and got dislodged. After the race on questioning, Jockey P. Vinod stated that his mount was restless in the stall and at the start he lost his left rein due to which he was unbalanced completely and got dislodged.
After the race, APEROL was observed to have a gum injury. STAR ROMANCE was observed to have an injury on right hind cannon.
RACE NO.5 (42) – THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 5
After the race, COEUR DE LION was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, CHRISTOPHANY was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.6 (43) – THE WORLD'S OLDEST BARBERSHOP TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
While coming to the starting gate, MOJO (Amyn Merchant) was observed to have a gum injury, as such, the mare was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified her fit to race.
At the start, CHELSEA (R. Ajinkya, dr.1) leaned outwards onto CREDENCE (App. S. Siddharth, dr.2) who in turn shifted out and went across GYPSY SOUL (Santosh G., dr.3) who was marginally slow to begin. Jockey R. Ajinkya has been cautioned.
It was observed that the saddle used on CREDENCE (App. S. Siddharth) shifted behind. This being the first instance of faulty saddling during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, Trainer Shazaan Shah has been fined Rs.2,000/-
After the race, App. S. Siddharth (CREDENCE) reported that his mount hung-out in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, MAYSARA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.7 (44) – THE D. W. REID PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
On arrival at the starting gate AWAY SHE GOES was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified her fit to race.
After the race, CUBAN PETE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, AWAY SHE GOES was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd, 5th & 7th race, viz. RED DUST, DEMOCRACY & DAULAT MAI and the special samples of ZENDAYA (3rd race), CELLINI (5th race) & MAYSARA (6th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: RACE NO.31 THE K. M. MUNSHI TROPHY: RUN ON 22ND DECEMBER 2024:
It was observed that Jockey Akshay Kumar (PORTOFINO BAY) dropped his hands just before passing the winning post. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Akshay Kumar has been fined Rs.3000/-.

It was observed that the saddle used on BRAVE BEAUTY (Shahrukh Khan) shifted to the left side during the mock race. This being the first instance of faulty saddling during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, Trainer Hosidar Daji has been fined Rs.2,000/-
