METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES. THEREAFTER 6 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST.
RAILS WERE PLACED 4 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

On a request from Trainer S. S. Attaollahi,
permission was granted to Trainer P. Shroff to
saddle his charge DON CARLOS in the 5th race, at his own
(Trainer S. S. Attaollahi’s) risk and
responsibility.
RACE NO.1 (81) – THE MYSTIC TOUCH PLATE: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
The Sr. V.O. reported
that PRECIOSO did not complete the recommended withdrawal period for Phenylbutazone Injection. As such, the gelding was struck
out at the acceptance stage and Trainer Nazzak B. Chenoy has been fined Rs.5,000/-
for the lapse.
At the behest of the Stipendiary
Stewards, MILLI (Vishal N. Bunde)
was examined at the starting gate and was certified fit to race.
SIM SIM (K. Nazil,
dr.5) took an awkward fly jump and veered out thereby losing considerable
ground at the start. Trainer Faisal A. Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and
show the mare to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials,
before next accepting to race.
After the race, MILLI & OTELLO were trotted and found to be sound
and PRINCE IGOR was observed to have an injury on left fore
coronet.
The Equine Hospital reported that SIM SIM
had left eye injury (sore) with ulcer.
RACE NO.2 (82) – THE
EXCELLENT TROPHY:
(ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 4
At the start, BUBBLY BOY (App. N. Bhosale, dr.1) jumped outwards and made contact with IRISH
GOLD (Akshay Kumar, dr.2).
Passing the 350 metres,
IRISH GOLD (Akshay Kumar) leaned inwards onto CELLINI
(Antony Raj S.) who in turn shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing
BUBBLY BOY (App. N. Bhosale) racing along the rails
who had to check and change course. Jockey Akshay
Kumar has been cautioned.
After the race, IRISH GOLD & BUBBLY
BOY were trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that CELLINI had right eye injury
(sore).
RACE NO.3 (83) – THE SERUM INSTITUTE OF INDIA
TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2400 METRES –
RUNNERS - 8
MULTIVERSE (A. Sandesh, dr.1) threw its head up and had to be steadied at
the start.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh
(MULTIVERSE) reported that he was held up for room until approaching the 300 metres.
After the race, MULTIVERSE was trotted and found
to be sound.
After the race, MURWARA PRINCESS was observed to
be in mild distress and was found to have an injury on left hind pastern.
RACE NO.4 (84) – THE VILLOO C. POONAWALLA MILLION: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES –RUNNERS- 9
WIND DANCER (Akshay Kumar, dr.4) was reluctant
to be stalled. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been
asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly in a mock race
to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next
accepting to race.
At the start, ESCONIDO (S. Saqlain, dr.8) jumped out awkwardly threw its head up
thereafter veered out and had to be steadied.
At the start, FABLE (A. Sandesh, dr.9) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
Passing the 200 metres,
FABLE (A. Sandesh) shifted in under urgings thereby
tightening and inconveniencing KNIGHT CRUSADAR (Antony Raj S.) causing the
latter to be checked. Jockey A. Sandesh has been
fined Rs.2,000/-.
It was observed that CREDENCE (P. Vinod) drifted out under use of the whip in the straight.
After questioning, Jockey P. Vinod has been
cautioned.
After the race, ESCONIDO, FABLE &
WIND DANCER were trotted and found to be sound and KNIGHT CRUSADER was observed
to have an injury on left hind fetlock.
The Equine Hospital reported that AFFLUENCE had
left eye injury (sore) with ulcer, ASHWA KANGTO had right eye injury with ulcer
and ESCONIDO had right eye injury with ulcer.
RACE NO.5 (85) – THE S. A. POONAWALLA MILLION (Grade 3): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS – 10
Trainer Prasanna Kumar P. had submitted an email on 11th September 2024,
requesting to withdraw his charge, MASATO, from the race. He stated that he had
forgotten to scratch the gelding. In a follow-up email dated 12th September
2024, he explained that the gelding arrived to Pune
on 3rd September 2024, was not on regular work and hence was not fit to race.
In the meantime, the gelding was subjected to Veterinary examination, which
revealed no abnormalities. The Trainer was informed of this, and with his
consent, the gelding was sampled.
Later, at
the Trainer's request, the horse was treated with Xylaxin
due to its fractious behavior while trying to enter the horse ambulance. The
matter was reported to the Stewards, who permitted the withdrawal of the horse.
However, Trainer Prasanna Kumar P. has been fined
Rs.15,000/- for the lapse on his part.
There was a dual declaration in respect of
Jockey Vivek
G. by Trainer S. S. Attaollahi on DON CARLOS and by Trainer S. Waheed on PYRITE. After
questioning all concerned, Trainer S. S. Attaollahi
was permitted to declare Jockey N. S. Parmar on his
charge DON CARLOS and Trainer S. Waheed
was permitted to declare Jockey Vivek G. on his
charge PYRITE. In this connection, Trainer S. S. Attaollahi
has been fined Rs.1,000/- for declaring Jockey Vivek
G. without his consent.
Passing the 400 metres, MIGHTY SPARROW (S. Saqlain)
shifted out thereby carrying DASH (Yash Narredu) outwards. After the race on questioning, Jockey S.
Saqlain stated that his mount was hanging out in the
straight, despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has
been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (DASH) reported that
his mount was hanging–in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures, before
next accepting to race.
After the race, THUNDERING
PHOENIX was observed to have lost its left fore shoe.
The Equine Hospital reported that DON CARLOS had
left eye injury with ulcer and sore both eyes.
RACE NO.6 (86) – THE SURAIYA
& MASOOM MASTER TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 13
GOLDEN LEGEND (Shamaz
Shareef, dr.4) threw its head up at the start and had
to be steadied.
After the race,
FAST APPROACH & MALET SPRING were trotted and found to be sound and TURN
AND BURN was observed to have a cut injury on right knee and VILLANELLE was
observed to have a gum injury.
The Equine Hospital reported that VILLANELLE had
both eye injuries (sore) with ulcer, GOLDEN LEGEND had both eye injuries with
ulcer in left eye and FAST APPROACH had both eye injuries with ulcer.
RACE NO.7 (87) – THE MAUNA
KEA PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES –
RUNNERS - 10
In the process
of stalling, Jockey Vivek G. (MARCUS) injured his left
foot. Since Jockey Vivek G. could not fulfill his
riding engagement, the gelding was withdrawn before coming under the Starters
order.
Passing the 1500
metres, QUICKER (Yash Narredu) shifted in thereby starting a chain reaction due
to which CONINENTAL DRIFT (Santosh G.), THRILL OF
BRAZIL (P. S. Kaviraj) and AXLROD (P. Vinod)
were tightened for room and AXLROD had to check and drop back. After
questioning and not being satisfied with the explanation, Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined
Rs.5000/-
After the race,
KINGS LOVE was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that BEYOND STARS had right eye
injury (sore) with ulcer.

The urine
samples of the winner of the 2nd 6th & 7th
race, viz. BABY BAZOOKA, VILLANELLE & PRIDE’S PRINCE, were collected for
detection of prohibited substances.
The urine and
blood samples of the CREDENCE (Winner – 4th race), REDEFINED (Winner
– 5th race) & DASH (2nd place – 5th race),
were collected for detection of prohibited substances.

RE:
MOCK RACE HELD ON 15TH SEPTEMBER 2024:
JULIANA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and
was found to be sore by left fore. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s
V.O., before next accepting to race.
