RACE DAY REPORTS

RAILS WERE PLACED AT 2 METRES WIDE FROM 2000 TO 1200 METRES. 3 METRES WIDE AT 1000 METRES 4 METRES WIDE AT 800 METRES, 5 METRES WIDE AT 600 METRES THEREAFTER 6 METRES WIDE UP TO THE WINNING POST. RAILS WERE PLACED AT 6 METRES WIDE IN THE CHUTE.

RACE NO.1(93) – THE RACINGPULSE.IN CUP (THE MID-DAY TROPHY - DIVISION II): (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

At the start, ZUKOR (Amyn Merchant, dr.3) jumped inwards onto SUPREME SPIRIT (C. Umesh, dr.2) who in turn went across NELSON RIVER (Neeraj Rawal, dr.1) who was marginally slow to begin.

At the start, GALWAY BAY (App. N. Bhosale, dr.9) jumped inwards and made contact with HILMA KLINT (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.8).

Approaching the 700 metres, SHE’S A TEASER (Vishal N. Bunde) shifted in under urgings thereby tightening and inconveniencing SUPREME SPIRIT (C. Umesh) racing on its haunches who had to be checked. Jockey Vishal N. Bunde has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

After the race, HILMA KLINT was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by right fore, the mare has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, DIVINE INTUITION was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, NELSON RIVER & SHE’S A TEASER were trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that NELSON RIVER was found to have sore right eye with ulcer and LIAM was found to have sore left eye.

RACE NO.2(94) – THE FREE PRESS JOURNAL TROPHY: (ABOUT) 2000 METRES – RUNNERS - 8

WILD SPIRIT (A. K. Aniket, dr.6) planted in the stall taking no practical part in the race. In view of the same and a similar behavior of the filly in her previous outing and was subsequently passed in a mock race. As such, Trainer Narendra Lagad has been asked show his charge in two mock races to the satisfaction of the Starter, before next accepting to race.

At the start, LION KING (H. Zeeshan, dr.3) jumped outwards and went across AMBER KNIGHT (S. Saqlain, dr.4) who had to be steadied.

After the race, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde (SPIRITUAL ROCK) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight. Trainer Himmat Singh has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Jockey T. S. Jodha (PRECIOSO) reported that approaching the 400 metres his mount was not galloping fluently due to which he had stopped riding, as such, the gelding was subjected to veterinary examination and the Sr. V.O. reported that PRECIOSO was trotted and found to be sound. Further, at the behest of the Stipendiary Stewards, endoscopy was performed on PRECIOSO at the Equine Hospital and was found to have EIPH (Gr. I).

After the race, MASTERY was trotted and found to be sound and LION KING was observed to have lost its right fore shoe.

After the race, SPIRITUAL ROCK was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that AMBER KNIGHT and SPIRITUAL ROCK were found to have sore left eye.

RACE NO.3(95) – THE TIMES OF INDIA TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1600 METRES – RUNNERS - 6

Approaching the 1400 metres, CHOPIN (Neeraj Rawal) leaned inwards thereby tightening WALL STREET (S. Saqlain) who had to be checked.

After the race, FLYING VISIT was examined by the Club’s Sr. V.O. and was found to be sore by left fore, the gelding has to be passed fit by Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

After the race, WALL STREET was observed to have broken a blood vessel and is not to race for the stipulated ban period of four weeks. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O., before next accepting to race.

The Equine Hospital reported that FLYING VISIT was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.4(96) – THE INDIARACE.COM TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES –RUNNERS- 10

At the start, TIME AND TIDE (M. S. Deora, dr.5) jumped inwards and went across GAZINO (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.4) who had to be steadied.

