From the Horses Mouth - Race form Analysis Guide for Sunday, 28th October 2018

-By Cyrus Naterwalla

Race No. 1 :-The Mr. Greedy Plate – Class IV & V – Distance :- 1800M

PATHAN :- In form 4 year old gelding from the yard of S.A. Waheed, he seems to have finally gotten his act together after promising without delivering for quite a while and comes into this bidding for a hattrick, having scored 2 impressive wins to remain unbeaten this season. Overall a winner of 2 of his 12 starts, he was strongly fancied on his last run of the Mumbai season but could only manage to end up 3rd to Flower Dust over 1400M. However, upped to 1800M on his first run this season, he decimated the opposition to win easing down by 3 ¾ lengths and followed that up with an equally impressive performance over 2000M upped to this grade, when again scoring decisively by 2 ¼ lengths from Cavarozzi with Gnostic Eyes back in 5th. He is penalized a further 5 ½ kilos for the win so needs to improve again to confirm the form with Gnostic Eyes (who ran below par) but looks to be improving with every run and could very well defy the handicap again. P.S. Chouhan retains the ride and he looks to have a very good chance to make it 3 in a row.

GNOSTIC EYES :- Well bred 4 year old gelding trained by Rehanullah Khan who like Pathan, has won 2 of his 12 starts, the 2nd of those coming on his penultimate run this season over 1800M, when he won easily beating Sylvester by 3 ½ lengths. He did not seem to be in the same form last time out when only 5th behind Pathan but he was conceding 4 kilos that day and now receives 2 so he is marginally better off at the weights. He did not seem to give his true running last time out and is partnered by A. Sandesh again today so if returning to the form of his earlier win, then he looks a strong contender to gain revenge and take this.

ORIANA :- Nicely bred and lightly raced 3 year old filly trained by Malesh Narredu, she has run thrice so far and managed to place both starts this term. Given an educative run on debut back in Mumbai, she showed that she had improved considerably over the summer when finishing a good 2nd to Barbaresco over 1400M on her reappearance and was well fancied next time out but ran below par, finishing a disappointing 3rd behind Mount Olympus and Charles Bridge. That was just her 3rd start so she is capable of improving and she has been given a month to recover and strengthen. She has something to prove after that last effort but if bouncing back she could be a factor and is worthy of consideration with Neeraj Rawal in the saddle.

BENEVOLENCE :-Maiden 3 year old Dean’s Kitten filly from the stable of Imtiaz Sait, she has run 4 times so far without success but hinted at some ability when upped to 2000M last time out to finish runner up to Roberta, finishing way behind the winner but also well clear of the rest. The ability of those who finished behind her that day is debatable but that was a marked improvement from her earlier runs and she looks capable of improving and is unexposed over this trip. She has been kept fresh since that run, Akshay Kumar has been booked to ride and she looks an interesting contender who could prove to be value at a price.

RETAINED ASSET :- One of the more exposed runners in this field, this 3 year old gelding trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha has run 6 times and has been fancied on a couple of occasions but has done nothing noteworthy in spite of working extremely well for some time now. After running over shorter distances he was tried over 1800M last time out with Y.S. Srinath up and was heavily backed that day but again ran poorly finishing last of the 6 runners. It is interesting that his trainer persists with him over a staying trip now in handicap company and S.A. Amit now takes over in the saddle. He comes into this off bottom weight and could be a rank outsider who could spring a huge surprise at a long price and is worth keeping an eye on.

CONCLUSION :-Pathan has been in terrific form this season and should make a bold bid to complete his hattrick but Gnostic Eyes may be able to turn the tables on him. He did not seem to give his true running last time out finishing 5thabout 5 ¼ lengths behind conceding 4 kilos. He is now in receipt of 2 kilos so comes out slightly better at the weights and could very well reverse the form with A. Sandesh up.

Race No. 2 :- The Assessed Plate -Div. I – Class V – Distance :- 1000M

WHITEWALKER :- Speedy 3 year old gelding from the stable of Dallas Todywalla, he is winless in 7 starts so far but has begun to show a little improvement this season and has managed to place on his last 2 starts and now drops into class V company. He was runner up to Falconette in a weak 5 furlong maiden on his penultimate run and showed good speed to lead for a long way against better fancied owner mate Joplin last time out and kicked on to be 3rd with Sandeep Jadhav in the saddle. The switch back to P.S. Chouhan is a positive, this field looks to be a relatively weak one and in spite of being drawn very wide in Stall 13, he looks a strong contender to get off the mark and is short listed.

