RACE NO.1 (22) – THE FOREST FLAME TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
At the start, ULTIMO (S. A. Amit, dr.1) jumped out awkwardly.
At the start, FAST APPROACH (Akshay Kumar, dr.8) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
At the start, GYPSY SOUL (Santosh G., dr.5) jumped outwards onto TURN AND BURN (N. S. Parmar, dr.6) who in turn shifted out and made contact with HOUSE OF LORDS (A. Prakash, dr.7).
Approaching the 800 metres, due to a tightly packed field, ULTIMO (S. A. Amit) had to be steadied.
Jockey Santosh G. (GYPSY SOUL) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, FAST APPROACH was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have a gum injury.
RACE NO.2 (23) – THE KOREA RACING AUTHORITY TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 13
At the request of Trainer Shazaan Shah, LION KING was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at 06:45 p.m. on 13th December 2024, at the stables and was found to have colic, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
NELSON RIVER (S. A. Amit, dr.6) lost about two lengths at the start.
SANDS OF DUBAI (Nirmal Jodha, dr.11) lost about a length at the start.
Approaching the 1200 metres, BEYOND STARS (A. Prakash) leaned inwards thereby tightening GHIRARDELLI (C. S. Jodha) who had to be steadied. Jockey A. Prakash has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Amyn Merchant (MAJOR SAAB) reported that his mount was inclined inwards in the straight more so under pressure. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, CORDELIA, MAJOR SAAB & NELSON RIVER were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3 (24) – THE M. N. NAZIR TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
After the race, ANGELO & TIEPOLO were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4 (25) – THE MAHALAKSHMI SPRINT MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
BABY BAZOOKA (A. Sandesh, dr.8) lost about two lengths at the start.
After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (JOAQUIN) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Jockey Akshay Kumar (SNOWFALL) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (MISS AMERICAN PIE) reported loss of whip approaching the 50 metres. This being the first instance during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, no action has been initiated.
After the race, Jockey R. Ajinkya (DREAM SELLER) reported that approaching the 300 metres he lost his reins momentarily. Jockey R. Ajinkya has been asked to be more careful in the future.
After the race, MISS AMERICAN PIE & JOAQUIN were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5 (26) – THE SATINELLO TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 13
After being stalled, ZAFFERANO (P. Trevor, dr.1) reared up and put his fore legs in the adjacent stall, hence, the colt was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified him fit to race.
OLIVER (Vivek G., dr.2) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, CHALLENGE ACCEPTED (Y. S. Srinath, dr.8) jumped inwards and made contact with BEZALEL (A. Sandesh, dr.7) thereafter SURREALIST (K. Nazil, dr.6) leaned outwards onto BEZALEL at the same time SOVEREIGN KING (C. S. Jodha, dr.9) shifted in due to which CHALLENGE ACCEPTED and BEZALEL were tightened and had to be checked.
Approaching the 300 metres, VICTORIOUS OMEN (A. Prakash) shifted out and went across OLIVER (Vivek G.) causing the latter to check and change course. Jockey A. Prakash has been cautioned.
Passing the 300 metres, GIANT GOLD (Antony Raj S.) weakened, dropped back and leaned outwards thereby inconveniencing GOLDEN DANCER (Akshay Kumar) who had to check and change course. Jockey Antony Raj S. has been cautioned.
After the race, ZAFFERANO was trotted and found to be sound.
After the race, SOVEREIGN KING was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have a gum injury and a wolf tooth on left side. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures.
After the race, HEART was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have a wolf tooth on both the sides. Trainer Deepesh Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures.
RACE NO.6 (27) – THE JSK1 INDIAN 1000 GUINEAS (Grade 1): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 15
EMPHATIC (R. Ajinkya, dr.15) lost about a length at the start.
COME SEPTEMBER (C. S. Jodha, dr.10) threw its head up thereby losing two lengths at the start.
At the start, PYRITE (A. Prakash dr.14) stumbled and had to be steadied.
Passing the 600 metres, GOLDEN GLORY (S. A. Amit) weakened along the rails and dropped back due to which JADE (C. Umesh) racing on its haunches had to check and change course resulting in bumping and tightening THALASSA (A. Sandesh) who had to be checked thereby carrying STAR OF NIGHT (Antony Raj S.) outwards.
After the race, it was observed that the saddle used on GOLDEN GLORY (S. A. Amit) had slipped back during the race. This being the first instance of faulty saddling during the current Mumbai Meeting 2024/25, Trainer S. Narredu has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, GOLDEN GLORY was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have a gum injury and an injury on left hind below stifle.
The Equine Hospital reported that JADE had a left eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.7 (28) – THE KOREA RACING AUTHORITY TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 11
At the starting gate, Jockey Yash Narredu (QUICKER) reported that his Saddle’s tree had broken, as such, QUICKER was permitted to be withdrawn before coming under the Starters order.
After being stalled, RHYTHYM OF NATURE (App. S. Siddharth, dr.2) reared up and flipped over in the gates, in the process the bridle broke. Subsequently, the mare was pulled out and examined by the Club’s Sr. VO and was found to have sustained multiple injuries on her left hind tendon, as such, the mare was withdrawn before coming under the Starters order. Trainer S. S. Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (MEDUSA) reported that his mount was running green in the straight. This being the first run of the filly, no action has been initiated.
After the race, Jockey A. Prakash (ESCONIDO) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, THE MILENIUM FORCE was trotted and found to be sound. MEDUSA was observed to have an injury on right hind fetlock.
RACE NO.8 (29) – THE GIFT OF GRACE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
CALIPH (A. Sandesh, dr.4) jumped outwards and made contact with LEO THE LION (A. Prakash, dr.5).
WILLY WONKAA (Bhawani Singh, dr.7) lost about a length at the start.
After the race, MARLBORO MAN & TOOFAAN were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 2nd & 8th race, viz. TURN AND BURN, ARDAKAN & CALIPH, were collected for detection of prohibited substances.
The urine and blood samples of the MAGILETO (Winner - 4th race), PSYCHIC STAR (Winner – 6th race), FIELD OF DREAMS (2nd place – 6th race) & STAR OF NIGHT (3rd place – 6th race), was collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE: MORNING TRACKWORK HELD ON 12TH DECEMBER 2024:
JENDAYI was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not permitted to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

