RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES (MILE CHUTE) LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES, 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH RAILS WERE PLACED FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1400 METRES LEADING TO 3 METRES AWAY AT 1200 METRES AND 5 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES.
On a request from Trainer Nosher Cama, permission was granted to Trainer Behram Cama to saddle his charge KUBRIC in the 3rd race, at his own (Trainer Nosher Cama’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (21) – THE ARISTOS PLATE: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
ARBITRAGE (App. Haridas Gore, dr.5) took a fly jump at the start.
Passing the 1400 metres, GIMME (T. S. Jodha) shifted in and went across LIGHTINING BLAZE (K. Nazil) causing the latter to check and drop back and in the process lost its footing. Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.
After the race, LIGHTNING BLAZE was trotted and found to be sound but was found to have an injury on right fore cannon and coronet and was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.
RACE NO.2 (22) – THE V. P. KOREGAONKAR PLATE: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 6
BIG RED (P. S. Chouhan, dr.4) jumped out slowly losing about two lengths at the start.
Soon after the start, CAPUCINE (App. N. Bhosale) shifted in thereby bumping and forcing BIG RED (P. S. Chouhan) inwards who in turn brushed the haunches of ALPHA DOMINO (Neeraj Rawal). App. N. Bhosale has been cautioned.
After the race, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde (EATON SQUARE) reported that his mount was hanging – in, in the straight despite his efforts. Trainer M. Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race.
After the race, App. N. Bhosale (CAPUCINE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, EXUMA was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, BIG RED & CAPUCINE were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3 (23) – THE KHEEM SINGH GOLD CUP: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 14
On the arrival at the start, at the request of Jockey S. J. Sunil (LIGHT OF LIFE) his mount was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. who certified the colt fit to race but was observed to have broken a lower tooth.
PRIDE’S PRINCE (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start.
Soon after the start, KING’S RETREAT (P. Trevor) leaned outwards and went across PRIDE’S PRINCE (Vishal N. Bunde) who was marginally slow to begin.
Approaching the 1000 meteres, GLACIER (Neeraj Rawal) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing KUBRIC (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to check, in the process stumbled thereby unbalancing the rider. After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
Approaching the 800 metres, STAR PROSPERITY (App. Haridas Gore) shifted in and went across KUBRIC (T. S. Jodha) causing the latter to be checked. After questioning and not being satisfied, App. Haridas Gore has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
Approaching the 500 metres, PRIDE’S PRINCE (Vishal N. Bunde) leaned outwards and made contact with KING’S RETREAT (P. Trevor).
Passing the 500 metres, KUBRIC (T. S. Jodha) leaned inwards onto NASHVEGAS (N. S. Parmar) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey T. S. Jodha has been cautioned.
Approaching the 150 metres, GLACIER (Neeraj Rawal) racing in between KUBRIC (T. S. Jodha) and LIGHT OF LIFE (S. J. Sunil) was inconvenienced and had to be steadied. Jockeys T. S. Jodha and S. J. Sunil have been cautioned.
After the race, ATOMIC ANGEL was found to have multiple abrasion on right hind fetlock and hock injury on right hind bulb of heel and was observed to have lost its right hind shoe.
After the race, NASHVEGAS was trotted and found to be sound and GLACIER was trotted at the stables and was found to be sound.
RACE NO.4 (24) – THE A. C. ARDESHIR TROPHY (Grade 3): (ABOUT) 1600 METRES –RUNNERS- 8
MOJITO (N. S. Parmar) was reluctant to reach the starting gate. Trainer M. K. Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, NORTHERN LIGHTS (P. S. Chouhan) stumbled.
Jockey Yash Narredu (COUNT OF SAVOY) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2023/24, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, ZUCCARELLI was examined by the Club’s V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, COEUR DE LION was trotted and found to be sound and GOLDEN NEIL was found to have an injury on right fore fetlock
RACE NO.5 (25) – THE JEHANGIR P. DUBASH TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 11
BELENCIAGA (App. Haridas Gore) jumped out slowly losing about two lengths at the start.
Approaching the 1000 metres SAN SALVATORE (K. Nazil) shifted out thereby bumping and forcing NOLAN (Vivek G.) outwards who in turn shifted out thereby inconveniencing ATAASH (P. Trevor). After questioning and not being satisfied, Jockey K. Nazil has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, QUEENS PRIDE was found to have an injury above right hock.
RACE NO.6 (26) – THE B FIFTY TWO TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 7
At the request of Jockey A. K. Aniket (RED MERLOT) his mount was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the Starting gates and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds before coming under the Starter’s order and has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
Approaching the 500 metres, SIM SIM (Amyn Merchant) shifted out under urgings thereby carrying JETFIRE (Prashant P. Dhebe) and DEMETRIUS (S. J. Moulin) outwards. Jockey Amyn Merchant has been severely reprimanded.
Jockey Amyn Merchant (SIM SIM) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his 1st offence during the current Mumbai Meeting 2023/24, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, on being weighed in, Jockey R. Shelar (ALPHA GENE) exceeded his declared weight by 2 kgs. i.e. he had weighed out at 51.5 Kgs. and weighed in at 53.5 kgs. The Stipendiary Stewards will be looking into the same and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, CHIEFTAIN was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. at the stables on 11th December 2023 and was found to be sore by right fore, as such, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
After the race, WALSHY & ALPHA GENE were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st & 3rd race, viz. GIMME & STAR PROSPERITY, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
The urine and blood samples of the winner of the COUNT OF SAVOY (Winner – 4th race) & MOJITO (2nd place – 4th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORT:
MOCK RACE HELD ON 10TH DECEMBER 2023:
BLUE’S PRIDE was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.
