RACE DAY REPORTS
RAILS WERE PLACED AT ITS ORIGINAL POSITION FROM 2000 METRES TO 1400 METRES, 2 METRES WIDE AT 1200 METRES, 3 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES, 4 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES, 6 METRES WIDE AT 400 METRES AND THEREAFTER 7 METRES WIDE UPTO WINNING POST.
RAILS WERE PLACED 3.5 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

RACE NO.1(19) – THE TO THE MANOR BORN PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 12
EXCELERATOR (A. Sandesh, dr.8) was reluctant to be stalled. As such, Trainer A. M. Jadhav has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the colt to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, HILMA KLINT (Dashrath Singh, dr.1) jumped outwards onto HISTORIC (H. Zeeshan, dr.2) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back.
Soon after the start, SUFIYAH (P. S. Chouhan) leaned inwards and made contact with SOVEREIGN MASTER (T. S. Jodha).
After the race, EXCELERATOR was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The colt has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race the colt.
After the race, LA PEREGRINA was trotted and found to be sound.
The Equine Hospital reported that HISTORIC had a left eye injury and HILMA KLINT had a right eye injury.
RACE NO.2(20) – THE AN ACQUIRED TASTE PLATE: (About) 1000 Metres – Runners - 5
At the start, AEGON (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.3) jumped outwards onto GOLDEN GUEST (A. Sandesh, dr.4)
After the race, SHARAREH was trotted and found to be sound but had a gum injury.
The Equine Hospital reported that GOLDEN GUEST had a right eye injury (sore) and EXCELLENT GOLD had a right eye injury.
RACE NO.3(21) – THE CABRIOLET PLATE - DIVISION II: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 9
MYSTERIOUS GIRL (S. Zervan, dr.7) was reluctant to stalled and thereafter was not allowing its rider to settle in the stall. As such, Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
ANIMOUS (Bhawani Singh, dr.3) jumped out slowly losing about 2 lengths at the start.
Soon after the start, MYSTERIOUS GIRL (S. Zervan) jumped inwards onto and bumped SUNLORD (Neeraj Rawal) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back.
Passing the 1200 metres, due to a tightly packed field SUNRISE (P. S. Chouhan) was tightened for room and had to be checked.
Approaching the 200 metres, MYSTERIOUS GIRL (S. Zervan) shifted out onto SUNLORD (Neeraj Rawal) who in turn shifted out inconveniencing ANIMOUS (Bhawani Singh)
After the race, Jockey S. Zervan (MYSTERIOUS GIRL) reported that his mount was running erratic throughout the race. Trainer Vishal Gaikwad has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.4(22) –THE TO THE MANOR BORN PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1000 Metres –Runners- 12
MARVELLOUS (P. S. Chouhan, dr.5) was slow to begin
Soon after the start, LITTLE MORE (M. Ayyar) jumped outward and made contact EVANGELINE (Akshay).
Soon after the start, SLAM DUNK (H. Zeeshan) shifted in on to CIPLAD (S. Zervan) who had to be steadied. Jockey H. Zeeshan has been cautioned.
Passing the 800 metres, SLAM DUNK (H. Zeeshan) shifted out and carried ENLIGHTENED (T. S. Jodha) outwards. After questioning Jockey H. Zeeshan and not being satisfied with his explanation, he has been fined Rs.2000/-.
The Equine Hospital reported that TURMERIC TOWER and LITTLE MORE had right eye injuries.
RACE NO.5(23) –THE AMJAD KHAN TROPHY: (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 6
After the race, KOKOMO was trotted and found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
RACE NO.6(24) –THE CONTINUAL TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – Runners - 14
NAXOS (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.7) planted in the stall taking no practice part in the race. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
After the race, Jockey Mansoor Khan rider of WAFY reported loss of his whip passing 300 metres. This being first instance during the current Pune Meeting 2021, no action has been initiated.
After the race, IRISH EYES was found to be sore by the right fore leg. The filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, KAMARIA was trotted and found to be sound
RACE NO.7(25) –THE EVE CHAMPION TROPHY (GRADE 3): (About) 2000 Metres – Runners - 6
Passing 400 metres MAGISTERO (R. Rupesh, dr.3) leaned onto CAPRISCA (S. Zervan, dr.6) causing the latter to be checked. Jockey R. Rupesh has been cautioned.
The Equine Hospital reported that CAPRISCA had a right eye injury (sore).
RACE NO.8(26) –THE CABRIOLET PLATE - DIVISION I: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 10
TARZAN (App. P. S. Kaviraj, dr.2) & JUBILANT JOURNEY (C. S. Jodha, dr.10) were reluctant to stall. As such, Trainers Zadmal Singh and Imtiaz A. Sait have been asked to give their charge more gate practice and show them to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
GIVERNY (Neeraj Rawal, dr.1) was reluctant to stall and thereafter whipped around after the start. As such, Trainer Subhag Singh has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the filly to the satisfaction of the starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.
At the start, PISA (R. Shelar, dr.6) was observed to have taken a fly jump.
The Equine Hospital reported that TARZAN & ESFIR had left eye injuries (sore).
RACE NO.9(27) –THE COLOMBIANA PLATE: (About) 1400 Metres – Runners - 13
Passing the 1200 metres, due to a tightly packed field BLACK CHERRY (J. Chinoy) had to be checked.
Passing the 200 metres, BEEMER (Yash Narredu) shifted out thereby taking the ground of POWER OF NEATH (R. Shelar) causing the latter to be checked and dropped back. Jockey Yash Narredu has been fined Rs.3,000/-.
After the race, RON was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.
After the race, SANDALPHON was trotted and found to be sound
The Equine Hospital reported that BEEMER had both eye injuries, right eye (sore).

