RAILS WERE PLACED 5 METRES AWAY FROM THE ORIGINAL POINT FROM 1600 METRES UP TO THE WINNING POST. FOR THE RACES STARTING FROM THE BACK STRETCH, RAILS WERE PLACED AT AN AVERAGE WIDTH OF ABOUT 2.5 METRES FROM 1300 METRES UP TO 1000 METRES.

RACE NO.1 (35) - THE DSV TROPHY :   (About) 1400 Metres, Runners – 9

 

App.P.Trevor (TROMOS) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. Further, he has been cautioned for using his whip with excessive frequency.

After the race, BLADES OF GLORY was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2 (36) – THE M.H.AHMEDBHOY TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres, Runners – 5

 

After the race, STARRY GLOW was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race,  FLOODS OF FORTUNE was found to be sound having an abrasion at the right hind pastern. TELL ME MORE was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (37)  – THE POWERHOUSE EASTERN GERMANY TROPHY :  (About) 1000 Metres.  - Runners - 13

 

Trainer D.J.Surti reported that DANCING MONEY had a fall on the way to the saddling enclosure. The filly was examined by the Club’s Sr.V.O. and found to be sore by the right fore leg and had a bleeding mouth injury. As such, DANCING MONEY was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

Due to a printing error, the declared Jockey for WATCH OUT was shown as D.Akkshay, instead of Jockey D.K.Ashish. An appropriate announcement was made.

CRESCENDO (T.S.Jodha) fly jumped and went inwards, making contact with RISING ASSET (T.Atul). EMERALD QUEEN (I.Shaikh) fly jumped and lost about 2 lengths at the start. WATCH OUT (D.K.Ashish) threw her head up as the filly jumped.

At the start, RAJDOOT (App.P.Trevor) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and made contact with ALOHAMORA (Shrikant Kamble).

Jockey Dashrath Singh (THE FIRST LADY) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker and later on going across ASHWA PRAHAR (R.Rupesh).

WATCH OUT (D.K.Ashish), EMERALD QUEEN (I.Shaikh) and WILD IMAGINATION (C.Rajendra) lugged out in the straight despite the effort of their respective Riders. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting with his charges.

After the race, ALOHAMORA, LOYAL TYCOON  & RISING ASSET were found to be sound. SECRET TALK had an injury at the lower gum.

 

RACE NO.4 (38)  – THE BAYER TROPHY :   (About) 2000 Metres, Runners - 4

 

Passing the 1000 metres, STRELITZIA (C.D.Hayes) leaned inwards and inconvenienced HUGO (App.D.Akkshay). STRELITZIA continued to lean inwards till entering the straight. As such, Trainer P.Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.  

RACE NO.5 (39) – THE FOUR SEASONS HOTEL MUMBAI TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres, Runners- 6

 

Jockey C.D.Hayes (LIONWOODS) reported that his mount lugged in throughout the race and approaching 1000 metres, inconvenienced BOMBAY BOMBSHELL (Malcolm Kharadi). Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the colt.

After the race, LIONWOODS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.6 (40)  – THE INDO-GERMAN CHRISTMAS TROPHY :  (About) 1200 Metres, Runners - 10

 

At the start, ESTEVEZ (Malcolm Kharadi) jumped out awkwardly to the outside causing FLAMING ARROW (David Allan) to be checked by his rider and ESTEVEZ further went out and made contact with DEMONSTRATOR (B.Prakash). On questioning, Jockey Malcolm Kharadi reported that he was instructed to settle the filly and ride her from behind. However, he was aware that the filly is very quick out of the gates and he tried to hold her on jump out so as to follow the Instructions and in doing so, the filly jumped out awkwardly. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

App.M.A.Roushan (LAGO MEDIO) has been cautioned for allowing his mount to shift-in in the final 200 metres.

FLAMING ARROW (David Allan) lugged-in in the final stages of the race. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

RACE NO.7 (41) – THE HDFC-ERGO TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres -  Runners - 8

 

Near 400 metres, SHERMAN FLAIL (D.K.Ashish) shifted out and forced ARABICA (C.D. Hayes) to shift out, who in turn hampered the running of ANGELS TERN (A.Imran Khan) who was checked. SHERMAN FLAIL hung out in the final 300 metres Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards in a Mock Race, before next accepting to race.

After the race, SHERMAN FLAIL was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.8 (42) – THE LUFTHANSA CUP:   (About) 1400 Metres, Runners - 10

 

HI DOLLY (App.A.Sandesh) and HONEY BEE (C.S.Jodha) were slowly out, losing about 2 lengths each at the start.

 

At the start, WINGS OF ANGELS (App.D.Akkshay) jumped out awkwardly towards the outside and went across HONEYBEE (C.S.Jodha) who was slow to begin. Trainer Nana Raghunath has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

At the start, HOUDINI (R.Shelar) jumped out awkwardly.

Jockey D.S.Rathore (PRINCE CYRUS) has been fined Rs.1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

HONEY BEE (C.S.Jodha) hung out in the straight. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. 

App.A.Sandesh (HI DOLLY) has been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over his mount whereby the mare shifted ground inwards in the straight.

