RACE NO 1 (27) - THE ALOUETTE PLATE (About) 1800 Metres. Runners - 4
App.P.Trevor (STARDOM BOUND) was observed to have dropped his hands before the winning post thereby losing 2nd Place. The matter was reported to the Stewards, consideration of which was deferred to the next meeting of the Stewards.
Jockey J.Pradeep (PERFECT STRENGTH) has been fined Rs.1000/- for wearing an unapproved Safety Vest.
LIGHTNING CAVALRY (Neeraj Rawal) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
After the race, STARDOM BOUND and LIGHTNING CAVALRY were found to be sound.
RACE NO 2 (28) - THE EVERYTHING PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres. Runners - 6
CAVALRYMAN (App.A.Sandesh) lost a length at the start.
After the race, STAR GLORY and TYSEA were found to be sound.
RACE NO 3 (29) - THE ZAHRA PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 7
Soon after the start, SALT (S.Sunil) shifted in and carried SNOW BLAZE (C.Rajendra) inwards, who in turn hampered the running of MOUNTAIN WIND (Suraj Narredu). Jockey S.Sunil has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
SNOW BLAZE (C.Rajendra) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.
After the race, SNOW BLAZE was observed to have bruise in the right nostril.
RACE NO 4 (30) - THE TOBLER PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 9
TITIAN (Malcolm Kharadi) lost 2 lengths at the start.
At the start, DOVERS HILL (C,Rajendra, dr.9) shifted in and caused OCEAN EMPEROR (Suraj Narredu, dr.8) to shift in and at the same time STERLING SILVER (Akash Agarwal, dr.7) shifted out and made contact with OCEAN EMPEROR. Traveling some distance further, DOVERS HILL (C.Rajendra) cut across the field before the Red Marker and later hampered the running of MOUNTAIN LION (T.Atul). Jockey C.Rajendra has been fined Rs.5000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.
OCEAN EMPEROR (Suraj Narredu) lugged-in in the straight and in the process inconvenienced STARSEEKER (Y.S.Srinath) who was steadied. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.
In the concluding stages of the race, STERLING SILVER (Akash Agarwal) shifted out and made contact with STARSEEKER (Y.S.Srinath). Jockey Akash Agarwal has been cautioned.
SEA DIAMOND (J.Chinoy) was pulled up near 200 metres AS THE Jockey found his mount uncomfortable.
Sr. VO reported that SEA DIAMOND who was pulled up near 200 metres examined on the Tracks as the Jockey reported that the horse was uncomfortable from the hind legs. The horse was given first aid treatment and removed to the Equine Hospital and was reported to be sore by left hind leg and observed to have swelling on the cannon of that leg. The mare has to be passed fit to race by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
After the race, OCEAN EMPEROR was found to be sound. MOUNTAIN LION had lost its left fore plate.
RACE NO 5 (31) - THE CHAKORI TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres. Runners – 7
The explanation of Jockey R.Rupesh (HIGHLAND CROWN) that his mount was not coming on to the bit and was sluggish to begin, was noted.
Jockey Saddam Iqbal (MR GREEDY) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.
RACE NO 6 (32) - THE TRIBUTE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners – 12
At the request of Trainer Amjad Khan, MYSTIC TEMPLE was examined at 0720 hours on 28/07/2011 and was found to be sore by the left hind leg. As such, the mare was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn from the race on veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, STAR OF VENUS was found to have a gum injury. INCOGNITO had an abrasion on the left hind fetlock. SEA BUCANEER was found to be sound.
RACE NO 7 (33) - THE WIGGLES PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners – 12
At the request of Trainer Vijay Kasbekar, SABANERO was examined at 1020 hours on 27/07/2011 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn from the race on veterinary grounds. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
MATILDA (App.M.A.Roushan) was restless in the stall. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
Jockey P.S.Chouhan replaced Jockey Dashrath Singh who had a fall yesterday. Later, it was informed that Jockey P.S.Chouhan had a medical emergency in the family and therefore he would not be able to fulfill his riding engagement, hence a change of Rider was effected on AURARIA to Jockey A Sandesh.
The Clerk of the Scales reported that Jockey Akash Agarwal (VOICES OF ANGELS) weighed out 3.5 kg over the published weight. An enquiry was held by the Stipendiary Stewards since there was no written permission sought by Trainer Narendra Lagad to carry an overweight. After enquiring, Jockey Akash Agarwal was fined Rs.3000/- for not confirming the weight at which he would ride VOICES OF ANGELS. The Jockey was permitted to ride as the Trainer was agreeable for his charge to carry an overweight of 3.5 kg.
At the start, STAR LADY (R.Shelar) jumped out awkwardly and did not raise an effective gallop.
Jockey Shrikant Kamble (WATCH OUT) reported loss of whip near 400 metres.
MATILDA (App.M.A.Roushan) did not get a clear run in the straight.
After the race, STAR LADY was found to be sound, having bruises on the right hind pastern. MATILDA had a cut injury on the right hind pastern. AURARIA had a cut injury on the left hind coronet.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st and 7th race viz. DEEP PURPLE and TUDOR REGENT and the special sample of STARDOM BOUND (1st race), OCEAN STORM (4th race), ANGELS PURSUIT & OCEAN LEGACY (6th race) and OCEAN WARRIOR (7th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