GOOD THING :- 5 year old mare trained by C. Rajendra who was very highly regarded in her early days when trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha but suffered some sort of a setback midway through her career, moved to C. Rajendra and has been working her way back into form since then. She has come down to a very handy mark now and has been working well and running with some promise in her last couple of starts. Overall a winner of 1of her 20 starts, she has run thrice this season, finishing 4th to Adam’s Beginning over 1200M on her penultimate run and last time out again over 1200M finished 5th to Scion but was in the firing line and only finished 2 lengths behind the winner. Dashrath Singh who rode her the last twice is now replaced by whipless apprentice M.Ayyar and dropped to the minimum trip she may attempt to win from end to end. Unreliable but capable if having her galloping shoes on.

BONAFIDE :- Well bred 3 year old filly from the Malesh Narredu yard who has not done much in her 3 runs so far but drops to the minimum trip and also into the lowest grade now and has the potential to improve after just 3 starts. Making her debut in Bangalore over a mile she ran poorly but showed she had learnt from that on her first run at this centre when ending up 3rd behind Bernice and Joplin over 1200M, both of whom have gone on to frank the form. However she ran very poorly over 1200M when tried in Class IV company, finishing down the field in a race won by her stable companion Enchanted. She has been rested and given time to improve since that run, is eased into the lower grade now and has promising apprentice A.S.Peter booked to ride, claiming 5kilos. She too is drawn wide in Stall 12 but may attempt to make all the running and is respected as potential improver.

FABERGE :- Unexposed and lightly raced 4 year old Excellent Art gelding from the yard of S. K. Sunderji, he has run 4 times so far, twice apiece over 1200 and 1600M and has finished well beaten on every occasion. He had one lung opener early in the season over a mile, has not raced since then and has been now dropped to the minimum trip. The 2 interesting points which make him worthy of consideration are that he has been working particularly encouragingly of late and has a good rider booked for the first time with S. Zervan booked to ride. He has a good draw in Stall 2 and can be involved if he has improved.

JULIANO :-Sparingly raced 5 year old gelding trained by S. S. Shah , who has won 1 of his 14 starts till date and does not seem to be completely straightforward but does have some ability when at his best. His win came on this track roughly a year ago over 1200M and he has come back down to his last winning mark after having had an indifferent Mumbai season. He has had just 1 start earlier this season back in August when finishing well down the field over this trip but K. Nazil is a positive jockey switch and he looks one of several who could score if running up to their best. He does look vulnerable against the younger horses but may manage to sneak into the frame
DANCE OF FIRE :-4 year old filly who is one of 4 runners for the Narendra Lagad yard and appears to be the most fancied judging from current form and from Jockey bookings. After a string of poor efforts, she hinted that her turn was finally coming on her penultimate run when finishing on strongly to be just outside the frame and confirmed that promise last time out with the same rider up when scoring an overdue maiden success narrowly over Dusky Siren. That run was over 1200M but she should not mind the drop to the minimum and has not been harshly penalized for the win. She comes into the race in good form and should try hard for a quick encore.

CONCLUSION :-The two 3 year olds Bonafide and Whitewalker should be able to tackle this bunch if they have found even slight improvement with the former, being more lightly raced getting the nod. Dance of Fire appears the best among the older horses and can repeat if the 3 year olds are off their game

Race No. 3 :- The Shamu Chavan Trophy – Div. I – Class IV & V – Distance :- 1200M

MOUNT OLYMPUS :-Front running 3 year old gelding from the stables of Narendra Lagad who has won 2 of his 7 runs so far including one earlier this season over 1400M off a mark of 36. Winner over this trip on his debut, he has run 4 times altogether this season, needing the first two runs to get fully fit but scored an upset win over 1400M on his penultimate start, leading all the way with Vishal Bunde in the saddle and comfortably beating Charles Bridge and Oriana. He was upped in grade and tried over a mile last time out but possibly found the trip too long or the opposition too tough and reverts to 6 furlongs today back down in this grade which seems much more suitable. Leading apprentice K. Nazil has been booked to ride, he looks in good form at present and although 1 ¼ lengths worse off with Charles Bridge on the last run, could try and make all and win again today.

