RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM ITS ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES (MILE CHUTE) TO 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST.
Permission was granted to Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha to saddle the charge of Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha viz. SONG OF AFRICA (3rd race), at his (Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer C.D.Katrak, permission was granted to Trainer Adil Dajee to saddle his charges HIMALAYAN QUEEN (3rd race) & JUDICIOUS (6th race), at his (Trainer C.D.Katrak’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer M.Narredu, permission was granted to Trainer Damodaran D.Pillai to saddle his charges SOOTHSAYER (3rd race), SUPERLICIOUS (5th race), JULIANA (6th race) & THERE SHE GOES (7th race), at his (Trainer M.Narredu’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(284) - THE SIMPLY GORGEOUS PLATE: (About)1600 Metres. Runners – 4
Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (MAALIK) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for weighing out late.
An enquiry has been initiated into the Running & Riding of BALCHANDRA and a report will be submitted shortly.
RACE NO.2(285) – THE JEHAN NUMA PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 11
ZARAR (D.K.Ashish) played up in the stall. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified him fit to race. Trainer Sangramsinh N.Joshi has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, MUMBAI KING (S.Mosin) jumped awkwardly outwards. WILD SEA (S.Sameer, dr.7) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to ZANTHOS (Amyn Merchant, dr.6).
Soon after the start, ZARAR (D.K.Ashish) and WILD SEA (S.Sameer) were tightened due to lack of room.
MUMBAI KING (S.Mosin) ran unsettled in the early part of the race.
Jockey Anil Baandal (STARRIANO) has been cautioned for shifting in before the Red Marker.
ROCK THE TURF (Dashrath Singh) did not get a clear run through most part of the straight.
MUMBAI KING (S.Mosin) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
An enquiry has been initiated into the poor performance of ARMEL (Hanumant Singh) and a report will be submitted shortly.
After the race, ZARAR was observed to have a gum injury. MUMBAI KING was examined at the stables in the morning on 27-03/2015 and was found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(286) – THE ONASSIS TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 9
NIRBHAYA (S.G.Prasad) stumbled at the start.
At the start, SONG OF AFRICA (App.D.S.Daman, dr.5) jumped awkwardly inwards, due to which BORN TO WIN (S.Mosin, dr.4) went on to DIVINE SOLITAIRE (R.Shelar, dr.3).
Near 1000 metres, NIRBHAYA (S.G.Prasad) shifted in and tightened SONG OF AFRICA (App.D.S.Daman) who was steadied and in the process PALACE GIRL (Kishore Kadam) who was following SONG OF AFRICA, clipped the heels of the former and stumbled. Jockey S.G.Prasad has been suspended for 12th April, 2015 for careless riding. (permitted to ride work/mock race).
Jockey S. Mosin (BORN TO WIN) reported that his mount lugged-in in the early stages of the race and ran erratic in the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, SONG OF AFRICA and BORN TO WIN were found to be sound.
RACE NO.4(287) – THE D W REID PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres. Runners – 12
POLAR ZONE (App.R.Ajinkya)) and MY FREEDOM (A.Ashhad Asbar) took a fly jump.
Soon after start, MILLENIUM FALCON (J.Chinoy, dr.12) shifted in and jostled with JOY OF LIFE (Zameer Sayyed, dr.11). Jockey J.Chinoy has been fined Rs.2,000/-
Passing 800 metres, ROYAL SAPPHIRE (S.G.Prasad) shifted in and went on to REALITY (V.Chandrakant) who had to be steadied and in the process caused POLAR ZONE (App.R.Ajinkya) and ABSOLUTE JEWEL (C.S.Jodha) who were following REALITY, had to be checked by their riders. Due to this incident STRIKING SHADOW (A.M.Tograllu) also received interference. Jockey S.G.Prasad has been suspended w.e.f. 18th April, 2015 to 19th April, 2015 for careless riding (permitted to ride work/mock race).
MY FREEDOM (A.Ashhad Asbar) and JOY OF LIFE (Zameer Sayyed) lugged-in in the straight. Trainers Asad Siddiqui and S.S.Shah have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge before next accepting with them to race.
After the race, MILLENIUM FALCON and ABSOLUTE JEWEL were found to be sound.
RACE NO.5(288) – THE ONASSIS TROPHY (DIV.I):(About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 10
At the start, VALENTINO (I.Pasha, dr.2) jumped awkwardly outwards and went on to WINGS OF GLORY (Amyn Merchant, dr.3) who in turn made contact with JOSHUA (Dashrath Singh, dr.4)
Jockey S.Sameer (ORIENTAL ROCKY) reported the loss of whip near 100 meters.
Jockey S.Mosin (ALECTO) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, PEPITO was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, FREE SPEECH, ASHRAFIE and JOSHUA were found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(289) -THE NADIA MARY HOMI WADIA TROPHY:(About) 1000 Metres. Runners– 13
Jockey Darren Williams (BRAHMACHARI) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for arriving late into the Parade Ring.
ALPS (Dashrath Singh) hung out throughout the race and drifted further out in the straight whereby the Jockey was unable to ride out his mount Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Steward in a mock race before next accepting to race.
BRAHMCHARI (Darren Williams), CANNONBALL RUN (S.Zervan), JUDICIOUS (C.S.Jodha) and JULIANA (P.Trevor) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Imtiaz A.Sait, Narendra Lagad, C.D.Katrak and M.Narredu have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race them.
RACE NO.7(290) - THE D W REID PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres. Runners -13
Jockey S.Sameer (RECKLESS) reported the loss of his whip near 100 metres. This being the second occasion of him losing his whip, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Jockey Dashrath Singh (STAR) reported the loss of his whip about 100 metres from the Winning Post.
Jockey S.G.Prasad (ANCIENT WORLD) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 4th and 6th race, viz. MAALIK, PRESIDENT and BRAHMACHARI and the special sample of ARMEL (2nd race) and JOSHUA (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS :
RE: HORSE OBSERVED TO HAVE BROKEN A BLOOD VESSEL DURING MORNING TRACK WORK :
The Sr.V.O. reported that IMPRESSIONIST was observed to have broken a blood vessel after morning track work on 26/03/2015. The gelding is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks and until passed fit by the Club’s V.O.

