RACE NO.1(178) - THE WARSAW PACT TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 10 Runners

 

BANANA BOY and EDGE OF GLORY were permitted to be withdrawn on compassionate ground.

 

PEZZONOVANTE (V.Phadke) took an awkward fly jump towards the outside.

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge GUNS N ROSES.

 

Jockey F.Irani was questioned over the manner in which he allowed his mount DOUBLE DIAMOND to jump out from the Gates. He was cautioned for not showing more vigor on leaving the Gates.

 

Near 200 metres, CAPITANO (Ishwar Pardeshi) lost his footing.

 

BLESSED (C.S.Jodha) hung out while negotiating the bend and also in the straight and carried GUNS N ROSES (A.Sandesh) outwards and both horses brushed near 100 metres. Trainer Magansingh P.Jodha has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

FESTIVAL NIGHT (App.Prasad) and TITLEIST (App.Nikhil Bhujbal) hung out in the straight. Trainers  S.S. Shah and Narendra Lagad have been asked to take remedial measures with their respective charge, before next accepting to race them.

 

Jockey Ishwar Pardeshi (CAPITANO) was dislodged from his horse after passing the Winning Post. The Jockey was certified fit to ride by the Medical Consultant.

 

After the race, TITLEIST, DIVINE and BLESSED were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.2(179) – THE NOBLE PRINCE TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 10 Runners

 

At the start, CLASSIC MONEY (S Zervan) leaned inwards and went on to FLIGHT TO FREEDOM (C.S.Jodha),  who in turn went on to CHIQUITA (A.Sandesh) who itself had shifted out due to KASKAZI (D.K.Ashish) shifting out after an awkward jump.

 

Soon after the start, MUMBAI KING (Dashrath Singh) stumbled.

 

Near 1000 metres, CHIQUITA (A.Sandesh) dropped out, due to which ASHWA APOLLO (App.Prasad), who was following, clipped the hind heels of CHIQUITA and became unbalanced.

 

Jockey S.Zervan (CLASSIC MONEY) reported that his mount hung in during the race. Trainer D.J.Surti has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the mare.

 

Trainer M.K.Jadhav and Jockey A. Sandesh were questioned regarding the running and riding of CHIQUITA. The Instructions were to ride a waiting race. The filly was little slow to move out of the Gates and shortly thereafter the filly was tightened for galloping room. The Jockey stated that he was held up between the 800 metres to the 600 metres when traveling behind CLASSIC

 

MONEY and was unable to improve his position at a crucial stage of the race. He added that the filly has a short spurt. This was confirmed by the patrol video and the explanation was noted.   

 

After the race, KASKAZI was observed to have a cut injury at the left hind cannon and CLASSIC MONEY had an abrasion at both hind fetlocks. MUMBAI KING was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.3(180) – THE CHANGE OF LUCK TROPHY: (About) 1600 Metres – 9 Runners

 

Trainer Rehanullah Khan has been fined Rs.3000/- for putting in late Declaration in respect of his charge SABA.

 

CAPITAL ATTRACTION (Dashrath Singh) lugged-in in the straight. Trainer Sanjay Kolse has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the filly.

 

Jockey Imran Chisty (OCTOPAUL) reported that soon after the start, the Neck Strap snapped.

 

After the race, SHERIFF, FORTUNE HUNTER, OKAVANGO and SABA were found to be sound. OCTOPAUL had a gum injury.

 

RACE NO.4(181) – THE MENORAH TROPHY: (About) 1400 Metres – 15 Runners

 

At the start, DISTANT PROMISE (J.Chinoy, dr.3) jumped awkwardly outwards on to DONATA (A.M.Tograllu, dr.4).

 

Shortly after the start, ROSE BOWL (App.Prasad) shifted out and hampered the running of DISTANT PROMISE (J.Chinoy). App.Prasad has been cautioned.                 

 

ETESIAN (App.S.Mosin) and LAZOR RAZOR (Akash Agarwal) travelled wide while negotiating the bend.

 

After the race, STAR ZONE and CHINGARI were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.5(182) - THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY (DIV.II):  (About) 1200 Metres – 9 Runners

After being stalled, HOT PEPPER (T.S.Jodha) played up and flipped over. The gelding was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to be sore from the left hind leg. As such,   HOT PEPPER was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. Since the gelding had behaved in a similar manner in its last run, Trainer S.S.Shah has been asked to give his charge more gate practice and show him to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Also, the gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

At the start, MACHO UNO (S.S.Baria) was slow to begin and tried to drift outwards.

 

WINGS OF GLORY (David Allan) hung out in the straight. Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding. 