The urine samples of the winner of the race 1st, 6th & 9th race, viz. EXCELERATOR, FAIRMONT & PRIDE’S ANGEL, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
The urine and blood samples of the PARISIAN & TRULY EPIC (Winner & Second Place – 7th race) were collected for detection of prohibited substance.

ADDITIONAL REPORTS:
APPEAL BY JOCKEY P. S. CHOUHAN AGAINST THE PUNISHMENT IMPOSED ON HIM BY STIPENDIARY STEWARDS – ENQUIRY INTO THE RIDING ON JOHANNESBURG IN RACE NO.179 – THE LT. COL. GOVIND SINGH (VRC) TROPHY RUN ON SUNDAY, 21ST MARCH, 2021:
Appeal dated 25th March 2021, on the captioned subject matter was placed before and considered by the Stewards of the Club at their meeting held on Saturday, 30th October, 2021, having considered all papers and proceedings before them and having deliberated the matter, decided to modify your punishment.
In view of the above he has been fined Rs.50,000/- and suspension of his jockey licence stands cancelled.
ENQUIRY INTO THE COMPLAINT RECEIVED FROM JOCKEY H. ZEESHAN AGAINST JOCKEY S. ZERVAN FOR MISBEHAVIOUR/MISCONDUCT WITH HIM ON SATURDAY, 23RD OCTOBER 2021:
In this connection, the Stewards of the Club heard Jockeys S. Zervan and H. Zeeshan, having deliberated the matter, the Stewards were not satisfied with the explanation tendered by Jockey S. Zervan and held him guilty of gross misconduct. However, since he had admitted his guilt, apologized and assured the Stewards that he would refrain from such behavior in the future, the Stewards decided :-
1) to suspend his jockeys license w.e.f. 14th November, to 21st November, 2021 (both days inclusive); (permitted to ride work/mock race) and fined you Rs.25,000/-.
2) Further, to impose on him a suspended sentence of four months over the next two years i.e. if he is found guilty of any act of misbehavior / misconduct within the next two years commencing from 23rd October, 2021, then the aforesaid suspended sentence of four months would immediately come into force and effect and which aforesaid punishment would be in addition to any other punishment which the Stewards may impose on him for any subsequent act of his as regards the aforesaid.