CHARLES BRIDGE :- Very sparingly raced and well regarded 3 year old, he was an upset winner over an inadequate 1000M on his debut back in Mumbai, finishing on strongly from the rear to shock the odds on favourite Enchanted and score at 30/1. He was then steadily prepared for his reappearance here in Pune, given plenty of work and a Mock Race and was a warm favourite but probably needed the run ending up runner up to Mount Olympus who is 1 ¼ lengths worse off today. That run should have benefitted him immensely, so he should be much fitter and sharper today and stands an excellent chance of gaining revenge. Sandesh who rode him last time out, keeps the ride today and in spite of being drawn wide in Stall 14, he looks a leading fancy to return to winning ways.

GLORIANA :- Speedy 5 year old Phoenix Tower mare trained by Nazak Chenoy, she had been knocking on the door for quite a while now but finally managed to gain a long overdue maiden victory last time out, coming with a strong run to upset the favourite Furious N Fast and win decisively in the lower class. She has only been penalized 4 ½ kilos for the win which does not seem too steep and appears to have maintained her condition since the run. Santosh G the stable apprentice who rode her last time out is up again today and although she is taking on much tougher opposition and some promising youngsters, she has the scope to improve further and cannot be ignored.

LETHAL STEPS :- Speedy 3 year old filly who has done well in all her 4 starts so far and moved to Dallas Todywalla from Altaf Hussain after her first 3 runs, gaining her maiden victory last time out in his care. She has had 3 runs this season already, running a promising 2nd to Awesome One over 1400M on reappearance but then a bit disappointing next time out dropped to this trip when only 3rd to Pablo. However, the application of blinkers once moving to her new yard seemed to work wonders and she scored an emphatic success last time out, easily beating Articulate by 3 lengths. The horse who finished 3rdArrowfield was a fluent winner yesterday and Lethal Steps is bound to improve again. She has however been handed a stiff 6 ½ kilo penalty for the win and makes her handicap debut today with P. Trevor keeping the ride. She is likely to give a good account of herself again today and looks to be a live danger to Charles Bridge.

STEPPENWOLF :- 3 year old colt from the stable of upcoming trainer Shazaan Shah, he too has managed to win 1 of his 4 starts so far, showing good form in Mumbai but he had only one previous run on the Pune track over 2 ½ months ago where he finished well beaten behind Frieze. He may have needed that lung opener and he has been working well of late so looks to have improved but his Mumbai form is also modest and he may struggle to trouble the principals. He is entitled to need this run and may be a shade rusty but P.S. Chouhan has been riding well this season and he looks to have decent each way claims.

CONCLUSION :-The 3 year olds seem to hold a strong hand in this contest and the race should be fought out between Charles Bridge and Lethal Steps with the former appearing to have marginally the edge and likely to benefit and improve from his earlier run

Race No. 4 :- The Star Shine Plate – Maiden 3 Year Olds – Distance :- 1200M

BITCOIN :- One of two runners from the Narendra Lagad yard, he made his racing debut only this season and has already run 7 times over trips ranging from 5 to 7 furlongs with a couple of 4thplaced finishes to his name. He looks quite exposed and does not seem to be really progressing but C. Umesh is back to ride today after a couple of runs with an inexperienced apprentice the last twice so connections may be more serious today. The yard appears to have a stronger contender in Navigator but he could run into a place if showing some improvement and looks a rank outsider here.

NAVIGATOR :-Stable companion of Bitcoin who has run 6 times so far, also making his debut just this season and boasts slightly better form than his stable mate. He did finish a good 3rd to Oriana and Barbaresco on just his 2nd start over 1400M but has run some disappointing races since then and needs to bounce back. He was 5th to Stormy Atlantic just 2 weeks ago in a similar maiden and with J. Chinoy taking over in the saddle from S.A. Amit today, he looks another who could fight it out for minor honours but will struggle to trouble the principals.

OFFICER IN COMMAND :-Debutant gelding trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha who catches the eye on pedigree being a half brother to crack sprinter Gold Bag and looks an exciting sprinting prospect. He has moved well in his limited workouts so far but looks a shade underdone for his first run and may just be using this as an educative run. That being said, the booking of Dashrath Singh is a positive and he is taking on a relatively weak set. A paddock check is advised to ascertain his fitness and if looking well, does have the potential to win first time out.

