The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on 15th August, 2014 interviewed Trainer Subhag Singh regarding the Confirmatory Analysis Report dated 14th 2014 from LCH, France, in respect of the sample of urine taken from his charge MAHAAKAUSHAL on 9th July, 2014 since the filly had arrived to his charge  from Trainer Arti Doctor, R.C.T.C.,  which read as under :-

RE : ENQUIRY INTO THE RIDING OF JOCKEY A.SANDESH ON “FLASHING CHIEFTAIN” IN RACE NO.31 – THE AUGUST HANDICAP RUN ON SUNDAY, 3RD AUGUST, 2014 :

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Friday, 15th August, 2014 interviewed Trainer Karthik G. and Jockey A.Sandesh in the above connection and having heard them and viewed the video recording of Race No.31, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey A.Sandesh and held him guilty of incompetent riding on his mount FLASHING CHIEFTAIN. The Stewards noted that in the final 200 metres when he pulled the horse to make his move, he was nearly two lengths behind the leader, WESTPHALIA, and he had  the chance to use the whip at that stage, which he failed to do and this may have cost him the race since he lost the race by a Head. The Trainer also confirmed that he did not tell Jockey A.Sandesh not to use the whip and that a couple of cracks could have made a difference to the result of the race. Therefore, the Stewards decided to suspend his Jockey’s license for 30th August, 2014 for incompetent riding (permitted to ride work/mock race).
