RAILS
WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION. RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES WIDE IN THE
CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer S. S. Attaollahi,
permission was granted to Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha to saddle his charges DON CARLOS in the 5th
race & IL VOLO in the 7th race, at his own (Trainer S. S. Attaollahi’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (45) – THE
GOLDEN EDITION PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8
GOLDIVA (A. Sandesh,
dr.3) lost about two lengths at the start.
At the start, ANOUSHKA (Amyn
Merchant, dr.7) jumped outwards at the same time NOBILITY (Prashant
P. Dhebe, dr.8) jumped inwards and they made contact.
Jockey A. Sandesh
(GOLDIVA) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on
his mount. This being the second offence during the current Pune
Meeting 2024, he has been fined Rs.5,000/-.
After the race, NOBILITY was
examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The
mare has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, ZACAPA was trotted and found to
be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that FREEDOM had
right eye injury with ulcer.
RACE NO.2 (46) – THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY - DIVISION II: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 10
The Sr. V.O. reported that ARBITRAGE did not complete the
recommended withdrawal period for DMSO. As such, the gelding was struck out at
the acceptance stage and Trainer Rehanullah Khan has
been fined Rs.5,000/- for the lapse.
DEMETRIUS (Amyn Merchant, dr.5) threw
its head up at the start.
At the start, ETOILE (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.3) jumped inwards and made contact with KHALEESI
(Shamaz Shareef, dr.2).
At the start, BRAHMOS (Shrikant Kamble, dr.7) jumped outwards at the same time CHAMPAGNE
SMILE (Akshay Kumar, dr.9) jumped inwards due
to which STREET SENSE (App. Haridas Gore, dr.8) drawn
between them was tightened and had to be steadied.
RACE NO.3 (47) – THE
TRUEFITT & HILL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES –
RUNNERS - 9
At the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, STAR
OF ASIA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the starting gate, who certified
her fit to race.
CAREGIVER (K. Nazil,
dr.8) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Ivor Fernandes has been asked to give his charge more gate
practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning
starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, CAREGIVER (K. Nazil,
dr.8) jumped outwards onto STAR GALLERY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.9) and had to be steadied.
Approaching the 1000 metres,
STAR GALLERY (Neeraj Rawal)
leaned inwards due to which CAREGIVER (K. Nazil) and
KINGS LOVE (Akshay Kumar) were tightened and had to
be steadied. Jockey Neeraj Rawal
has been cautioned.
Approaching the 350 metres,
PURE (Prashant P. Dhebe)
shifted out onto STAR GALLERY (Neeraj Rawal) thereby bumping and carrying the latter outwards.
Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe
has been cautioned.
Passing the 300 metres,
KINGS LOVE (Akshay Kumar) shifted in thereby
tightening and inconveniencing STAR GALLERY (Neeraj Rawal) who had to be checked. After questioning, Jockey Akshay Kumar stated that his mount was hanging in, despite
his efforts. As such, Trainer Hoisdar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures, before next
accepting to race.
After the race, KINGS LOVE, GOOMAH, CARE GIVER
& STAR OF ASIA were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4 (48) – THE
PANELSERVICE247 PLAY & WIN TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000
METRES –RUNNERS- 10
Trainer
S. Waheed has been fined Rs.5,000/-
for failing to declare his charge EXOTIC STAR in this race after having
accepted with her.
After the race, Jockey Bhawani
Singh (BALENO) reported that his mount was running green throughout the race.
After the race, at the request of Trainer B. Prithviraj, TRANSATLANTIC was examined by the Club’s Sr.
V.O. at the stables and was found to be sore by left hind. The gelding has to
be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, BALENO was trotted and found to be
sound but was observed to have an injury on right hind fetlock and pastern.
After the race, ESCONIDO was trotted at the
stables and found to be sound.
RACE NO.5 (49) – THE
F. D. WADIA TROPHY (Grade 3): (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
FIELD OF DREAMS (Akshay Kumar) entered the paddock sporting the wrong saddle
as such, the filly was taken back to the saddling enclosure and the jockey was
made to weigh out before re-saddling. The Stipendiary Stewards are looking into
the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
At the start, BAKLAVA
(App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7)
jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
Approaching the 350 metres, BAKLAVA (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in under urgings thereby bumping and boring
DON CARLOS (Vivek G.) racing along the rails causing
the latter to be unbalanced resulting in him having to check and drop back.
After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Mustakim
Alam has been reported to the Stewards of the Club
for careless riding on his mount and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, Jockey Yash Narredu (DASH) reported that
his mount drifted out in the final stages. Trainer M. Narredu
has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Vivek G. (DON CARLOS) reported loss of whip passing the 200
metres. This being the first instance during the
current Pune Meeting 2024, no action has been
initiated.
After the race, DON CARLOS was
observed to have lost its left fore shoe and DASH was
trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6 (50) – THE
ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY - DIVISION
I: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 11
At the start, SERRANO (N. S. Parmar,
dr.8) jumped outwards onto LORD MURPHY (K. Pranil,
dr.9) causing the latter to be steadied.
Soon after the start, ATTAINED (Antony Raj S.)
shifted out thereby bumping CIPHER (K. Nazil) who in
turn shifted out onto NELSON RIVER (S. G. Prasad) causing the latter to be
steadied. Jockey Antony Raj S. has been cautioned.
Approaching the 700 metres,
SUPREME SPIRIT (App. N. Bhosale) shifted in sharply
thereby tightening and inconveniencing ATTAINED (Antony Raj S.) racing along
the rails causing the latter to check and drop back due to which NAIROBI (Neeraj Rawal) racing on its
haunches was inconvenienced and had to check and change course thereby carrying
CIPHER (K. Nazil) outwards. After questioning and not
being satisfied, App. N. Bhosale has been suspended
for one race day i.e. on 7th September 2024 for careless riding
(permitted to ride work / mock race).
After the race, RED MERLOT was
examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore. The
gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, ATTAINED was trotted and found to
be sound and ARIYANA STAR was observed to have an injury on left nostril
RACE NO.7 (51) – THE WAVES OF GLORY PLATE: (ABOUT)
1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
At the start, DREAM SELLER (R. Ajinkya, dr.6) jumped outwards and had to be steadied.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh
(SOUP AND SANDWICH) reported that the saddle used on his mount had slipped
during the race. This being the first
instance of faulty saddling during the current Pune
Meeting 2024, Tr. Aman Altaf
Hussain has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
After the race, SOUP AND SANDWICH was trotted and
found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on left hind pastern

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st,
3rd, 4th & 7th race, viz. NOBILITY,
KARIENA, TRIGGER & DREAM SELLER, and the special samples of SOUP AND
SANDWICH (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited
substance.
The urine and blood samples of the FIELD OF
DREAMS (Winner – 5th race) & REDEFINED (2nd place – 5th
race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