After the race, HONEY BEE found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9 (43) - THE RHEINLAND-PFALZ TROPHY :  (About) 1600 Metres,  Runners - 15

 

Trainer D.J.Surti has been fined Rs.1000/- for failing to produce the registered colours in respect of his charge MONEY FLASH. The Jockey wore the Emergency Colours i.e. All Black.

 

Near 1000 metres, BLAU HIMMEL (D.S.Rathore) raced tight on the inside of RIGEL (B.Prakash) and was steadied and shifted in due to which GAMBA (S.Sunil) was tightened, who in turn went on to EYE OF THE STORM (D.K.Ashish). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

Soon on entering the straight, STAR TREASURE (David Allan) shifted out and inconvenienced RIGEL (B.Prakash) and a short while later FROST FAIRY (A.Imran Khan) shifted in and inconvenienced RIGEL. Both the jockeys, David Allan and A.Imran Khan, have been cautioned for failing to exercise proper control over their respective mount.

 

Approaching 200 metres, STAR TREASURE (David Allan) shifted out and at the same time FROST FAIRY (A.Imran Khan) shifted in and made contact with each other, due to which FROST FAIRY shifted outwards and subsequently the jockey used his whip with the right hand and aggravated the outward movement of his mount.

 

Jockey A.Imran Khan (FROST FAIRY) has been reprimanded for shifting ground inwards under the use of the whip in the final 200 metres.

 

Jockey D.S.Rathore (BLAU HIMMEL) reported that he found his mount to be uncomfortable in the final 200 metres. The Sr.V.O.. was requested to examine the gelding and he reported that BLAU HIMMEL was found to be sore by the right fore leg and also had an abrasion at the right fore pastern. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, RIGEL and ARISTOCRATICAL were observed to have broken a blood vessel and are not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. Both the horses have to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, POUND FOOLISH was observed to have a gum  injury.

The urine sample of winner of 5th, 8th & 9th race viz. STARDOM BOUND, HI DOLLY & STAR TREASURE and the special sample of FLOODS OF FORTUNE (2nd race) and ARISTOCRATICAL & RIGEL (9th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : RACE NO.25 – THE FAIR ALWAYS PLATE RUN ON 2ND DECEMBER, 2010 – APPRENTICE A.SANDESH, RIDER OF “EQUALITY” REPORTED TO THE STEWARDS FOR DROPPING HIS HANDS BEFORE PASSING THE WINNING POST :

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th December, 2010 considered a report from the Stipendiary Stewards on the captioned subject matter and having viewed the video recording of Race No.25 decided to caution Apprentice A.Sandesh for dropping his hands before passing the winning post.

RE : RACE NO.26 – THE ENRICO PLATE (DIV.II) RUN ON 2ND DECEMBER, 2010 – APPRENTICE A.SANDESH, RIDER OF “SIOOUX CHIEF” REPORTED TO THE STEWARDS FOR CARELESS RIDING:

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th December, 2010 considered a report from the Stipendiary Stewards on the captioned subject matter and having viewed the video recording of Race No.25 decided to give App.A.Sandesh the benefit of the doubt for careless riding and directed the Stipendiary Stewards to take action against him for not keeping proper control over his mount.

 

Accordingly, App.A.Sandesh was fined Rs.3000/- by the Stipendiary Stewards for not keeping proper control over his mount SIOOUX CHIEF in Race No.26, in that, he kept an erratic course in the straight and shifted out under use of the whip and bumped RIVER TERN (S.Zervan) in the final stages of the race.

RE : STEWARDS ENQUIRY / OBJECTION IN RACE NO.33 – THE VALLABHDAS H.ADWALIA TROPHY (DIV.I) RUN ON 2ND DECEMBER, 2010 – APPRENTICE A.SANDESH, RIDER OF “STAR SYMPHONY” - CARELESS RIDING:

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th December, 2010 interviewed App.A.Sandesh, who was accompanied by his Master, Trainer Rehanullah Khan, in the above connection. Having heard the submission made by them and viewing the video recording of Race No.33, the Stewards held App.A.Sandesh guilty of careless riding on his mount STAR SYMPHONY in the above race. However, keeping in mind that App.A.Sandesh had admitted his mistake and apologized for the same, the Stewards took a lenient view in the matter and decided to suspend his Apprentice Jockey’s license for 23rd December, 2010 (permitted to ride work/mock race).

RE : STEWARDS ENQUIRY / OBJECTION IN RACE NO.33 – THE VALLABHDAS H.ADWALIA TROPHY (DIV.I) RUN ON 2ND DECEMBER, 2010 – APPRENTICE D.AKKSHAY, RIDER OF “VISIONAIRE” - CARELESS RIDING:

 

The Stewards at their meeting held on 5th December, 2010 having reviewed the video recording of Race No.33, decided to give Apprentice D.Akkshay the benefit of the doubt.

GENERAL  - MORNING TRACK WORK –  5TH DECEMBER,, 2010 :

 

The Sr.V.O. reported that after the morning track work on 5th December, 2010, WINNING TREAT was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated period of 4 weeks. The horse has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.