RE: REQUEST TO PREPONE THE DATES FOR SUSPENSION OF YOUR LICENSE WITH REGARD TO USE OF WHIP ON YOUR MOUNT “JIMBO”.
App.Yash Narredu’s license was suspended w.e.f. 11th April, 2015 to 12th April, 2015 for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limt on his mount JIMBO in Race No.277.
Vide his e-mail dated 25th March 2015, App.Yash Narredu requested to advance his suspension dates. As such, his Apprentice Jockey’s License will now stand suspended w.e.f. 4th April 2015 to 5th April 2015. (Permitted to ride work/ Mock race).

RE: RACE NO 280: THE SWITCH MEDIA TROPHY – DIV II – RUN ON 22ND MARCH 2015
Jockey N.Rawal (ALECTAR) has been fined Rs.1,000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “FLYING SHOW” IN RACE NO.256 – THE ROYAL DEEDS PLATE RUN ON 12TH MARCH, 2015 :
Trainer Hosidar Daji and Jockey Malcolm Kharadi were questioned in the above connection. Jockey Malcolm Kharadi stated that he was asked to give the filly a chance and to do his best in the straight. He said that he had done his best but the filly fizzled out and had nothing left in her. The trainer agreed with the Jockey. It was put to the Jockey that he had all the chance to improve his mount in the straight when he was along the eventual winner but he has weakened in his riding and let the winner go ahead.
Not being satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey Malcolm Kharadi, his Jockey’s license has been suspended w.e.f. 11th April, 2015 to 19th April, 2015 (both days inclusive) for unsatisfactory riding on his mount (permitted to ride work/mock race).

RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE RUNNING AND RIDING OF “BLUE FLAME” IN RACE NO.259 – THE A.HOYT PLATE RUN ON 12TH MARCH, 2015 :
Trainer H.J.Antia and Jockey S.G.Prasad were questioned in the above connection and having heard them and having viewed the video of Race No.259 the Stipendiary Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey S.G.Prasad and held him guilty of unsatisfactory riding on his mount BLUE FLAME. Therefore, they decided :-
a) To suspend his Jockey’s license w.e.f. 5th April, 2015 to 11th April, 2015 (both days inclusive) (permitted to ride work/mock race);
b) To fine him a sum of Rs.10,000/-.
