RACE DAY REPORTS

 

RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES TO 1200 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF ABOUT 3 METRES FROM 1300 METRES UP TO 1000 METRES.

On a request from Trainer Janardhan, permission was granted to Trainer Vinayak to saddle his charge BIG TIME GIRL in the 4th race, at his (Trainer Janardhan’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer Zadmal Singh, permission was granted to Trainer Subhag Singh to saddle his charge AMOURESQUE in the 5th race, at his (Trainer Zadmal Singh’s) risk and responsibility.

 

On a request from Trainer C.D.Katrak, permission was granted to Trainer Adil Dajee to saddle his charges STAR ZONE (4th race), STAR GLORY (6th race) and PURPLE MOON & SECRETIVE (8th race), at his (Trainer C.D.Katrak’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (265) – THE  SPANIARDS INN PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres, Runners–8

 

Relying on a report from the Sr.V.O. that ON MY WAY was declared with Aluminium plates but on examination was found to have Both Fore Aluminium, Hind Bare, Trainer Nina M.Lalvani has been fined Rs.2000/- for declaring incorrect shoeing.

 

GREEN SIGNAL (App.A.Sandesh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

App.M.A.Roushan (ADMIRALS QUEST) has been cautioned for shifting out in the last 100 metres whereby BRILLIANT MOON (C.Rajendra) was inconvenienced and steadied.

 

After the race, PREMIER CONNECTION was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (266) –THE  ROYAL DEEDS PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres, Runners–11

 

Soon after the start, TOWERING HIGH (App.Kavraj Singh) lugged in and shifted ground. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

Soon after the start, ROSES ALL THE WAY (P.S.Chouhan) was steadied as HICKORY (Nitin Singh) shifted in. Jockey Nitin Singh has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

SUPREME LADY (J.E.Pereira) lugged out, GEISHA (Aadesh Kumar) hung out, TALENTED (Kishore Kadam) lugged-in and WATCH OUT (App.P.Trevor) lugged out in the straight. Trainers Adil Dajee, Dallas Todywalla, H.J.Antia and Narendra Lagad have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race.   

 

After the race, SUPREME LADY and GEISHA were found to be sound. TOWERING HIGH had an abrasion above the right hock.

 

RACE NO.3 (267) – THE SUPER BRAVE TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres, Runners – 4

 

COSMOPOLITAN (App.M.A.Roushan) lost about 3 lengths at the start.

 

After the race, COSMOPOLITAN was observed to have an abrasion at the left fore and right hind fetlocks.

 

RACE NO.4 (268)  – THE  ROYAL DEEDS PLATE (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres, Runners - 12

 

SUN KISSED (App.M.A.Roushan) played up in the stall. The filly was examined by the Club’s V.O. who certified her fit to race. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

After a slow start, HANNAH MONTANA (Dashrath Singh) did not raise an effective gallop and lost ground.

 

At the start, BIG TIME GIRL (P.S.Chouhan) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to SIZZLING LOVE (Amyn Merchant) who in turn jostled with WINCHESTER (C.Rajendra) who was awkwardly placed behind the heels of BONNY LIGHT (Daniel Bast) who himself had shifted inwards. Thereafter, WINCHESTER shifted in as its rider took evasive action and shifted in and carried SIZZLING LOVE inwards.

Approaching 800 metres, SIZZLING LOVE (Amyn Merchant) was again inconvenienced while racing on the inside of GOLDEN KINGDOM (R.Shelar).

 

The saddle on NOU CAMP (App.A.Sandesh) slipped back during the race, as such, Trainer Altaf Hussain has been fined Rs.5000/- for faulty saddling of his charge, this being the second time during the Racing Season.

 

Jockey R.Biramne (STAR ZONE) has been cautioned for not being vigorous in his riding effort in the straight.

 

After the race, STYLISH STROKES, SUN KISSED & NOU CAMP were found to be sound. STYLISH STROKES had a cut injury at right hind inside hock and SUN KISSED had a bruise at the left stifle.

 

RACE NO.5 (269)  – THE  KAILASHPAT SINGHANIA TROPHY:  (About) 1200 Metres - Runners –6

 

At the start, HIGHLAND FLAME (D.K.Ashish) jumped out awkwardly thereby losing ground.

 

HIGHLAND FLAME (D.K.Ashish) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer S.K.Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare. 

 

Trainer Vinayak was questioned regarding the performance of his charge STAR OF ROSES. He stated that he had instructed the Jockey to be well up and the Jockey has followed the instructions and ridden out the horse. He said that before the race he had thought STAR OF ROSES was a good horse and had expected him to run well but the horse has performed poorly and in his opinion he was an ordinary horse. The explanation tendered was noted.

 

RACE NO.6 (270) – THE ACT IN TIME PLATE (DIV.II): (About) 1200 Metres, Runners- 16

 

Jockey T.S.Jodha (LORD OF KILLARNEY) has been fined Rs. 1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

After the race, FLAMENCA was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (271)  – THE DUBINUSHKA PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres,  Runners - 15

 

At the start, ALIYANA (Dashrath Singh) jumped out awkwardly.

 

Soon after the start, OCEAN LEGACY (App.Akshay) shied away and shifted in due to the presence of ALBUURZ (App.M.A.Roushan) on its outside who had shifted in before the Red Marker. Due to this, OCEAN LEGACY bored RED PASSION (C.Rajendra)  for a few strides due to which Jockey C Rajendra lost his left stirrup which he regained a little while later. Due to the boring of RED PASSION, the filly shifted in and caused interference to SMOKIN ACES (D.K.Ashish). App.M.A.Roushan (ALBUURZ) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.  

 

Approaching 200 metres, DAFFODILS (C.S.Jodha) shifted out to progress in the race and forced SCENIC SILVER (Ishwar Pardeshi) to travel wide, who in turn caused AFLATOON (Akash Agarwal) to travel wider. At this stage BESPOKE (Neeraj Rawal) also shifted out to progress in the race and caused ALBUURZ (App.M.A.Roushan) to shift out, who in turn forced DAFFODILS (C.S.Jodha) out. Both the Jockeys, C.S.Jodha and Neeraj Rawal have been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over their respective mount.

 

In the final 200 metres, NATIVE LADY (App.P.Trevor) lugged out and carried ANGELS PURSUIT (A.M.Tograllu) outwards. Since  NATIVE LADY was reported to have broken a blood vessel, no action has been initiated in this matter.  However,  NATIVE LADY is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, ANGELS PURSUIT was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, AFLATOON, RED PASSION & CAUSTIC FINALE were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8 (272) – THE RUNNING STAR PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres, Runners –12

 

AVALON (C.Rajendra) refused to be stalled despite all efforts, as such, the filly was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and to show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SECRETIVE was found to be sound, having an injury on the upper gum.

 

RACE NO.9 (273) – THE ACT IN TIME PLATE (DIV.I) : (About) 1200 Metres, Runners –16

 

TRUE ELEGANCE (App.A.Sandesh) was restless and kept rearing up in the stall. Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

ALCHEMIST (Zameer Sayyed) was slow in the strides, losing about 3 lengths at the start. 

 

After the race, RIVER GEM, SWOOSH and ALCHEMIST were found to be sound.

The urine sample of winner of  the  5th, 7th & 8th race, viz. AMOURESQUE, BESPOKE and LIMITLESS HILLS and the special sample of NATIVE LADY (7th race) and PURPLE MOON (8th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

The urine sample of the following horses has been found to be NEGATIVE for the presence of Anabolic Steroids and Sex Hormones:
