The acquisition race for Sahara Group's Grosvenor House Hotel is still open, and Cyrus Poonawalla, who is bidding for this iconic London property against the Sultan of Brunei and Qatar's royal family, has his hopes high.
Perhaps it comes from having developed the winning habit.
Last Friday, Poonawalla tasted success on the Deauville racetrack in France with his filly Kenhope. The vacine billionaire had paid a whoping Rs 10 crore for this filly at an auction in Paris last October, outbidding a bunch of international buyers. With his horses having already won races in England and Ireland, the horse breeder is set to conquer French race courses as well.
