Aapro Cyrus Poonawalla is literally going places these days, with his horses of course. After celebrating Kenhope’s victory in France recently, Poonawalla raised a toast to his expensive filly after she delighted a feisty German crowd with her talent at Dusseldorf on Sunday.
Just a day earlier, Poonawalla missed a record of sorts when another property of his, Gordon Lord Byron, lost by the proverbial whisker in Ireland though ridden by Epsom Derby winning jockey Joseph O’Brien.
What added to Poonawalla’s weekend joy was his close pal Jamshed Appoo’s syndicate horse Glenard’s triumph at the prestigious York Ebor Festival in England.
