RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 1600 METRES TO 1000 METRES, 2 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES THEREAFTER 4 METRES WIDE UPTO THE WINNING POST.

 

RACE NO.1 (107) – THE RODEO PLATE: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

 

REGAL COMMAND (Bhawani Singh, dr.1) was restless in the stall and was not allowing his rider to settle. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, Jockey N. S. Parmar (MISS AMERICAN PIE) reported that passing the 250 metres his reins slipped momentarily.

 

After the race, Jockey Y. S. Srinath (LORD AND MASTER) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight, despite his efforts.  Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, LORD AND MASTER & REGAL COMMAND were trotted and found to be sound. Further, REGAL COMMAND was found to have a gum injury.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that LORD AND MASTER was found to have sore right eye.

 

RACE NO.2 (108) – THE K. RAGHUNATH PLATE: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 11

 

At the request of Trainer Rehanullah Khan, MOMENT OF MADNESS was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the stable area at 09.30 a.m. on 14th October 2023 and was found to be sore by left hind, as such, the mare was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, VOLARE (P. Shinde, dr.9) jumped outwards and made contact with TRINKET (Bhawani Singh, dr.11).

 

After the race, App. S. Saba (HABIBI) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race, despite his efforts. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, HABIBI was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

 

After the race, VOLARE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (109) – THE PRUDENTIAL CHAMP TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 7

 

At the start, WE STILL BELIEVE (K. Nazil, dr.2) jumped inwards and went across ESCONIDO (S. Saqlain, dr.4) who was marginally slow to begin causing the latter to be steadied.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ESCONIDO was found to have an ulcer on right eye and GOLD CAVIAR was found to have sore right eye.

 

After the race, WE STILL BELIEVE was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have wolf tooth on right side. As such, Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ZARQAWI was trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ZARQAWI was found to have sore left eye.

 

RACE NO.4 (110) – THE SIR SULTAN CHINOY TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES –RUNNERS- 10

 

At the request of Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait, ENCANTAMENTO was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. in the stable area at 06.10 p.m. on 12th October 2023 and was found to be sore by right hind, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was permitted to be withdrawn on Veterinary grounds and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

KIMIKO (C. S. Jodha, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about a length at the start.

 

Passing the 250 metres, CORDELIA (C. Umesh) shifted out thereby carrying SMILES OF FORTUNE (Yash Narredu) and KIMIKO (C. S. Jodha) outwards.  Jockey C. Umesh has been cautioned.

 

After the race, SMILES OF FORTUNE & TYRONE BLACK were trotted and found to be sound.

 

After the race, CHIEFTAIN was observed to have lost its left hind shoe.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that TYRONE BLACK was found to have sore left eye.

 

RACE NO.5 (111) – THE N. K. PUDUMJEE TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1000 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

 

At the request of Trainer P. Shroff, SUNBURST was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. after morning track work on 12th October 2023 and was observed to have broken a blood vessel, as such, the filly is not to race for stipulated period of four weeks and has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, MOONLIGHT KISS (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7) jumped inwards and made contact with STREET SENSE (Vivek G., dr.6) forcing it onto RISING POWER (K. Nazil, dr.5).

 

Soon After the start, MOONLIGHT KISS (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing STREET SENSE (Vivek G.) and TEE TEE DEE (H. M. Akshay) thereafter MOONLIGHT KISS shifted out and made contact with KOENIG (Y. S. Srinath). App. Mustakim Alam has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 800 metres, STREET SENSE (Vivek G.) shifted in thereby tightening TEE TEE DEE (H. M. Akshay) causing the latter to check and drop back due to which DRAGON WINGS (A. K. Aniket) racing its haunches had to check and change course. After questioning Jockey Vivek G has been fined Rs.5,000/-.

 

After the race, Jockey Bhawani Singh (IMPULSIVE) reported that his mount was inclined outwards in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, UGLY TRUTH was trotted and found to be sound.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that STREET SENSE was found to have ulcer in right eye and KOENIG was found to have ulcer in both the eyes.

 

RACE NO.6 (112) – THE SURESH MAHINDRA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 3200 METRES – RUNNERS - 3

 

Passing the 300 metres, EUPHORIC (M. S. Deora) shifted in and went across PISSARRO (P. Trevor) causing the latter to be steadied. Jockey M. S. Deora has been cautioned.

 

Passing the 150 metres, it was observed that Jockey M. S. Deora (EUPHORIC) lost his balance momentarily.

 

After the race, TAIMUR was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, PISSARRO was trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd & 4th race, viz. TRINKET & SCARAMANGA, and the special samples of WE STILL BELIEVE & ZARQAWI (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
