RACE DAY REPORTS

 

FALSE RAILS WERE PLACED 3 METRES WIDE FROM 1600 METRES TILL 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 5 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST. ALSO, 5 METRES WIDE FROM 1200 METRES CHUTE TILL 1000 METRES.

 

On a request from Trainer S.Padmanabhan, permission was granted to Trainer Nana Raghunath to saddle his charge ICEBREAKER in the 5th race, at his (Trainer S.Padmanabhan’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1 (185) THE SONALIKA PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres. Runners – 8 

 

STAR INVITATION (App.P.Trevor) was reluctant to be stalled. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

Trainer Amjad Khan has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in the Declaration late in respect of his charge ARCH RIVAL.

 

Jockey N.S.Parmar (POUND FOOLISH) reported that his filly hung-in during the race. Trainer M.K.Jadhav has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly. 

 

At about 600 metres, ARCH RIVAL (D.K.Ashish) weakened and lost position, as a result EQUALITY (M. Narredu) who was following, shifted out and made contact with POUND FOOLISH (N.S.Parmar). Since the incident was accidental, no action has been taken against anyone.

 

After the race, ARCH RIVAL was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, KALINGA STAR was observed to have an abrasion on the left hind fetlock and MONK’S FERRARI had an abrasion on the right hind bulb of heel.

 

RACE NO.2 (186) THE OCTOBER HANDICAP : (About) 1200 Metres. Runners – 6 

 

Trainer P.Shroff has been fined Rs. 1000/- for Declaring his filly ENDLESS HORIZON to race with a Regular Snaffle but had used a Rubber Bit instead.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (ILLUSTRIOUS) has been fined Rs. 1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Jockey N.S.Parmar (ENDLESS HORIZON) has been fined Rs.2000/- for shifting in and making contact with OCEAN PRINCESS (C.Rajendra) on a number of occasions in the early part of the race in trying to settle his mount as instructed and in the process TYSEA (Malcolm Kharadi) was inconvenienced while racing on the inside of OCEAN PRINCESS.    

 

After the race, FANTASTIC KINGDOM was observed to have an abrasion on both hind fetlocks. OCEAN PRINCESS was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3 (187) THE ASCOT LASS PLATE: (About) 2000 Metres. Runners - 8

 

While negotiating the bend, ARIANE (Malcolm Kharadi) shifted in and inconvenienced APACHE INDIAN (S.Sunil) who in turn inconvenienced ASHWA PUSKAR (S.Zervan). Jockey Malcolm Kharadi has been cautioned.

 

Near 300 metres, SUN ELEGANCE (C.Rajendra) was steadied when ASHWA PUSKAR (S.Zervan) went across the former. Jockey S.Zervan has been cautioned.

 

After the race, SUN ELEGANCE was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4 (188) THE GRUEZI PLATE: About) 1000 Metres. Runners - 10

 

SNOW BLAZE (Dashrath Singh) lugged out soon on entering the straight for a brief period, MOUNTAIN WIND (C.Rajendra) lugged out in the straight and WORD OF HONOUR (V.Chandrakant) lugged in and shifted in sharply in the final 200 metres. Trainers Dallas Todywalla and C.D.Katrak have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge before next accepting to race.

 

After the race, SNOW BLAZE and WORD OF HONOUR were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO 5. (189) THE  24K KOLTE-PATIL PREMIUM FILLIES’ & MARES’ STAKES (GR.3): (About) 1800 Metres. Runners - 6 

 

On a report from Trainer Neil Darashah that his charge YOURE SO BEAUTIFUL plays up in her stall in the Saddling Enclosure and on his request, the filly was permitted to be saddled outside the Saddling Enclosure in the presence of the Club’s Official.

 

After the race, ICEBREAKER was found to be sound, having an abrasion on the right hind canon. YOURE SO BEAUTIFUL was observed to have lost her right fore plate.