ARABIA :-Another fashionably bred debutant from the powerful Pesi Shroff yard, this one sports an even better pedigree, being a full sister to the likes of Myrtlewood and Amelia and looks a quality prospect on paper. In contrast to Officer in Command, she appears to have been given enough track work to be fit and ready to go first time out although she has not been unduly stretched in her work so far and has the scope to improve plenty from this first run. S. Zervan takes the ride today, she has a good draw in Stall 2 and looks a strong fancy to make a winning debut en route to better things.

HIGHLAND LASS :- Began her career with Malesh Narredu but moved to Dallas Todywalla after her first start and has finished runner up in both her runs so far, showing modest form on both occasions. She was well beaten by Kilkarry Bridge on debut over this trip ending up a faraway 2nd and was strongly fancied pitted against Class V company last time out but was badly hampered by a riderless horse in the field which probably cost her in the end as she was narrowly beaten by Romantic Warrior. That run is probably best taken with a pinch of salt and she clearly sets the form standard out of those who have raced and is also the highest rated in the field. NeerajRawal takes the ride, she seems to have a fitness edge over her better bred rivals and may prove to be just too sharp today. The form pick.

CONCLUSION :-Arabia looks a quality performer in the making and although she does not appear to be fully wound up, her class may see her through today and she looks likely to make a winning debut. Highland Lass sets the form standard and is the next alternative if Arabia is not up to the mark while Officer In Command also has an interesting pedigree

Race No. 5 :- The Aquaguard Championship R.W.I.T.C. Ltd. Gold Cup (Grade 2) – Terms, 4 Years Old & Over – Distance :- 2000M

CAPRISCA :-Arguably the best performed horse in this field, enjoying the highest rating and also the only Classic winner, having scored a Glorious win in The Indian St. Leger last time out. Trained by ImtiazSait who saddles 4 of the 8 runners on display, he appears to the main hope of the stable and like last time, will be ridden by A. Sandesh. He was a facile winner over Winter Renaissance and Raees over this trip earlier in the season but ran a shocker in The Idar Gold Trophy over 2400M and one has to hope that run was an aberration. He looks to be in top form after his Leger win and in spite of conceding weight all around, clearly appears to be the one to beat.

B FIFTY TWO :-Now 6 years of age but already a proven Group Race performer, he returns from a quick visit to Mysore where he travelled to contest the Governor’s Cup, finishing 3rd behind Salazaar and Kangra. Overall a winner of 8 races including Multiple Group Races, he seems to be at his best when allowed to dictate in small field and may be taken on for the lead by Kambaku today. He also seems to reserve his best for the Mumbai track and has seemed a bit flat this season. He clearly is a potent force when at his best but may just set the race up for Caprisca today. Each way player with P. Trevor up.

KAMBAKU :-One of two out station raiders with very strong credentials, he is a solid front running stayer who was put in his place by Caprisca in the St. Leger but gets a handy pull in the weights today and will be suited by the much shorter trip. Winner of 5 of his 17 starts, the 4 year old trained by Arjun Mangalorkar has some good prior form to his name, scoring a fine win in The Governor’s Cup (Grade 3) on his penultimate run when beating the well regarded Dancing Dragon over 2400M. He may have needed that first run on the Pune track and should be the better for it but T.S. Jodha is not a very inspiring booking for a race of this stature. He is likely to give it a good go from the front again and cannot be ignored.

WATCHMYSCRIPT :-Consistent 5 year old mare trained by Irfan Ghatala, she has finished in the first two in 12 of her 20 starts till date, winning on 7 occasions. She has usually been chasing home Lady In Lace in mile contests back in Bangalore but took advantage of the latter’s drop in form to earn herself some valuable Black Type when romping home in The Fillies & Mares Stakes last time out over 1800M on this track. She will no doubt face more competition from the Colts but appears to be in fine fettle at present and P.S. Chouhan looks a good alternative to A. Sandesh who jumps aboard Caprisca. The additional furlong is unlikely to trouble her and she is expected to run a very big race and is capable of causing an upset.

AUBURN :- Strong galloping 4 year old trained by Vishal Gaikwad who possesses a smart turn of foot but seems to have just gone a little flat in her last 2 runs and needs to bounce back. She began the season in rousing form with a stylish win over Selfie Star in a mile and also ran an excellent race against the Colts when a close 4th to Cambridge over a mile. However, she was well beaten by Watchmyscript last time out over 1800M and will need to find some improvement to reverse the form although she is now better suited by the Terms. She will be ridden by S. Zervanagain today, comes into this off a low weight and if able to find some improvement, she can spring a surprise.

