 RACE NO.1(178) – THE KINGFISHER ULTRA MAX MILE (DIV.II): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 12 

 

At the start, JIBUTI (App. Yash Narredu, dr. 2) shifted out on to LOVEJOY (N. S. Parmar, dr. 3).

 

At the start, DIABLO (Malcolm Kharadi, dr. 7) shifted out and went across RESILIENT (A. Sandesh, dr. 8) and made contact with MOVE IN TIME (C. S. Jodha, dr. 9). On questioning, Jockey Malcolm Kharadi stated that his mount shifted out despite his efforts.

 

During the early part of the race, OSCILLATION (Dashrath Singh) was observed to have been leaping over the shadows cast on the track.

 

Passing 1100 metres, MOVE IN TIME (C. S. Jodha) shifted in and bumped DESERT LILY (H. G. Rathod) due to which the latter stumbled. Jockey C. S. Jodha has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Jockey C. S. Jodha (MOVE IN TIME) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

App. Yash Narredu (JIBUTI) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (DANCING SPLENDOUR) reported that his mount hung-in in the straight. Trainer S. S. Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, SECRET FLAME was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind pastern. DESERT LILY, DANCING SPLENDOUR, OSCILLATION and PRACS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(179) – THE BRIGHT OUTDOOR MEDIA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8

 

Passing 300 metres, TROMBONE (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and went on to WARLOCK (C. S. Jodha). Thereafter, TROMBONE shifted out under the use of whip. Jockey Dashrath Singh has been fined Rs.2,000/- for failing to take corrective action.

 

HIGHLAND BREEZE (A. Sandesh) was observed to have hung out in the straight, Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, SHOGUN, IMITATION GAME and TROMBONE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(180)  – THE IBJA TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 17

 

At the start, VIA AMORIS (Neeraj Rawal, dr.5) shifted out and at the same time THE CHAMP (P.Trevor, dr.6) shifted in and bumped each other.

 

Soon after the start, SHADES OF GLORY (A. Ashhad Asbar, dr.17) shifted in and cut across the field thereby tightening the field on his inside. On questioning, Jockey A. Ashhad Asbar stated that his mount shifted in despite his efforts to keep straight.

 

Passing 600 metres, LOGANO (Akshay) shifted out on to THE CHAMP (P. Trevor).

 

Passing 150 metres, PHOENIX FIRE (App. Santosh .G) shifted out on to LOGANO (Akshay), who in turn went on to DANCING LORD (App. R. Ajinkya). App.Santosh.G has been cautioned.

 

App. R. Ajinkya (DANCING LORD) lost his whip at about 200 metres. This being the fourth occasion of him losing the whip during the current Mumbai Meeting, the matter has been reported to the Stewards.

 

After the race, LOGANO and MOROCCAN were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that after the race SHADES OF GLORY stopped on the Track. On examination the filly was found to be sore by the left fore leg. First Aid treatment was given on the track and the filly was sent to the Equine Hospital for further management. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, APSARAS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(181) – THE KINGFISHER ULTRA MAX MILE  (DIV.I): (About) 1600 Metres – Runners -  12

 

At the start, SANAM (P. Trevor, dr.10) shifted in on to COAT OF ARMS (H. G. Rathod, dr. 9) causing the latter to stumble.

 

At the start, ASSANGE (Zameer Sayyed, dr. 3) shifted out and at the same time BAY OF LOVE (S. P. Ranjane, dr.6) shifted in, due to which ARSENAL (P. S. Chouhan, dr. 4) and BALCHANDRA (Shrikant Kamble, dr. 5) were hampered for room.

 

Passing 1400 metres, FLASHING HONOUR (A. Sandesh) shifted in due to which ARSENAL (P. S. Chouhan), who was racing on its haunches, was hampered for room and went on to FAIRFARREN (S. John).

 

After the race, ALLEGIANCE, ASSANGE, COAT OF ARMS and CHARGING EMPRESS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(182) – THE DR.M.A.M.RAMASWAMY SPRINT MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9

 

Approaching 1000 metres, MINE FOREVER (P. Trevor) shifted in thereby tightening MAXIMUS (App. Jaykumar), who in turn went on to PROVIDENCE (Dashrath Singh). Thereafter, MINE FOREVER further shifted in and went across ZANDER (App. Yash Narredu) who had to be checked. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned.

 

Passing 1000 metres, PROVIDENCE (Dashrath Singh) who was racing between HIMALAYAN QUEEN (Neeraj Rawal) and MAXIMUS (App. Jaykumar), was tightened for room and dropped back.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the improved performance of PAPAKURA and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

RACE NO.6(183) – THE CHETAK HORSE RACING MILLION:  (About) 2400 Metres – Runners - 18 

 

After being stalled, AEOLUS MAXIMUS (App. Bhawani Singh) hooked one of its hind legs on the platform. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. 

 

At the start, JAGER BOMB (C. S. Jodha, dr.4) shifted out inconveniencing SHE IS SPECIAL (Kevin Manning, dr.5). 