RE: DROPPING OF HANDS BY JOCKEY A. PRAKASH ON HIS MOUNT “SORRENTO SECRET” (DRAWN 6) IN RACE NO.1 RUN ON 24TH NOVEMBER 2024 THEREBY LOSING A CERTAIN 3RD PLACE:
Vide e-mail dated 9th December 2024 from Trainer S. Waheed and email dated 12th December 2024 from Jockey A. Prakash, on the above subject.
It has been noted that Jockey A. Prakash has a confirmed ride on PYRITE in the 1000 Guineas (Gr.1) on 15th December 2024, and had requested for deferment of his punishment.
In view of the above, the revised suspension dates of his Jockey’s licence shall be Sunday, 22nd and Friday, 27th December 2024 (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, in the event should he fail to fulfill his riding engagement in the 1000 Guineas (Gr.1), he may not be permitted to ride in any other race on that day. No further deferment can be sought.

Vide e-mail dated 5th December 2024 from Jockey C. Umesh, he informed this office that he has a riding engagement on “JADE” in the 1000 Guineas (Gr.I) on 15th December 2024 and had requested for deferment of his punishment.
In view of the above, the revised suspension dates of his Jockey’s licence shall be Sunday, 22nd & Friday, 27th December 2024 (permitted to ride work/mock race). Further, in the event should he fail to fulfill his riding engagement in the 1000 Guineas (Gr.I), he may not be permitted to ride in any other race on that day. No further deferment can be sought.

RE: APPEAL BY JOCKEY T. S. JODHA AGAINST THE DECISION OF THE STEWARDS OF THE DELHI RACE CLUB TO SUSPEND HIS JOCKEYS LICENCE W.E.F. 30TH NOVEMBER 2024 TO 7TH JANUARY 2025 FOR UNSATISFACTORY RIDING – ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “CHIEFTAIN” IN RACE NO.53 – THE SUPERVITE PLATE – RUN ON TUESDAY, 12TH NOVEMBER 2024.
In connection with the above subject, the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 15th December 2024, having heard Jockey T. S. Jodha, his spokesperson Mr. P. Trevor and Trainer S. Nawab, and having viewed the video recording of the race in question as also Race no.29, the Stewards decided to allow his appeal and to rescind the punishment imposed on him by the Stewards of the Delhi Race Club to suspend his Jockeys licence w.e.f 30th November 2024 to 7th January 2025.