 

RACE NO.6 (190) THE  KANTHARA PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres.  Runners - 13 

 

SUPREME FORCE (A Imran Khan) jumped out awkwardly throwing his head up, went wide and was slow to begin. Trainer Karthik G. has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey C.Rajendra (MOONLIGHT BEAUTY) has been fined 1000/- for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

At the start, HOTTIE (Dashrath Singh) jumped out awkwardly to the right and maintained an erratic course throughout the race. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

At about 700 metres, HOTTIE (Dashrath Singh) ducked in suddenly and went on to SIMPLE MAGIC (S.Sunil) who had to be checked by the rider. Since the incident was accidental, no action has been initiated against anyone.

 

Jockey H.G.Rathod (EMERALD QUEEN) reported that his filly was inclined to hang out throughout the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

WILD IMAGINATION (Sunny Chinoy) lugged out in the final stages of the race. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

An enquiry has been opened in the running of this race and also into the improved performance of ALIYANA and a report will be submitted shortly.

 

After the race, MOONLIGHT BEAUTY was found to have a gum injury. CASPIAN ZONE, DISTANT PROMISE & EMERALD QUEEN were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7 (191) THE  AEROBICA PLATE:  (About) 1200 Metres. Runners - 12 

 

WELLS FARGO (App.Kavraj Singh) jumped out awkwardly, losing about 3 lengths at the start. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to give the mare more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.

 

Jockeys T.S.Jodha (BLADES OF GLORY), S.Sunil (BONNY LIGHT) and A.M.Tograllu (PAPER KING) have been fined Rs.1000/- each for shifting in before the Red Marker.

 

Passing 200 metres, PAPER KING (A.M.Tograllu) shifted in and caused MUSICAL RHYTHM (C.S.Jodha) to shift in, who in turn hampered the running of BONNY LIGHT (S.Sunil) who was checked and lost position and in the process inconvenienced MASTER CRAFT (Vikram Jodha). Jockey A.M.Tograllu has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to exercise proper control over his mount.

 

Jockey A.M.Trograllu (PAPER KING) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount.

 

Jockey T.S.Jodha (BLADES OF GLORY) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount and further cautioned for using the whip with excessive frequency and force.

 

After the race, PAPER KING & THE RIGHT MAN were found to be sound.

 

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 2nd and 5th race viz. STAR INVITATION, ILLUSTRIOUS and SANS PEREIL as also that of YOURE SO BEAUTIFUL & ASTRAL FLASH (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : CONFIRMATORY REPORT IN RESPECT OF dk b g “URBAN WARRIOR” (UNPLACED) IN RACE NO.79 – THE HAWKE BAY PLATE RUN ON SATURDAY, 21ST AUGUST, 2010 :

 

The Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Sunday, 3rd October, 2010 interviewed Trainer S.Shaikh regarding the Confirmatory Analysis Report dated 29th September, 2010 from LCH, France, in respect of the sample of urine taken from URBAN WARRIOR (Unplaced) in Race No.79 – The Hawke Bay Plate run on 21st August, 2010 which read as under :-

 

“…..It is hereby confirmed that the sample, which has been analysed as set out above, contains Boldenone”

A copy of the above report was handed over to Tr.S.Shaikh and he was asked to continue his own enquiries and to lead evidence, if any, to prove mitigating circumstances, within 15 days and to also attend the enquiry to be held by the Stipendiary Stewards and the Sr.Veterinary Officer of the Club, as and when he would be required to.

 

Further, as per the Medication Rules,  the Stewards of the Club decided to disqualify URBAN WARRIOR (Unplaced) in Race No.79 – The Hawke Bay Plate run on 21st August,. 2010.

 

RE : RACE NO.179 – THE STARSKY TROPHY RUN ON SUNDAY, 26TH SEPTEMBER, 2010 :

 

On a request from Trainer Zadmal Singh, his charge IBIS was examined by the Club’s Sr. VO on 27/09/2010 at 1700 hours in the stables and was found to have injury and opacity of the cornea in the right eye and treatment was advised.
