RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED 6 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES TO 1200 METRES, 8 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES, 10 METRES AWAY AT 800 METRES AND THEREAFTER 12 METRES AWAY  UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF ABOUT 4 METRES FROM 1300 METRES UP TO 1000 METRES.

On a request from Trainer Shyam S.Habbu, permission was granted to Trainer P.Shroff to saddle his charge MICHELE MARIECI in the 10th race, at his (Trainer Shyam S.Habbu’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer S.S.Shah, permission was granted to his Assistant Trainer Roxanne Rustomji to saddle his charge HICKORY in the 3rd race, at his (Trainer S.S.Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (162) – THE  CONGRATULATIONS PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres, Runners – 4

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (HONEY BEE) has been fined Rs.1000/- for coming late into the Paddock.

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (HONEY BEE) reported that his mount was inclined to lug out throughout the race and near 300 metres, lugged out further and inconvenienced GAURI (CS Jodha). Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

In the final 200 metres, GAURI (C.S.Jodha) lugged and shifted inwards. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, HONEY BEE & OUR LITTLE ANGEL were found to be sound. HONEY BEE was observed to have lost its right fore plate and OUR LITTLE ANGEL had a cut injury on the tongue and lower lip, right side.

 

RACE NO.2 (163) – THE ALLAIRE PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres, Runners – 8

 

After the race, it was found that the right rein on FLYING SPIRIT was fastened in the ring of the Basket bit, instead of the bit ring due to which Jockey Zameer Sayyed could not have control over his mount. As such, Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been fined Rs.2000/-for improper application of the equipment. Further, Jockey Zameer Sayyed has been cautioned for failing to ensure proper application of the equipment on his mount.

EMERALD QUEEN (Akash Agarwal) and FLYING SPIRIT (Zameer Sayyed) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race EMERALD QUEEN. No action was initiated in respect of FLYING SPIRIT since action has been taken against the Trainer for improper application of the equipment.

 

An enquiry has been initiated into the running and riding of ARABIAN POWER and a report will be submitted shortly.  

After the race WATCH OUT was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, FLYING SPIRIT and EMERALD QUEEN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (164)  – THE  ALLAIRE PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metrrs, Runners - 9

 

App.A.Sandesh (FANTASTIC) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

NATURELLE (Akash Agarwal) kept an erratic course in the straight. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey D.S.Rathore (HANNAH MONTANA) has been fined Rs.1000/- for allowing his mount to shift out under the use of the whip in the final 200 metres.

After the race, HICKORY & NATURELLE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (165)  – THE  GENERAL OBAIDULLAH KHAN TROPHY:(About) 2400 Mts - Runners – 4

 

Approaching 400 metres, FIRE VAULT (Dashrath Singh) shifted in and hampered the running of LIVING THE DREAM (Imran Chisty). Jockey Dashrath Singh has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey R.Hughes (SEA SHOWER) reported that he lost his rein near 300 metres which he regained shortly.

DOI MOI (Neeraj Rawal) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, SEA SHOWER was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (166) – THE ESTONIA PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres, Runners- 14

 

MASTER CRAFT (Amyn Merchant) and UPROAR (App.A.Sandesh) were reluctant to be stalled.  THIS IS IT (App.M.A.Roushan) lost about 4 lengths at the start. Trainers Asad Siddiqui, Rehanullah Khan and Mansoor Shah have been asked to give their respective charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

OCEAN PRINCESS (S.Shinde) lost 2 lengths at the start.

 

Jockeys Imran Chisty (RHYTHM DIVINE) and Amyn Merchant (MASTER CRAFT) have been fined Rs.1000/- each, for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Near 800 metres, OCEAN GIRL (R.Hughes) shifted in due to which MASTER CRAFT (Amyn Merchant) shifted in and in turn hampered the running of ATLANTIC STAR (N.G.McCullagh). Jockey R.Hughes has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Near 600 metres, MASTER CRAFT (Amyn Merchant) shifted out to avoid the heels of OCEAN GIRL (R.Hughes) who had shifted in, and went out on to MISTRAL (Dashrath Singh) who made contact with EMERALD VALLEY (Paul Mulrennan). 

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (MISTRAL) reported that his mount lugged-in in the straight. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race MASTER CRAFT was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, ATLANTIC STAR was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (167) – THE MOUNT EVEREST TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres, Runners – 8

 

Trainer Altamaash Ahmed has been fined Rs.1000/- for accepting with his charge STATE HERITAGE without obtaining the Starting Stall Certificate. The horse was struck out from the race.

 

Near  600 metres, COOL CAT (C.Rajendra) shifted in due to which SILKEN QUEEN (A.M.Tograllu) clipped the hind heels of COOL CAT and stumbled. Jockey C.Rajendra has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

AFSOON (S.A.De Sousa) lugged in during the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. 

 

After the race, COOL CAT, SILKEN QUEEN & MOUNAIN FAIRY were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (168)  – THE  MOUNT EVEREST TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Mts,Runners - 9

 

ADAMS VISION (C.S.Jodha) raced keenly in the early part of the race and near 500 metres despite the effort of the Jockey, shifted on the inside of CHIEF RULER (A.M.Tograllu) and caused the latter to shift out. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

RACE NO.8 (169) – THE  PLEASURE HUNT PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres -  Runners - 11

 

ARABIAN ROCK (T.S.Jodha) fly jumped out of the Gates.

 

TELSTAR (V.Chandrakant) lugged in during the race and inconvenienced ADALLIA (Imran Chisty) on a couple of occasions in the early part of the race. Trainer Nana Raghunath has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

GREEN SIGNAL (N.G.McCullagh) lugged in during the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

Jockeys Paul Mulrennan (GATRAVAT) and C.S.Jodha (KITE RUNNER) have been fined Rs.1000/- each for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on their respective mounts.

 

After the race, GREEN SIGNAL was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9 (170) – THE  TWIN STAR PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres -  Runners - 12

 

SMOKIN ACES (S.A.De Sousa) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

POLARISER (R.Rupesh) and CLASSIC  STAR (J.Chinoy) were slow in the strides, losing about 3 lengths each at the start.

CALL TO ARMS (App.A.Sandesh) jumped out awkwardly towards the inside and went on to RED TABASCO (Dashrath Singh).

 

Approaching 600 metres, ALWAYS SMILE (Imran Chisty) shifted in and went on to FEONA  (C.S.Jodha) who in turn shifted in and caused interference to CALL TO ARMS (App.A.Sandesh) who lost position and to regain his balance, shifted out and carried POLARISER (R.Rupesh) outwards, who in turn caused RED TABASCO (Dashrath Singh) to travel wider. Also, due to CALL TO ARMS shifting out, HUNTER BAY (Malcolm Kharadi), who was racing on the outside of CALL TO ARMS, was forced to shift out and in turn carried HAMMERHEAD (App.M.A.Roushan) outwards. Jockey Imran Chisty has been fined Rs.5000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race FEONA was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ALWAYS SMILE & RED TABASCO were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.10 (171) – THE  ESTONIA PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres -  Runners - 14

 

At the start, GUNS N ROSES (N.G.McCullagh, dr.8)  jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to MICHELE MARIECI (Malcolm Kharadi, dr.9). SCINTILLATING STAR (Akash Agarwal, dr.4) jumped out awkwardly and went on to C’EST LA VIE (Dashrath Singh, dr.3).

 

CAPTAIN SMART (Zameer Sayyed) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

After the race, SCINTILLATING STAR was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the mare is not to race for the stipulated period of 8 weeks. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

EMERALD QUEEN, FANTASTIC, GREATNESS & GATRAVAT and the special sample of WATCH OUT (2nd race), ATLANTIC STAR, MISTRAL, OCEAN OF FAITH & MASTER CRAFT (5th race), PRIDE OF THE HILLS & MOUNTAIN FAIRY (6th race), BE COOL & SWAGGER (7th race), FEONA (9th race) and HIGHLAND WARRIOR, HIGHLAND VISION & SCINTILLATING STAR (10th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