CONCLUSION :-Caprisca looks likely to continue his recent good form and is selected to add another feather to his cap but he faces a danger in Kambakuwho boasts a good level of form and could prove to be harder to peg back over this shorter trip and at the weight difference. The two fillies Watchmyscript and Auburn could add further pep to the finish

Race No. 6 :- The Party Whip Plate – Maiden 3 Year Olds – Distance :- 1400M

ARTICULATE :- Trained by Adhirajsingh Jodha, this son of Excellent Art made a promising debut over 1200M about a month ago, finishing runner up to Lethal Steps who competes earlier in the card and himself well clear of the rest and is bound to have learnt from that debut run and improved. The additional furlong is likely to be to his advantage and he enjoys the highest rating in this field. He is a half brother to Gallant Knight, Justice Angel and Striking View, is expected to build on his last effort and with A. Sandesh replacing C.S. Jodha in the saddle, looks a leading contender to go one better today.

JETFIRE :- Son of Total Gallery trained by M.K. Jadhav, he keeps finding one too good this season and has developed into the eternal bridesmaid finishing runner up in his first three starts this season and ending up 3rd when dropped down to 6 furlongs last time out. He has been running consistently well without really improving but is bound to earn a bracket before too long and the return to 1400M will suit. T.S. Jodha who has ridden him most of the season is up again today, he definitely runs with a strong each way chance and could win this if he manages to break the second it is bug.

MEDICI :-Trained by S.K. Sunderji, this half brother to Mandrake trained by S.K. Sunderji is relatively unexposed and is returning from a short break, having had only one prior run this season. He has run 3 times in total, showing decent form on his 2 runs in Mumbai, finishing 4th to Riquewihr over 1000M on debut and following that up with a decent 3rd to Mount Olympus over this trip. He was tried over 9 furlongs right in the beginning of this season but ran poorly and was rested and given time to improve, now returning from a 3 month break. His recent track work has been satisfactory, P. Trevor who rode last time out takes the ride again and if suited by the drop to this trip, he looks to have an each way chance.

SACRED ROMAN :-Highly regarded youngster from the Pesi Shroff yard who made his debut in the Bangalore Summer and was sent off favourite over a mile but ended up last of 4 to Desperado. He is sure to have improved and stripped fitter for that run and this opposition looks far less threatening so he is likely to have a big chance. He has been working very well since that run, will have the services of S. Zervan in the saddle today and with the yard’s youngsters invariably improving a great deal for the run, he looks a strong contender.

FLAMING MARTINI :- Well bred filly from the in form Dallas Todywalla yard who made a decent debut over 1200M earlier in the season, hampered at a crucial stage and running quite green but still ending up a respectable 3rd to Improvisso. She too is likely to improve substantially for that run and the additional furlong is sure to suit her. Her trackwork before and after the run has been arguably the best among this lot and she looks a leading contender to make amends for her debut failure and is strongly fancied to score.

CONCLUSION  :-Flaming Martinilooked green and inexperienced on debut and is selected to make amends with the benefit of experience. Sacred Roman, who made his debut against way stronger opposition looks a very live danger while Articulate should also progress and is respected

Race No. 7 :- The Shamu Chavan Trophy – Div. II – Class IV & V – Distance :- 1200M

DESERT PRIDE :- Strongly built and classy looking daughter of Strong Suit trained by Altaf Hussain  who was a highly impressive maiden winner last season over 1000M, scoring a fluent win on debut but must have encountered a set back after that and returns to the track after exactly a year off. She is no doubt a quality individual and has been working extremely well in the build up to her overdue return but is likely to need this run after such a long break. She has to concede weight all around and will most likely need the run but created a very good impression last year and must still be feared and respected with P. Trevor in the saddle.

ADELE :-5 year old mare trained by Nazak Chenoy, who has run 12 times so far but seems to have really come to hand this season and has run superbly both starts this term. She scored her maiden victory on her reappearance over 1000M easily beating Romantic Warrior who went on to frank the form and then finished an excellent close 2nd to Nextstar last time out. The extra furlong is unlikely to trouble her and she seems to have maintained her form and fitness since the run. However, the switch from P. Trevor to Santosh G is a slight negative but she seems to be progressing nicely with her racing now and looks to have a good each way shout.

