RACE NO.1 (182) – THE  ROYAL CHALLENGE ‘GAME FOR LIFE’ CHALLENGE (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres, Runners–17

At the request of Trainer Faisal A Abbas, MATILDA was examined at 0735 hours on 03/02/2011 and was found to be sore by left hind leg due to a painful swelling on the left hock. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

MESMERISER was slow and lost about 2 lengths at the start.

 

Jockey Suraj Narredu (FOXTROT) has been fined Rs.2000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Jockey D.S.Rathore (SUN KISSED) has been cautioned for changing course outwards in the final 200 metres.

In the final 200 metres, RED TABASCO (Paul Mulrennan) shifted out under the use of the whip and made contact with CROWNED PRINCESS (F.Irani). Jockey Paul Mulrennan has been cautioned.

 

OCEAN TERN (App.P.Trevor) lugged-in in the straight. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that OCEAN TERN was found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such no action was initiated in the matter. The gelding has to be passed by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

 

After the race, RED TABASCO and FULL THROTTLE were found to be sound. RED TASBASCO had an abrasion at the right fore pastern

 

RACE NO.2 (183) –THE  McDOWELL SIGNATURE PREMIER TROPHY: (About) 1600 Mts, Runners–8

 

Approaching 1400 metres, BY THE WAY (R.Shelar) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of WORD OF HONOUR (David Allan). Again near 1000 metres, MAJESTIC FORCE (C.Rajendra) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of WORD OF HONOUR who lugged in. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey N.G.McCullagh (COMBINED OPERATION) has been fined Rs. 3000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. 

After the race, HOME ALONE was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, WORD OF HONOUR was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (184) – THE DALMORE CUP: (About) 1000 Metres, Runners – 21

 

At the request of Trainer D.J.Surti, CLASSIC MONEY was examined at 0925 hours on 06/02/2011 and was found to be sore by the right fore leg, having injury at the bulb of the heel and coronet. As such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race. 

After being stalled, ESCALATING (S.A.De Sousa) kept on rearing up and was not allowing the rider to settle. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, EVANGILIST (Suraj Narredu, dr. 11) jumped out awkwardly and shifted in on to MONEY FLASH (Dashrath Singh, dr.10) who in turn went on to EMERALD QUEEN (Akash Agarwal, dr.9). As EMERALD QUEEN regained balance, the filly shifted out on to MONEY FLASH who in turn went on to EVANGILIST. On questioning, Jockey Suraj Narredu explained that his mount took an awkward jump and while trying to correct his mount, the filly threw her head and hit him on the face and he had lost control momentarily. He further added that he did not get a clear run for a few strides. 

 

Approaching 800 metres, EMERALD QUEEN (Akash Agarwal) was tightened and lost position due to a tightly packed field.

MONEY FLASH (Dashrath Singh) lugged in throughout the race and ENTICEMENT (Ishwar Pardeshi) lugged out in the straight. Trainers D.J.Surti and Magansingh P.Jodha have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge before next accepting to race them.

 

After the race, GREY PHANTOM and EVANGILIST were found to be sore by the right fore leg. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, MONEY FLASH and TALENTED  were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (185)  – THE  ROMANOV RED ‘CHASE YOUR PASSION’ TROPHY: (About) 2400 Metrrs, Runners - 13

 

TARA (Paul Mulrennan) was slow in the strides, losing about 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, NUMISMATIST (Vikram Jodha, dr. 8) jumped put awkwardly towards the inside and at the same time SUZY WONG (Akash Agarwal, dr. 6) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and tightened LASERRE (B.Prakash, dr. 7).

NUMISMATIST (Vikram Jodha) lugged-in in the final 200 metres. Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the horse.

 

After the race, GAURI was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly was sent to the Equine Hospital in the Horse Ambulance for further treatment. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, THUNDER STRIKE was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind canon. LESERRE was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5 (186)  – THE  VLADIVAR CUP: (About) 1400 Metres - Runners –10

 

At the request of Trainer S.S.Shah, OH CALCUTTA was examined at 0830 hours on 04/02/2011 and was found to be sore by the left fore leg. As such the mare was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The mare has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (ILLUSTRIOUS) has been reprimanded for shifting in soon after the start.

 

Near 400 metres, RAJASTHAN ROYALS (Y.S.Srinath) shifted out to progress in the race and in the process took the running of ESTEVEZ (C.Alford) who was steadied. Jockey Y.S.Srinath has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, CIEL INDIENNE & THE GIANT were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (187) – THE ANTIQUITY BLUE ‘FUSION OF THE FINEST’ TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres, Runners- 22

 

ASTON MARTIN (Malcolm Kharadi) was reluctant to be stalled. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in its previous outing, Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to give the gelding more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.

