Christmas Fest and Racing Carnival brings in record numbers
The Indo German sponsored Christmas Fest and Racing Carnival is only getting bigger and better every year.
A record attendance of 11,656 at Mumbai/ Pune would have done a Classic day proud. The lawns at Mahalaxmi were filled with young and old who made merry with a Christmas feel- albeit a few weeks early!
The sounds of the brass band during the races was particularly delightful. The presentation of two giant sized beer bottles for the IGCC Christmas Trophy added a special touch. And individual representatives of each of the presenting associates of the Chamber who were on the dais after each race, gave the day a special feel.
The Fest area was packed with families who thronged the area to enjoy a carnival with beer, wine, German food, games, stalls and live entertainment- topped off by the thrill of horse racing across the members' lawns.
The Four Seasons Hotel added their mite with a trophy and presentation of champagne to the winning owners.
That most went back heady after a fabulous event of fun and sport, was only understandable!