 

Passing 200 metres, OLLY BOY (Imran Chisty) shifted out under the use of whip on to  SAVAGE GARDEN (J. Chinoy), who in turn went on to PERSONIFY (A. Sandesh). Jockey Imran Chisty has been fined Rs.3,000/- for failing to take corrective action.

 

After the race, SPONTANEOUS EDDIE and ROMANTIC BEAUTY were found to be sore by the right fore leg. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, OLLY BOY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(184) – THE B.K.RATTONSEY MEMORIAL MAIDEN MULTI-MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners – 11

 

Soon after the start, LADISLAUS (A. Imran Khan, dr. 10) shifted in and went across HONEY DEW (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 8) who had to be checked.

 

Approaching 800 metres, MULTISTAR (Dashrath Singh) shifted in on to HONEY DEW (Neeraj Rawal).

 

LORD DARLINGTON (David Allan) was observed to have hung out in the straight despite the rider’s efforts to keep straight. Trainer S. Padmanabhan has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

 

Jockey A.Imran Khan (LADISLAUS) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey N.S.Parmar (SAFDAR) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his fourth offence with regard to the use of the whip during the current Mumbai Meeting, the matter has been reported to the Stewards.

 

RACE NO.8(185) – THE KINGFISHER ULTRA INDIAN DERBY(GR.1) PARTNERED BY SIGNATURE : ( About) 2400 Metres – Runners – 20

 

After being stalled, BOLD APPEAL (App. Bhawani Singh) tried to duck the front gate. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race.

 

At the start, B FIFTY TWO (Imran Chisty, dr. 1) jumped outwards on to COSTA DEL SOL (James Doyle, dr. 2) thereby starting a chain reaction, due to which BRILLIANT CUT (S. John, dr.4), GESTAPO (Jim Crowley, dr.5), JEFFERSON (Dashrath Singh, dr. 7), and STAR FORMATION (T. S. Jodha, dr. 8) were tightened for room and dropped back. On questioning, Jockey Imran Chisty stated that his mount shifted out not giving him time to respond.

 

Approaching the 600 metres, COSTA DEL SOL (James Doyle) shifted in on to OSTWIND (App. Yash Narredu), who went on to SHIVALIK HEROINE (C. S. Jodha), who in turn shifted in on to AIRCO (Arshad Alam), who was forced to be checked. Jockey James Doyle has been cautioned.

 

Passing 600 metres, MYRTLEWOOD (P. S. Chouhan) shifted out on to SEA LORD (P. Trevor), who in turn went on to MAGNIFICENCE (A. Imran Khan).

 

Passing 400 metres, PHOENIX TIGER (Colm O’Donoghue) shifted in on to DESERT GOD (David Allan), who in turn went on to BULLRUN (Neeraj Rawal) causing the latter to be tightened along the rails.

 

Passing 200 metres, PHOENIX TIGER (Colm O’Donoghue) shifted in on to COSTA DEL SOL (James Doyle) who was tightened for room.

 

Jockey David Allan (DESERT GOD) has been fined Rs.3,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

After the race, BULLRUN showed symptoms of distress at the saddling area. The gelding was given a cold water wash after which he recovered and was sent to the stables.

 

After the race, DESERT GOD was found to be sound. 

 

COLOMBIANA (Pat Smullen) was placed fifth and JEFFERSON (Dashrath Singh) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.9(186) – THE IBJA TROPHY(DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres – Runners -  17

 

After being stalled, VISION OF ROMANCE (Amyn Merchant) played up in the stall and hooked one of its fore legs in the adjoining stall. The gelding was taken out and withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer C. D. Katrak has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, THE MAGICIAN (App. Santosh G. dr.3) shifted in on to CELTIC PRINCE (S. N. Chavan, dr.2).

 

At the start, INDIAN SERENADE (P. S. Chouhan, dr.13) shifted in and bumped ADVANCE TO CONTACT (App. Bhawani Singh, dr.12). After questioning, Jockey P. S. Chouhan has been fined Rs.2,000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Passing 900 metres, The MAGICIAN (App. Santosh G.) shifted out, due to which SUNNY SEA (S. John) who was racing on its haunches, clipped the heels and stumbled. App. Santosh G. has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

Approaching 400 metres, BEACH GAME (Neeraj Rawal) shifted out on to ZOOM ZOOM (N. S. Parmar) who had to be steadied.

 

After the race, VISION OF ROMANCE, CELTIC PRINCE and INDIAN SERENADE were found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winners of all races viz. UNCLE SCROOGE (1st race), HIGHLAND BREEZE (2nd race), THE CHAMP (3rd race), FLASHING HONOUR (4th race), PAPAKURA (5th race), SABIQ (6th race), SHIVALIK SHINE  (7th race) DESERT GOD (8th race) and HARVEY (9th race), as also that of MYRTLEWOOD, GESTAPO and PHOENIX TIGER (8th race), and the special sample of IMITATION GAME (2nd race) and LOGANO & MOROCCAN (3rd race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
