RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED  2 METRES AWAY FROM  ITS ORIGINAL POINT AT 1200 METRES, 3 METRES AWAY AT 1000 METRES AND THEREAFTER 4 METRES AWAY UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE ALSO PLACED 5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

 

RACE NO.1(60) –  THE SPARK OF GOLD PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – 6 Runners

 

On arrival at the start, JACK FLASH (App. K. Nazil) played up and dislodged its rider who was hurt and unable to ride, as such JACK FLASH was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s order. Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to give the colt more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, USTAD PEDRO (J. Chinoy, dr.4) jumped outwards and went on to LAMBRETTA (Bhawani Singh, dr.5), who in turn shifted out and carried ADONIJAH (N. S. Parmar, dr.7) outwards.

 

After the race, App. A. S. Peter (BEEMER) reported the loss of whip passing the 200 metres. This being his second instance during the current Pune Meeting 2019, he has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

After the race, JACK  FLASH was trotted and found to be sound. The colt had an abrasion at the right stifle and hock.

 

RACE NO.2(61) –  THE YANA PLATE : (About) 2000 Metres – 6 Runners

 

TILL END OF TIME (Akshay) reared up as the start was given thereby losing about 5 lengths.

 

After the race, TASAWWUR and LUCKY LUCIANO were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(62) –  THE B.K.LAGAD TROPHY (DIV.II): (About) 1000 Metres –  9 Runners

 

PEZULA (P. Trevor) jumped out slow losing about 4 lengths at the start.

 

Approaching the 200 metres, C’EST L’AMOUR (C. S. Jodha) shifted in and made contact with EN SABAH NUR (J. Chinoy). After the race, Jockey C. S. Jodha stated that his mount leaned inwards and had to be steadied as such he could not ride out to its complete advantage. Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, Jockey P. Trevor (PEZULA) reported that his mount was hesitant to raise a fluent gallop in the early part of the race. Trainer Bezan Chenoy has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

After the race, C’EST L’AMOUR and PEZULA were trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.4(63) –  THE IDAR GOLD TROPHY (GR.3) : (About) 2400 Metres – 3 Runners

 

At the request of Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait, CAPRISCA was examined at 0925 hours on 31/08/2019 and found to have swelling at both fore fetlock joints. Subsequently, on scrutinizing the Race Day Medical Report submitted by the Equine Hospital and Private Vets, it was observed that CAPRISCA was declared to run in this race within 10 days of having received the Extra Corporeal Shock Wave therapy, as such, the gelding was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. In this connection, Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait has been fined Rs.10,000/- for the lapse on his part. Further, the Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the gelding from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ADJUDICATE had right eye injury (sore).

 

After the race, ADJUDICATE was trotted and found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(64) –  THE AZZURRO PLATE: (About) 1200 Metres – 13 Runners

 

At the start, BIG BEN (App. K. Nazil, dr.8) jumped inwards and at the same time NIGHT HUNT (P.Trevor, dr.7) jumped outwards and they made contact. Thereafter, ASHWA VIJETA (App. A. S. Peter, dr.9) shifted in thereby tightening BIG BEN (App. K. Nazil) and causing it to be checked and drop back. App. A.S.Peter has been cautioned.

 

 

Approaching the 1000 metres, HIGHLAND WOODS (App.S.A.Amit) shifted in and went across ROYAL ACE (App. A. Prakash) causing it to be checked and change course thereby starting a chain reaction due to which JULIO CESARO (J. Chinoy), PULVERIZE (Bhawani Singh) and NIGHT HUNT (P. Trevor) were inconvenienced. Further, ASHWA VIJETA (App. A. S. Peter) who was racing on the haunches of NIGHT HUNT, had to be steadied. After questioning all concerned, App. S.A. Amit has been fined Rs.2,000/-.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that ASHWA VIJETA had right eye injury (sore eye with mild corneal opacity).

 

After the race, BIG BEN was observed to have a cut injury at the right fore cannon and HIGHLAND WOODS had a gum injury. THE CIVILIAN and ASHWA VIJETA were found to be sound in the trot.

 

RACE NO.6(65) –  THE  B.K.LAGAD TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

SANDRA’S SECRET (App. Raghuveer Singh) was reluctant to be stalled.

 

At the start, SANDMAN (A. Imran Khan, dr.7) jumped outwards and went across PIXEL (Shrikant Kamble, dr.8) and made contact with TASMAN (S. J. Sunil, dr.9).

 

At the start, RUNNING RIVER (Akshay) was observed to have taken a fly jump.

 

Approaching the 800 metres, GOD’S DECREE (P. Trevor) shifted in and went across FIRE PRINCESS (App.S. A. Amit) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey P. Trevor has been cautioned.

 

Approaching the 700 metres, SANDRA’S SECRET (App. Raghuveer Singh) shifted in thereby tightening FIRE PRINCESS (App.S. A. Amit) along the rails. App. Raghuveer Singh has been cautioned.

 

After the race, Jockey Akshay (RUNNING RIVER) reported that his mount was inclined outwards throughout the race. Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

After the race, DANCING JADE was observed to have an abrasion at the left hind pastern.

 

RACE NO.7(66) –  THE  SPEARHEAD PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – 12 Runners

 

Soon after the start, SMOKY HAZE (Yash Narredu, dr.3) veered outwards bumping SAFFON FLOWER (App. Santosh G., dr.4) due to which Jockey Yash Narredu was unbalanced and dislodged. Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures and to show his charge in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting with him to race.

 

At the start, WHOOPSIDAISY (App. K. Nazil, dr.11) jumped outwards and carried SHE’S A TIGER (App.S. A.  Amit, dr.12) out. Trainer Adil Dajee has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

After the race, Jockey J. Chinoy (ZEEMO) reported that his mount was inclined inwards throughout the race. Trainer S. Waheed has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

The Equine Hospital reported that GANDALF had right eye injury (sore eye).

 

After the race, ARABIAN FRIEND and GANDALF were trotted and found to be sound.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 6th race, viz. FINDLERHOF, SACHERTORTE, BUSHTOPS and SANDMAN, as also that of ADJUDICATE  (4th race), and the special sample of LUCKY LUCIANO (2nd race), PIXEL (6th race) and GANDALF (7th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

RE : SUSPENSION OF HIS JOCKEY’S LICENCE FOR 14TH SEPTEMBER, 2019 FOR CARELESS RIDING ON HIS MOUNT MACGYVER IN RACE NO.50 – THE SECRET ROMEO PLATE RUN ON 24TH AUGUST, 2019 – JOCKEY J.CHINOY :

 

Vide his letter dated 31st August, 2019 Jockey J.Chinoy informed this office that he did not wish to appeal against the above decision and would like his punishment to start earlier.

 

In view of the above, his Jockey’s license now stands suspended for 7th September, 2019 (permitted to ride work/mock race).