BRAVE :- 5 year old gelding trained by Narendra Lagad who had been fancied on a number of occasions without success but finally came good last time out when unfancied to score a fluent maiden victory over 1000M in the lower grade, beating Komodo Dragon convincingly with the same rider up. He will no doubt gain confidence from that victory and has only been handed a 4 ½ kilo penalty for the run but now takes on younger horses with that win coming in older company. He has gone very close over this trip earlier in the season so seems to stay it well and with Dashrath Singh up again, he should make a bold bid to repeat.

FLAMMEUS :- Well bred and improving 3 year old filly trained by Hosidar Daji, she has run thrice so far this season and 4 times overall and after running indifferently on her first two starts over middle distances, showed a penchant for the drop to sprinting when scoring an authoritative end to end success over this trip last time out, beating subsequent winner Royston Rock by 2 lengths with Optimum back in 4th that day. She has to find further improvement to confirm the form with Optimum under her 4 ½ kilo penalty but is open to further improvement and has been working very well since the run. K. Nazil who rode her last time out keeps the ride again, she looks to have improved further and should make a bold bid to repeat and continue her progression.

OPTIMUM :-4 year old gelding who comes from the stables of Shazaan Shah and is still a maiden after 15 starts but does not seem to have given off his best just yet. After coming down substantially in the scales, he has been running suggestively in his last few starts finishing runner up on a couple of occasions and again did not appear to be overly serious when finishing a leisurely 4th to Flammeus last time out. He looks to be neatly handicapped at present, is very closely matched with Flammeus under her winner’s penalty and although he has less scope to improve than the filly, he looks a serious contender today if in a galloping mood with P.S. Chouhan in the saddle.

CONCLUSION :-Flammeus and Optimum are closely matched on their last run and are expected to lock horns again with a slight edge to the younger horse. Desert Pride, in spite of returning from an extended absence, looks a classy prospect and is also feared

Race No. 8 :- The Assessed Plate – Div. II – Class V – Distance :- 1000M

SILVER CAP :-Formerly known as Shakin Stevens, this 4 year old gelding from the Imtiaz Sait yard has flattered to deceive on a number of occasions in the past and is still a maiden after 11 starts. However, has shown some improvement in his 3 runs this season and has been working well throughout. He nearly pulled off an upset win on his reappearance before weakening to finish a close 3rd to Eternal Dancer over 1200M and after running a poor race next time out with a better rider, returned from a short break last time out to again finish a decent 3rd to Royston Rock. He appears to have early speed so is worth trying over the minimum trip and with Akshay Kumar now taking over in the saddle from A.S. Peter, maybe a change in name will bring about a change of luck.

BOHEMIAN :- Aged but speedy 5 year old mare trained by H.J. Antia who has an unenviable overall win record but should relish the short Pune straight and seems to just be coming to hand. After 2 indifferent efforts earlier in the season, she gave signs that she was coming back to form last time out when running a forward race and kicking on to finish 4th to Kilkarry Bridge over 1200M and will be suited by the drop in trip as also the drop in grade. She has bagged a good draw in Stall No. 2, D.R. Shubham claims a valuable 5 kilos in the saddle and if building on that last effort, she should try and score from end to end in this weak field.

FIRE FLAME :-Well bred 3 year old filly trained by Narendra Lagad who is an 11 race maiden but has come down significantly in the weights as a result and is starting to look quite well handicapped now. She has managed a 2nd placed finish over this trip back in Mumbai and after 4 runs this season, hinted that she was coming to hand last time out when finishing a close 4th over 1200M to Royston Rock, just behind Silver Cap. She looks to be working quite well at present, J. Chinoy now takes over in the saddle from S.A. Amit and she looks open to further improvement still and is a strong each way player in this company.

ARC OF PASSION :- 5 year old mare trained by S.N. Joshi, she has managed to win just 1 of her 27 runs so far so her overall profile is unreliable but she was running well over this trip earlier in the season, just failing to catch Furiosa over this trip a couple of starts ago. She was given two runs in September to further bring her mark down but has been working well of late and C. Umesh has been booked to ride today. She looks likely to battle it out for minor honours and make the finish interesting but the percentage call is to oppose her from a win perspective.

CONCLUSION :-A poor contest to bring the season to an end and probably best to just cheer from the stands. Silver Cap is a tentative selection.