 

After the race, FIRE FALCON was observed to have an abrasion at both the hind fetlock. WESTERN ANGEL, WINGS OF GLORY, ZOOM ZOOM and STAR FIRE LADY (examined on 01/10/2012) were found to be sound,

 

RACE NO.6(183) – THE SWEET MEMORIES TROPHY: (About) 1800 Metres – 8 Runners

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (RAZEENAA) has been fined Rs.1000/- for improper use of the whip wherein he had allowed his mount to shift out under the use of the whip, in the final stages of the race.

 

After the race, EQUINOX was observed to have an abrasion at both the hind pastern. SMOKEY BABA (examined on 01/10/2012) was found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.7(184) – THE MCDOWELL SIGNATURE PREMIER INDIAN ST.LEGER (GR.I): (About) 2800 Metres – 3 Runners

In the process of being stalled, BLING (Dashrath Singh) reared up and fell. The filly was examined by the Club’s V.O. and found to have suffered a cut injury at the right hip which was profusely bleeding. As such, BLING was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. The Trainer has to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with her to race.

 

Near the 2000 metres, SWIT MEMORIES ran wide, losing some ground.

 

RACE NO.8(185) – THE ANIMAL WELFARE BOARD OF INDIA TROPHY (DIV.I): (About) 1200 Metres - – 8 Runners

The Sr.V.O. reported that at the request of Trainer P.Shroff,  SET ABLAZE was examined at  0840 hours on 29/09/2012 . The filly was tied up severely after morning work. As such, SET ABLAZE was certified unfit to race and was withdrawn on Veterinary grounds. The Trainer has to obtain a fitness certificate for the filly from the Club’s V.O. before next accepting with her to race. 

 

WIND OF THE HILLS (Amyn Merchant) played up in the stall. The filly was taken out and examined by the Club’s V.O. and was found to have suffered a gum injury and was sore from the right hind leg. As such, WIND OF THE HILLS was certified unfit to race and hence withdrawn on veterinary grounds, before coming under the Starter’s Order. In view of the above and the filly’s behavior in her last outing where she was reluctant to be stalled, Trainer C.D.Katrak has been asked to give the filly more practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race. Also, the filly has to be passed fit by the Club’s V.O. before next accepting to race.

 

At the start, MATRIOSHKA (A.Ashhad Asbar) jumped awkwardly inwards and went on to STAR GAZING (J.Chinoy).

 

ROCKING (Dashrath Singh) lugged out during the race and while straightening for home, carried MATRIOSHKA (A.Ashhad Asbar) outwards. Trainer H.J.Antia has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

IL MORAN (D.K.Ashish) lugged out during the race. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to take remedial measures before next accepting to race the gelding.

 

Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar (MATRIOSHKA) has been fined Rs.1000/- for using the whip in excess of the prescribed limit on his mount. Also,  the Jockey has been fined a further sum of Rs.2000/- for using his whip in an improper manner, wherein he has used the whip with excessive frequency.  

 

After the race, SAMI was observed to have a cut injury at the right hind coronet and pastern. MATRIOSHKA and ROCKING (examined on 01/10/2012) were found to be sound.

 

RACE NO.9(186) – THE PENNYWISE TROPHY: (About) 1000 Metres – 14 Runners

 

ASTROMIA (App.Prabhu Naidu) lashed out and was reluctant to be stalled, as such, the filly was withdrawn before coming under the Starter’s Order. Trainer M.Narredu has been asked to give the filly more gate practice and show her to the satisfaction of the Starter at morning starting trials, before next accepting to race.

 

QUANDO QUANDO (A.Sandesh) lost 2 lengths at the start.

 

At the start, ASHWA PRAHAR (Dashrath Singh) jumped out awkwardly. QUANDO QUANDO (A Sandesh) who stood awkwardly in the Gates fly jumped and the Jockey was hit on his head and thereafter did not raise a fluent gallop.

 

Jockey Dashrath Singh (ASHWA PRAHAR) reported the loss of whip near 200 metres. This being the second occasion during the current Pune Meeting that he had lost his whip, he has been fined Rs.1000/-.

 

ITSMYWAY (A.Ashhad Asbar) kept an erratic course in the final stages of the race and in the process inconvenienced WILD IMAGINATION (Akshay). Jockey A.Ashhad Asbar has been cautioned.

 

Jockey V.Chandrakant (ADAMS VISION) has been fined Rs.3000/- for failing to persevere with his mount.

 

After the race, FREE AGENT was found to be sore by the left fore leg. The gelding has to be passed fit by the Club’s VO before next accepting to race.

After the race, LET IT FLY was observed to have a gum injury. QUANDO QUANDO was found to be sound.

The post race urine sample of the winner of 1st, 7th & 9th race, viz. GUNS N ROSES, IN THE SPOTLIGHT and DOMAIN ANNA,  as also that of ASTAPI & SWIFT MEMORIES (7th race), and the special sample of WINGS OF GLORY (5th race), were collected for detection of prohibited substance.
