RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2400 METRES TO 2000 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE FROM 1800 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES. THEREAFTER, RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED AT 5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer L. V. R. Deshmukh, permission was granted to Trainer Vinesh to saddle his charge HIGH COMMAND in the 5th race, at his own (Trainer L. V. R. Deshmukh) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (88) – THE PROTEGE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy has been fined Rs.1,000/- for accepting with her charge PRECIOSO in two races on the same day. As per the General Conditions published in the Prospectus, the filly was struck out from this race.
On arrival at the starting gate, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, AWAY SHE GOES was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., who certified the mare fit to race.
At the start, RED DUST (A. Sandesh, dr. 3) jumped outwards onto RUBIK STAR (Bhawani Singh, dr.4) who had to be steadied.
After the race, TYRONE BLACK was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, AWAY SHE GOES was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
The Equine Hospital reported that THE FLUTIST had left eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE NO.2 (89) – THE AMAZING GRACE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
KIMIKO (A. Sandesh, dr.6) lost about a length at the start.
Approaching the 500 metres, INQUILAB (Antony Raj S.) shifted out under urgings thereby carrying KIMIKO (A. Sandesh) outwards, thereafter, passing the 300 metres, INQUILAB once again shifted out under the use of whip thereby bumping and carrying KIMIKO outwards. It was pointed out to Jockey Antony Raj S that he had persisted with the use of the whip in spite of him being aware that his mount was shifting out, hence, Jockey Antony Raj S. has been fined Rs.3,000/- for the above interference.
After the race, MANSA MUSA & HIGHGROUND were trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that ALEXANDROS had right eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE NO.3 (90) – THE CAPRISCA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 12
The Sr. V.O. reported that MRIGA did not complete the recommended withdrawal period for Phenylbutazone Injection. As such, the filly was struck out at the acceptance stage and Trainer B. Prithviraj has been fined Rs.5,000/- for the lapse.
CONNEXION (S. J. Sunil, dr.5) was reluctant and reared up in the stall. As such, the gelding was taken out and was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O., and was found to have a gum injury, however, the gelding was certified fit to race by the Sr. V.O. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
At the start, it was observed that CONNEXION jumped out with the blindfold on and the same came off after a few strides. After the race, on questioning the Starter, he informed us that the gelding in his remark had blindfold on till end and was fractious in the stall. The handler had tried to remove the blindfold in his first attempt but the same did not come off as it slipped from his hand and in his second attempt he managed to remove it partially. The Starter and the respective handler have been asked to be more cautious in the future.
Approaching the 500 metres, CACHE (Vivek G.) shifted out thereby bumping and taking the ground of DESERT CLASSIC (Vinod Shinde), thereafter, Passing the 350 metres, CACHE shifted in under urgings causing TIMELESS VISION (A.Sandesh) to lean inwards onto RUNNING STAR (Suraj Narredu) who was tightened for room and had to be checked resulting in SAIFA (K. Nazil) racing on its haunches to stop riding, check his mount and change course. SILVER BRAID (C. Umesh) was also inconvenienced due to this incident. On questioning, Jockey Vivek G. stated that his mount was timid and shied away from the other horses despite his efforts. Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered, Jockey Vivek G. has been fined Rs.5,000/- for both incidents.
After the race, STAR IMPACT was trotted and found to be sound. CACHE was observed to have an injury on right hind bulb of heel. CELESTINA was observed to have an injury on left fore cannon. CONNEXION was observed to have lost its right hind shoe.
RACE NO.4 (91) – THE AN ACQUIRED TASTE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS- 8
On arrival at the starting gate, FORTUNATE SON (Prashant P. Dhebe) was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the starting gate and who certified him fit to race.
After the race, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe (FORTUNATE SON) reported that passing the 200 metres his reins slipped momentarily.
After the race, Jockey Vivek G. (ZUCCARO) reported that his mount was hanging–in in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, BREAK POINT was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the stables and was found to be sore by left fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, FORTUNATE SON was trotted and found to be sound. STAR ROMANCE was observed to have an injury on right fore fetlock and cannon.
The Equine Hospital reported that DREAM ALLIANCE had both eye injuries, left eye (sore), both eyes (ulcer) and TREASURE GOLD had a left eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.5 (92) – THE HPSL INDIAN ST. LEGER (Grade 1): (ABOUT) 2800 METRES – RUNNERS - 9
JULIUS (Bhawani Singh, dr.8) lost about a length at the start.
Approaching the 1800 metres, LIONEL (Anthony Raj S.) lost its footing and had to be steadied.
Passing the 1800 metres, MADAM RICH (R. Ajinkya) drifted out to the extreme outside and raced there despite the rider’s efforts. Trainer B. Prithviraj has been asked to show the filly in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (JAMARI) reported that he was held up for room until approaching the 200 metres.
After the race, while returning JULIUS collapsed near the 2200 metres. Accordingly, the first aid treatment was given but the gelding did not respond to the treatment given and passed away on the track.
After the race, LIONEL was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, JAMARI & MADAM RICH were trotted and found to be sound. EXUMA was observed to have an injury on left fore pastern.
The Equine Hospital reported that JAMARI had left eye injury with ulcer. EATON SQUARE had right eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE NO.6 (93) – MAYOR BABURAO SANAS MEMORIAL TROPHY POWERED BY SRS GROUP: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
POPULAIRE (H. M. Akshay, dr.9) was reluctant while being stalled. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.
EQUALIZER (S. A. Amit, dr.7) lost about a length at the start.
POPULAIRE (H. M. Akshay, dr.9) lost about two lengths at the start.
EKLA CHOLO (Amyn Merchant, dr.10) threw its head up at the start and had to be steadied.
At the start, CHELSEA (R. Ajinkya, dr.5) jumped outwards onto GYPSY SOUL (Santosh G., dr.6) and had to be steadied.
Passing the 700 metres, SAMSON (Vishal N. Bunde) shifted out and bumped EKLA CHOLO (Amyn Merchant). After questioning and not being satisfied with his explanation, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde has been fined Rs.2,000/-
After the race, App. Haridas Gore (PURPLE MARTINI) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
After the race, EKLA CHOLO & CHELSEA were trotted and found to be sound. EQUALIZER was observed to have an injury on right hock. PURPLE MARTINI was observed to have an injury on right hind pastern.
RACE NO.7 (94) – THE NOBLE PRINCE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
PRECIOSO (Vinod Shinde, dr.6) lost about a length at the start.
Passing the 250 metres, OPERATION FINALE (S. G. Prasad) shifted in due to which BETWEEN FRIENDS (P. Vinod) racing along the rails was tightened for room, had to check and change course. After questioning and not being satisfied with his explanation, Jockey S. G. Prasad has been Rs.1,000/-.
After the race, ATOMIC ANGEL was trotted and found to be sound. UNTITLED was trotted at the stables and was found to be sound.

RE: MORNING TRACKWORK HELD ON 21ST SEPTEMBER 2024.
EQUILATERAL was scoped at the Equine Hospital and was observed to have EIPH (Gr. III) (2nd time) the filly is not to race for the stipulated ban period of eight weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
RE: RACE NO.87 THE MAUNA KEA PLATE RUN ON 15TH SEPTEMBER 2024:
The Sr. V.O. reported that THRILL OF BRAZIL was scoped by a private V.O. and was found to have EIPH (Grade II).
The Sr. V.O. reported that KINGS LOVE was scoped by a private V.O. and was found to have EIPH (Grade II).
