RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT THE ORIGINAL POINT
On a request from Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait, permission was granted to Trainer Dallas Todywalla to saddle his charges B FIFTY TWO and GLORIOSUS (1st race), RELENTLESS PURSUIT (5th race) and HUZZAH’S GRACE (6th race), at his own (Trainer Imtiaz A.Sait’s) risk and responsibility.

On a request from Trainer Mansoor Shah, permission was granted to Trainer Shazaan Shah to saddle his charges CUPIDO and SO SPLENDID in the 4th race, at his own (Trainer Mansoor Shah’s) risk and responsibility.

RACE NO.1(210) –THE HYDERABAD RACE CLUB TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 5
Trainer Adhirajsingh Jodha has been fined Rs.1,000/- for racing his charge SQUARE MOON with bandages on both fore legs without obtaining prior permission for the same.
After the race, FRIVOLOUS, SQUARE MOON and GLORIOSUS were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.2(211) –THE JAYANT M.SHAH PLATE: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 8
AURORA AUSTRALIS (Amyn Merchant) was observed to have jumped out slow and thereafter did not raise an effective gallop for the first 100 metres thereby trailing the field. In view of this behavior, Trainer Hosidar Daji has been asked to take remedial measures and show the mare in a Mock Race to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards, before next accepting with her to race.
Soon after the start, HODSON’S HORSE (App. Malam Singh) shifted in and went on to ADONIJAH (D. A. Naik) who had to be steadied. Thereafter, SULLIVAN (App. A. S. Peter) shifted in under urgings and tightened ADONIJAH, forcing the latter to be checked and drop back. After questioning, App. A. S. Peter has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
From the 400 metres, App. Malam Singh (HODSON’S HORSE) was observed to have maintained an erratic course and approaching 300 metres he shifted out due to which MY PRECIOUS (App.Bhawani Singh) shied outwards on to GOLD MEDALIST (A. Sandesh), who in turn shifted out and made contact with STRONG STORM (P. Trevor). It was also observed that App.Malam Singh did not maintain proper balance whilst riding out due to which the horse kept an erratic course. After questioning, App. Malam Singh has been referred to the Apprentice Jockeys Instructor to improve his riding skill.
After the race, BAKHTAWAR was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, STRONG STORM was trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.3(212) –THE RAZA ALI PLATE : (About) 1200 Metres – Runners 12
At the request of Trainer Dallas Todywalla, EYE CANDY was examined at 1100 hours on 28/03/2019 and found to have swelling at the left fore fetlock and was sore by the left fore leg, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
At the request of Trainer C.Rajendra, PRINCESS AVIKA was examined at the saddling enclosure and found to have an abrasion and swelling on the right hind fetlock, as such, the filly was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on veterinary grounds. The Trainer is required to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
Soon after the start, DREAM (App. Santosh G.) shifted in and went on to DIVIJA (P. S. Chouhan), who in turn shifted in and made contact with HIDDEN GOLD (A. Sandesh). App.Santosh G. has been cautioned.
Approaching 800 meters, DREAM (App. Santosh G.) shifted in and went on to HIDDEN GOLD (A. Sandesh) thereby tightening him along the rails, forcing Jockey A.Sandesh to check his mount and drop back. After questioning, App. Santosh G. has been fined Rs.2,000/-.
Passing 350 metres, HIDDEN GOLD (A. Sandesh) shifted out and made contact with DIVIJA (P. S. Chouhan). Jockey A. Sandesh has been cautioned.
RACE NO.4(213) –THE RUSTOMJI BYRAMJI TROPHY: (About) 1200 Metres – Runners - 9
At the start, JAIPAR HONEY (App.G. Amit, dr.7) jumped inwards and bumped TRANSFORM (P. S. Chouhan, dr.6), causing the latter to lose ground. On being questioned after the race, App.G. Amit stated that his mount was restless inside the stalls and in the process had charged the front gates and thereafter jumped leaning inwards as the start was given. In view of this behavior, Trainer Nirad Karanjawala has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials before next accepting to race.
At about 1000 metres, QUAIL HOLLOW (App.Santosh G.) shifted out and went across TRANSFORM (P. S. Chouhan). App.Santosh G. has been cautioned.
RACE NO.5(214) –THE V.P.KOREGAONKAR PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10
COLLEGIUM (Neeraj Rawal) took a fly jump thus losing about a length at the start.
At the start, SASSY LASS (Akshay, dr.9) jumped inwards on to RELENTLESS PURSUIT (S. Zervan, dr.7), who in turn shifted in and went across TIMELESS DEEDS (App. Aniket Karande, dr.6) and CELESTIAL LIGHT (Nirmal Jodha, dr.5).
Approaching 1000 metres, KINGSMAN (App. A. S. Peter) was observed to have leaned inwards and brushed the rails.
Passing 300 metres, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (QUESTIONABLE) was observed to have forced a passage thereby bumping COLLEGIUM (Neeraj Rawal). Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned.
After the race, KINGSMAN, QUESTIONABLE, GOSHAWK and TIMELESS DEEDS were trotted and found to be sound.
RACE NO.6(215) – THE S.A.WAHID PLATE : (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 14
At the start, DECCAN KING (P. S. Chohan, dr.3) jumped outwards brushing the gates, due to which the left cowl of his blinkers was damaged and kept flapping throughout the race.
At the start, BEYOND TIME (N. Rawal, dr.4) jumped outwards thereby forcing LAMBRETTA (App.Bhawani Singh, dr.5) on to SMART VISION (App.S. Jaykumar, dr.6), causing the latter to be checked and drop back.
Soon after the start, DECCAN KING (P. S. Chouhan) shifted in thereby tightening and inconveniencing LOVELY FAIRY (N. S. Parmar). Jockey P.S.Chouhan has been cautioned.
Approaching 400 metres, SHIVALIK SKIES (Amyn Merchant) shifted out thereby tightening and inconveniencing ANNIVERSARY GIRL (App. Raghuveer Singh). Jockey Amyn Merchant has been cautioned.
After the race, LAMBRETTA was trotted and found to be sound.

After questioning all concerned, Trainer A.M.Jadhav was permitted to declare App. Vishal N. Bunde on CRAY CRAY and Tr. Vinesh declared Jockey P. Trevor on RAPID GIRL.