Passing the 150 metres, GAZINO (App. Mustakim Alam) shifted in and went across MAGILETO (Bhawani Singh) causing the latter to be steadied. After questioning, App. Mustakim Alam stated that his mount was hanging-in in the straight. Trainer Nosher Cama has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, ASHWA MAGADHEERA was trotted and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that ASHWA MAGADHEERA was found to have sore both eyes with ulcer in left eye and SUPERLATIVE was found to have sore right eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.5(97) – THE HINDU TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

At the start, STAR PROSPERITY (Vishal N. Bunde, dr.7) jumped outwards onto LIGHT OF LIFE (S. J. Sunil, dr.8) who had to be steadied.

In the final stages of the race, GODDES OF DAWN (Neeraj Rawal) lugged in due to which COLLATERAL (Dashrath Singh) racing on its haunches had to check and change course. After questioning Jockey Neeraj Rawal stated that his mount lugged-in, despite his efforts. Trainer Altaf Hussain has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Jockey Vishal N. Bunde (STAR PROSPERITY) reported that his mount was running green in the straight.

After the race, Jockey P. S. Chouhan (LITTORIO) reported loss of whip approaching the 150 metres. This being his first instance during the current Pune meeting 2023, no action has been initiated.

After the race, LITTORIO was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have wolf tooth on left side. As such, Trainer P. Shroff has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, MI ARION was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have wolf tooth on both sides and injuries on left hind fetlock and above the right hock. As such, Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

The Equine Hospital reported that COLLATERAL was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.6(98) – THE RACE MIRROR TROPHY: (ABOUT) 1400 METRES – RUNNERS - 14

After being stalled, LORD MURPHY (T. S. Jodha, dr.5) played up and hooked one of its fore in the front gates momentarily. As such, the gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s Sr. VO who certified him fit to race. Trainer Shazaan Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show the gelding to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

At the start, BOMBER (Dashrath Singh, dr.9) jumped outwards and made contact with FASHION ICON (Neeraj Rawal, dr.10).

At the start, PRINCE IGOR (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.6) jumped inwards onto LORD MURPHY (T. S. Jodha, dr.5) who had to be steadied.

At the start, MIGHTY WINGS (Shahrukh Khan, dr.8) jumped inwards and went across RODRI (K. Nazil, dr.7) who had to be steadied.

Approaching the 350 metres, AWAY SHE GOES (Vishal N. Bunde) weakened and dropped back as a result leaned inwards onto MIGHTY WINGS (Shahrukh Khan) who in turn went onto BLAZE CARSON (R. Ajinkya) along the rails causing the latter to be checked.

Jockey N. S. Parmar (GIMME) was observed to have used the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. This being his first offence during the current Pune Meeting 2023, he has been fined Rs.3,000/-.

After the race, Jockey Neeraj Rawal (FASHION ICON) reported that his mount was trying to run out throughout the race, despite his efforts. Trainer Dallas Todywalla has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, Jockey Dashrath Singh (BOMBER) reported that his mount was hanging-in in the straight, despite his efforts. Trainer S. K. Sunderji has been asked to take remedial measures, before next accepting to race.

After the race, PRINCE IGOR & BOMBER were trotted and found to be sound.

After the race, FASHION ICON was trotted at the stables and found to be sound.

The Equine Hospital reported that RODRI was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

RACE NO.7(99) – THE MID-DAY TROPHY - DIVISION I: (ABOUT) 1200 METRES – RUNNERS - 9

At the start, MY PRINCESS (M. S. Deora, dr.5) jumped outwards at the same time NORTHERN SINGER (App. Mustakim Alam, dr.7) jumped inwards due to which WALSHY (P. Shinde, dr.6) drawn between them was tightened and had to be steadied.

After the race, BELLAGIO was found to have an injury on left hock.

After the race, ADAMAS was found to have a gum injury.

After the race, NORTHERN SINGER was trotted and found to be sound.

After the race, WARRIOR PRINCE was trotted and found to be sound but was observed to have an injury on left fore bulb of heel.

The Equine Hospital reported that ADAMAS was found to have sore left eye and MOJO was found to have sore left eye with ulcer.

The urine samples of the winner of the 1^st & 4^th race, viz. SUPREME SPIRIT & TIME AND TIDE, were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
