RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 1600 MTRS TO 1000 MTRS. THEREAFTER RAILS WERE PLACED 2 MTRS WIDE UPTO WINING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED 4 MTRS WIDE IN THE CHUTE.
On a request from Trainer Aravind G., permission was granted to Trainer Karthik Ganapathy to saddle his charge MUSTERION in the 3rd race, at his own (Trainer Aravind G.’s) risk and responsibility.
On a request from Trainer Dallas Todywalla, permission was granted to Trainer Sanjay Kolse to saddle his charge VICTORIA PEAK in the 2nd race, BELENCIAGA in the 4th race & TWELFTH EARL in the 6th race at his own (Trainer Dallas Todywalla’s) risk and responsibility.
RACE NO.1(117) – THE INDIARACE.COM TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9
It was observed that RED RIOT (App. A. S. Peter) was produced sporting Blinkers in the paddock for which the permission was not obtained. The said equipment was removed before the gelding left the paddock. As such, Trainer H. J. Antia has been fined Rs.1,000/- for his lase.
At the start, GIVERNY (P. Trevor, dr.3) jumped out awkwardly brushing the gates due to which the Jockey was unbalance momentarily. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
Soon after the the start, RED RIOT (App. A. S. Peter, dr.1) shifted out and went across SHERA (S. P. Ranjane, dr.2) who had to be steadied thereafter further shifted out due to which A GOOD CHANCE (S. J. Sunil, dr.4) and DAULAT MAI (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.5) racing behind were observed to have jostled. App. A. S. Peter has been severely reprimanded.
RACE NO.2(118) – THE RACE MIRROR TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 11
At the start, TRISTAR (S. Zervan, dr.2) jumped outwards onto SHE IS ON FIRE (App. P. Vinod, dr.3).
At the start, STARS FOR YOU (App. Haridas Gore, dr.8) jumped inwards thereby bumping RED CARNATION (J. Chinoy, dr.7) forcing it inwards onto DOWSABEL (A. Sandesh, dr.6) thereafter VICTORIA PEAK (S. Saqlain, dr.5) leaned outwards as a result further tightening the above mentioned horses. After questioning all concerned, Jockey S. Saqlain has been fined Rs.3,000/- and App. Haridas Gore’s Jockey’s licence has been suspended for one race day i.e. on first race day of the Mumbai Meeting 2022/2023 date of which will be intimated in due course (permitted to ride work/mock race).
After the race, NORTHERN SINGER was observed to have lost right fore shoe.
After the race, DOWSABEL & RISING BRAVE were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(119) – THE TIMES OF INDIA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 7
After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha (REGAL COMMAND) reported that the saddle on his mount had slipped back during the race. This being the first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2022 of faulty saddling, Trainer Karthik Ganapathy has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Jockey C. S. Jodha (REGAL COMMAND) has been cautioned for not completing parade on the Track.
After the race, TIME was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(120) – THE HINDU TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres –Runners- 11
INAMORATA (P. S. Chouhan, dr.4) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning trials, before next accepting to race.
Passing the 600 metres, PEGASO (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted in thereby tightening and inconvenienced HOUSE OF LORDS (J. Chinoy) who had to be checked. After the race, Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe reported that his mount was running green and was inclined outwards round the turn and in his effort to straighten him, the gelding leaned inwards. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey A. Sandesh (PERFECT WIN) reported that his mount was not striding freely in the race. As such the gelding was subjected to veterinary examination and found to be sound.
After the race, PEGASO were trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine hospital reported that the PERFECT WIN had right eye injury.
RACE NO.5(121) – THE DOPAHAR TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
At the start, REDEFINED (K. Nazil, dr.2) jumped outwards at the same time RUBIK STAR (R. Ajinkya, dr.4) jumped inwards thereby tightening KINGS BEST (P. Trevor, dr.3) dawn between them.
It was observed that passing the 300 metres, SINNER (S. Saqlain) veered out in the straight and thereafter finished on the extreme outside. In view of the behavior of the gelding, Trainer Imtiaz A. Sait has been asked to show his charge in a mock race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting to race.
Approaching the 600 metres, KINGS BEST (P. Trevor) leaned inwards thereby tightening MARLBORO MAN (App. P. Shinde) along the rails who had to be steadied. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned.
Tr. Vinesh (FINCH) has been fined Rs.500/- for bringing his charge late in the paddock.
After the race, SINNER & KINGS BEST were trotted and found to be sound. Further SINNER’s mouth was examined for any dental issues, however, none was found.
The Equine hospital reported that the RUBIK STAR had right eye injury (sore).

RACE NO.6(122) – THE RACINGPULSE.IN TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 15
JUICED (Prashant P. Dhebe, dr.10) jumped out slowly losing about 5 lengths at the start. Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
DALASAN (D. R. Shubham, dr.6) jumped out and did not raise an effective gallop after the start. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, RECIPROCITY (App. A. S. Peter, dr.7) jumped outwards at the same time SCOTTISH SCHOLAR (Amyn Merchant, dr.8) leaned inwards and they made contact.
Soon after the start, TWELFTH EARL (App. P. Vinod) shifted in and went across the field due to which GALLOPING GLORY (P. Trevor) had to be steadied. App. P. Vinod has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
Approaching the 1000 metres, due to a tightly packed field POWER OF THOR (Dashrath Singh) & MYSTERIOUS GIRL (K. Nazil) had to be steadied.
Approaching the 500 metres, JUICED (Prashant P. Dhebe) shifted in thereby tightening SCOTTISH SCHOLAR (Amyn Merchant) causing the latter to be checked and drop back. Jockey Prashant P. Dhebe has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
Jockey R. Shelar (SUSSING) has been cautioned for not completing parade on the Track.
After the race, TOOFAAN was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine hospital reported that the GALLOPING GLORY had left eye injury (sore).

The urine samples of the winner of the 2nd & 4th race, viz. NORTHERN SINGER & BALENCIAGA, and the special samples of KINGS BEST (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