 

Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi (PHOSPHOR) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

At the start, ANCIENT WONDER (Suraj Narredu, dr.2) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went on to CARIBBEAN QUEEN (C.D.Hayes, dr.3) who in turn went on to TAKESTWOTOTANGO (Neeraj Rawal, dr. 4).

SHOW STOPPER (Akash Agarwal) kept an erratic course in the final 300 metres wherein the filly shifted in under the use of the whip and then shifted out and carried STAR OF ROSES (R.Hughes) outwards and then shifted in again. Jockey Akash Agarwal has been fined Rs. 2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

CHECK HER OUT (R.Shelar) was held up for a run in the final 200 metres due to the front horses keeping an erratic course.

After the race, ARABIAN CHAMP was observed to have broken a blood vessel. Being a second time bleeder, the gelding is not to race for the stipulated period of 8 weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, SHOWSTOPPER, DANCING GLANCES & ZARACHA were found to be sound. DANCING GLANCES had a wolf tooth on the left side.

 

RACE NO.7 (188)  – THE  R.N.KANGA GOLD TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres, Runners - 11

 

Jockey S.S.Baria (BEYOND BELIEF) has been fined Rs.2000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Jockey C.D.Hayes (ARISTOS) reported that his mount was lugging-in in the early part of the race and then lugged out and he found his mount uncomfortable and therefore he did not ride out his mount. Veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormality. The matter was reported to the Stewards. The Stewards interviewed Trainer J.S.Dhariwal and Jockey C.D.Hayes and having heard the submissions made by them, decided to adjourn the matter to the next meeting of the Stewards.

 

After the race, BECKET & ARISTOS were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8 (189) – THE B.K.RATTONSEY MEMORIAL MAIDEN MULTI-MILLION: (About) 1200 Metres - Runners – 10

On the way to the start, FLASHFORWARD (M.A.Gallagher) dislodged the rider and ran riderless . After consulting the Trainer, the horse was withdrawn from the race before coming under the Starter’s order. 

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (SALT) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Jockey David Allan (MOUNTAIN FAIRY) reported that his mount was lugging out through out the race. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Paul Mulrennan (ZORBA) reported that his mount lugged out through out the race and was tired in the later stages of the race and therefore he did not ride out his mount. The Sr.V.O. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that ZORBA found to be sore by the left fore leg, as such no action was initiated in the matter. ZORBA has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

In the final stages of the race, ST CATZ (Neeraj Rawal) was held up for a few strides while racing on the inside of MISHRI (N.G.McCullagh).

 

PRONTO PRONTO (Y.S.Srinath) lugged out in the straight. Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

After the race, PRONTO PRONTO was observed to have an abrasion at both hind fetlock. FLASHFORWARD was found to be sound.

 

STAR IS BORN (Suraj Narredu) was placed fifth and CAPARIOLE (C.Rajendra) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.9 (190) – THE  McDOWELL SIGNATURE INDIAN DERBY (GR.1) :  (About) 2400 Metres -  Runners – 12

 

SCIONIC (S.John) played up in the stall and dislodged the rider. Trainer Altamaash A.Ahmed has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

BATISTA (Malcolm Kharadi) hung out near 1400 metres and drifted outwards and thereafter raced along the outer rails. Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

In the concluding stages of the race, MACCHUPICCHU (B.Prakash) shifted in and tightened SUNLIGHT (Paul Mulrennan) who was forced to change course outwards. Jockey B.Prakash has been fined Rs.2000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

After the race, MOONLIGHT ROMANCE was observed to have an abrasion at both hind fetlock.  BATISTA & SCIONIC were found to be sound.

SUNLIGHT (Paul Mulrennan) was placed fifth and BERLUSCONI (Y.S.Srinath) was placed sixth by the Judge, in this race.

 

RACE NO.10 (191) – THE  ROYAL CHALLENGE ‘GAME FOR LIFE’ CHALLENGE (DIV.I):  (About) 1000 Mts - Runners –18

 

KHURSANIYAH (App.M.A.Roushan) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Faisal A.Abbas has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, ADVENTURER (Suraj Narredu, DR.13) shifted in and made contact with MCQUEEN (S.P.Ranjane, DR.12). Jockey Suraj Narredu has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Soon after the start, KHURSANIYAH (App.M.A.Roushan,dr.14) hung inwards and went across ADVENTURER (Suraj Narredu) & SOLID ROCK (Zameer Sayyed) and then tightened CELTIC MANOR (T.S.Jodha)  on to CLASSIC RULER (R. Biramne), who went on to NATIVE LADY (C.Rajendra) who in turn went on to CRÈME DE LA CRÈME (Akash Agarwal). KHURSANIYAH continued shifting inwards and again tightened CLASSIC RULER who, while dropping back caused interference to NATIVE LADY. Trainer Faisal A Abbas has been asked to show the filly to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock race, before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, CLASSIC RULER, KHURSANIYAH and MOONLIGHT BEAUTY were found to be sound.
