RACE DAY REPORTS

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES WIDE FROM 2400 METRES TO 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 6 METRES WIDE TILL THE WINNING POST. FALSE RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 6 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TO 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1 (158) THE PREMIER COLLECTION PLATE : (About) 2400 Metres. Runners – 7 

 

Jockey Neeraj Rawal (MONK’S FERRARI) reported that his mount was inclined to run out soon on entering the straight. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

TINTORETTO (S.Zervan) lugged out while negotiating the bend. Trainer Vinayak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, STAR INVITATION was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind pastern and a cut injury on the left hind bulb of heel. TINTORETTO was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (159) THE  AMAZING BAY TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres. Runners - 5 

 

SALTORO (Imran Chisty) jumped out slow, losing about 3 lengths at the start. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in an earlier run this season, Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, PEPE JUNIOR (Ikram Khan) and SALTORO (Imran Chisty) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and tried to swerve outwards, thereby were slow to begin. Trainer Rehanullah Khan and Faisal A.Abbas have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charges before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SALTORO was found to be sound, having an abrasion on the right hind fetlock and SWAHILI was observed to have lost its left fore plate.

 

RACE NO.3 (160) THE SO PERFECT PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 5

 

At the request of Trainer Faisal A.Abbas, LAGO MEDIO was examined at 1010 hours on 19/09/2010 and found to have a cut injury on the right hind fetlock. As such, the gelding was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds.

 

At the request of Trainer Rehanullah Khan, SOOPHIE was examined at 0800 hours on 19/09/2010 and was found to have painful swelling on the right hind fetlock and was sore by that limb as such the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

NEFYN was not presented at the Horse Weighing Scale before the race. Trainer Bezan Chenoy explained that the gelding becomes very factitious near the Weighing Scale and he be allowed not to weigh keeping in mind the safety of the horse. 

 

Jockey T.Atul (HIGHLAND MUSIC) reported that his goggles came off and fell on the ground soon after the start.

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that after passing the winning post, SEMPER EADEM suddenly stopped galloping. On examination, the filly was found to be going short from the left fore leg. The filly was sent to the Equine Hospital in Horse Ambulance for further investigation. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

  

RACE NO.4 (161) THE GLENSANDA PLATE :  (About) 1800 Metres. Runners - 8  

 

After the race, RAIN FOREST was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ADAMS PRINCE & ZILLIONAIRE were found to be sound. STUNNING THUNDER was observed to have lost its left hind plate.

 

RACE NO 5. (162) THE  YANA TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres. Runners - 9 

 

At the request of Trainer Hosidar Daji, FLYING JEWEL was examined at 0745 hours on 18/09/2010 and was found to be sore by the left fore fetlock and had a swelling on that limb as such the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, STAR TREASURE (C Rajendra) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to CONFISERIE (App.P.Trevor).

 

Soon after the start, TOMMY CARMICHAEL (App.Kavraj Singh) lugged in and near 1200 metres, shifted in despite Jockey’s effort and went on to GAMBA (Imran Chisty) who in turn went in and tightened STAR TREASURE (C.Rajendra) and travelling some distance further, TOMMY CARMICHAEL again tightened GAMBA who lost position and hampered the running of STAR TREASURE, who, while being steadied, inconvenienced CONFISERIE. Trainer Nana Raghunath has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race his charge TOMMY CARMICHAEL.

 

While negotiating the bend, STAR TREASURE (C.Rajendra) was tightened for room while racing on the inside of SAFFRON (Amyn Merchant) and was steadied.

 

After the race, SAFFRON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, STAR TREASURE was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, BARBARA was observed to have lost its right hind plate. GAMBA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (163) THE  PIAGGIO APEMINI SPRINT MILLION: About) 1200 Metres.  Runners -11 

 

In view of the fractious behavior of his charge STAR OF KILLARNEY inside the Saddling Stall on the previous occasion and on a request from Trainer Adil Dajee, permission was granted to him to saddle his charge outside the Saddling Enclosure under the Supervision of the Club’s Official.

 

At the start, PALAZZO GRAZIOLI (S.Zervan) jumped out awkwardly and was slow to begin.

 

At the start, VENUS ROSEWATER (Neeraj Rawal) jumped towards the outside and while being steadied, shifted in and hampered the running of ANDROMACHE (Amyn Merchant). Jockey Neeraj Rawal has been asked to be more careful.

 

Near 1000 metres, ILLUSTRIOUS (N.S.Parmar) shifted in and hampered the running of OCEAN EMPEROR (C.Rajendra). Jockey N.S.Parmar has been cautioned for shifting ground.

 

While straightening for home, PALLAZO GRAZIOLI (S.Zervan) shifted out to progress in the race and in doing so, caused ANGELS PURSUIT (A.Imran Khan) to shift out, who was awkwardly placed behind the heels of ILLUSTRIOUS (N.S.Parmar) and steadied. Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned for shifting ground.

 

Jockey Vikram Jodha (ROYAL HIGHNESS) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift in approaching 200 metres, whereby OCEAN EMPEROR (C.Rajendra) was tightened for room.

 

An Objection was lodged by Jockey Vikram Jodha, Rider of ROYAL HIGHNESS, Placed 4th against Jockey Dashrath Singh, the rider of KHURSANIYAH, Placed 3rd. The reason being, in the last 100 metres, KHURSANIYAH (Dashrath Singh) came on to him, due to which he had to stop riding and this cost him the third race. After considering the submissions made by the Jockeys concerned, in conjunction with that of the Racing Advisor and the Stipendiary Stewards and relying on their judgment, the Stewards decided to overrule the Objection. 

The Stewards interviewed Jockey Dashrath Singh in the above connection and having heard him, decided to caution him for making insufficient effort to control the inward movement of his mount.   

 

KHURSANIYAH (Dashrath Singh) hung-in in the final 200 metres. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, STAR OF KILLARNEY, ANGELS PURSUIT, VIVA LA DIVA & KHURSANIYAH were found to be sound.

 

VENUS ROSEWATER (Neeraj Rawal) was placed fifth and ANGELS PURSUIT (A.Imran Khan) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.7 (164) THE  CONSEQUENCE PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 10 

 

POLARISER (D.S.Rathore) was slowly out, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, HIGHLAND VISION (App.P.Trevor) lugged out and went on to SWEPT AWAY (App.D.Akkshay) who had to be checked by its rider.

 

Soon after the start, SEA QUEEN (R.Shelar) shifted out and caused a chain reaction, wherein BLUMARINE (Imran Chisty) & BLAZING SPECTACLE (A.M.Tograllu) were forced to shift out and tightened HIGHLAND VISION (App.P.Trevor) on to ADAMS LAW (C.S.Jodha), who shifted out and made contact with CRÈME DE LA CRÈME (Dashrath Singh) and ROYAL GESTURE (Ishwar Pardeshi). Jockey R.Shelar has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

RACE NO.8 (165) THE  CAPITULATE PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 8 

 

Jockey D.S.Rathore (MASTER CRAFT) has been cautioned for failing to continue making an effort till past the Post.  

 

After the race, RODRIGO, ABERDOVEY & MASTER CRAFT were found to be sound. ABERDOVEY was observed to have an abrasion on the right hind fetlock, MASTER CRAFT had a cut injury on the left hind fetlock and coronet and GLORIA had an abrasion on the left hind canon.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 5th and 6th race viz. MONKS FERRARI, CONFISERIE & PALAZZO GRAZIOLI as also that of OCEAN WISH & KHURSANIYAH (6th race) and the special sample of RAIN FOREST (4th race), SAFFRON & STAR TREASURE (5th race) and RODRIGO & ABERDOVEY (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
